Don - I know you sent a message on Etsy- just wanted to make sure you saw this one too! Introduction to My Studio! ua-cam.com/video/jdReWawkipc/v-deo.html
After I pour off the water from the top- I dump the sludgy clay stuff into my wooded area in my yard. If I didn’t have the area- I could dump in the trash. My objective is the keep it out of the trap!
Thank you for a great video. I have never seen it done before and I'm going to purchase one for my sink. Is that the 64 ounce size. How often do you have to change it (assuming you work part-time)?
+Nonni 5 Mine is the 43 ounce one! I honestly only change it about twice a year... but if I were working more consistently, I'd probably do it ever few months! :-)
@@KaransPotsAndGlass Wow what a quick response. Lol. Thank you. I’m afraid my drains may have some clay in them and I want to make sure that absolutely no more clay gets in there.
I have zero experience with anything that could be called a grease trap- so I can’t answer that. I’d be surprised if it is though, as I thought grease didn’t usually settle in water, but floated?
Thanks, Karan! I just got one of these installed in my classroom, but I wasn’t there when the plumber came.❤
I want to thank you for showing us all your nice spot you work in thank you

I have that same sink, and possibly the same studio set up. Thanks for the very helpful video!
if you pour an ounce or two of vinegar every few days in your sink, there will not be any mold in your trap
kaki bassi - BRILLIANT idea!!! Thanks!!!
This was very helpful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
That's incredibly useful! Thank you so much! 😍
Thank you!
Excellent video. I enjoy it very much. Thank you! Sifoutv Pottery
Where do I get such a big sink? Can you tell me how its called/ how the brand/model is called?
That's a basic utility sink available at any home store here in the US. Lowe's, Home Depot, they are carried about everywhere!
Do you pour the water in the bucket through the trap ?

I didn't know how to clean this thing and it's been over a month. When I say the smell knocked me on my ass...
Lol- yes- that anaerobic bacteria can really stink!!!!

Do you still use something else to clean off your hands before you wash in the sink, or does it collect all of the clay well enough?
I do pre-wash in/over a bucket in the sink! That collects much, and the Gleco gets stuff that the bucket does not!
