Excellent, far better approach than the NRS video. This leaves the boat stored in a flat, rectangular shape that is ideal for transporting it. Key feature I missed early on: the keels stay inside the outer edges of the kayak. I initially laid them outside. Inside is hope your get the flat surface after the two keels are aligned.
Thanks Jerold. With the Pike and other seated models, if you really pack the boat tight you can usually fit the seat over the top of the folded boat. It is a little harder than the soft seat boats such as te Paragon but it is doable.
Hi, I'm interested in purchasing this kayak but there aren't a lot of reviews out there. Before I take it out on the water, do you have any tips? Or a review?
Hi Breanne. Thanks for commenting. The Paragon series is quite unique in its design. The keels that make it trickier to pack in the bag (hence this video) are the key tonit paddling really well. They displace water and assist in tracking which results in the best performing inflatable kayak I have paddled. The high pressure floor also increases the performance and allows one to use it as a stand up paddleboard. Where are you located? We have some great deals on them as packages at aqoutdoors.com Cheers Simon
I have a Star Paragon and have taken it out a few times. This is not a full review, but does show the kayak quite a bit. I'll think about a review video soon. ua-cam.com/video/RPLrDEOGb-A/v-deo.html
@@AQOutdoors since I owned several kayaks not one did that after use !…so yea still no … a used kayak will not fold like that and that makes that video pointless!😂

Finally how many videos did I have to see to finally find this
Ha ha.. thanks for the awesome comment.. stoked you found it.
Thanks! This was invaluable learning to pack up my Star Paragon. By the third or fourth time out, I feel like I am starting to get it.
Stoked the idea helped..
@@AQOutdoors Very much so!
HUGE HUGE Help. Many thanks. You are a champion, mate!
My pleasure John. Stoked it was useful!

This was a huge help. Thank you!
Our pleasure Dave
Very helpful, thank you so much🦋
Our pleasure. Glad it could be of help!
Terrific vid. I wonder if I can use this same technique on my NRS Pike pro. I just got it the other day and struggled to get it back in the bag.
Thank you for checking out the video. I think it should work for the pike pro we would love to hear how that goes for you
awesome video! can you please post a folding video for the Star Challenger kayak please
Hi Ernie. We are out of the Challengers right now. When we get them back in stock we will post for sure!
You reslly need to pull the tubes in to the center line. Rught now I am just folding on a tarp and wrapping it up.
Thanks for the insight and thoughts..
Helpful video, thanks. For models with a chair, how is the chair packed?

Great tutorial! Could you please give me the dimensions of the bag with the kayak in it?
Thanks for the view and comment. I am not sure exactly the size (it is model dependant), however about 32" tall x 20" x 13"

"This is the manhandlingy bit."
Some good use of the English language right there on out part.. ha ha. Thanks for checking out the video.
The kayak your folding is it the star paragon XL
It is. Yes.
Can you fit the seatbacks in the bag also?
If you get really ninja on it some models you can. I never bother, it is pretty challenging.
is the floor on the paragon removable?
It is not.
@@AQOutdoors what a shame on a high end product. Hopefully the next version will have a removable floor to make drying it off easier
That is on a brand new never inflated kayak ….try that after some use 😂..it will never ever fit like that !
Ha ha ha... a good observation. If you make sure that you totally deflate it every time it does still work.

Followed this tutorial. It didn’t work . Had to watch someone who knew what they were doing. Bad fold for a badly designed boat
Sorry it didn't work out Eric. Hope you had more luck after watching another person do it.
