Because it doesn't have to create a fluid animation, an effort that recquires time and a lot of people, it can focus more on making each part of the page a painting on its own, sometimes with a lot more quality than most animation studios can hope for, not to mention it's a lot easier and less pace consuming to put texts in a page than to put dialogues, monologues and narrations in an episode that has to abide to a more limited or recquired runtime. Neither is inherently better than the other, they both have strengths and weaknesses that work in tandem to give as complete of an experience as possible.

Manga readers have a right to talk about the manga. Let's put it this way. If you're watching the Black Clover anime and decide to talk about what happens in episode 54 you'd inevitably be leaving a spoiler for a manga reader who is barely in chapter 20 of the manga. The story is already really advanced and you have a right to express what you think of the story at the point you are in it. If the manga is more advanced than the anime then too bad, the story written by the mangaka is where it's supposed to be and people can talk about it. If someone comes up to you and deliberately tells you to your face what happens later in the story that's bad, but if you get spoiled because in a conversation you hear people talk about a point in the story in which you are not caught up there's nothing you can do about it.

Manga and anime fans: *keeps hyping up for everything* 🤩 Comic book fans: *watching the industry burning itself and hopefully rebuilding it back in the future* 🙏🥺
Is quite literally shooting yourself in the foot. Best example of this is George RR Martin. Manga has 1 to 3 authors at best, with the main mangaka, it's editor and maybe assistants or the artist having input if is not the main writer (Kengan Ashura is an example of multiple people doing the story) A TV show has rotating writing staff, executives that can be far less competent with storytelling than an editor, way more people working on it (which means Oda realistically wouldn't even do every story board) and the posibility of Oda being kicked out or ignored. The closest thing to this being possible is Kubo doing storyboards for the anime exclusive scenes of Bleach TYBW and the author of Akira directing the movie while he was doing the manga. In one case the mangaka has finished it's main work and in the other case the movie ended up as the rough draft of the manga. This entire idea is just unrealistic.
No he doesn't. George RR Martin stop writing game of thrones to focus on the show and look how bad that went. So bad that he refuses to finish the rest of the story from the book format. So he just ruined two different forms of the medium. The good stuff that he had in the books that made logical sense and then the adaptation from the television show aspect both were ruined.
I feel the sentiment, but the main release isn’t the script, it’s the work itself, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson were successful books long before the script for their movie counterparts were written; straight to anime shows are good sometimes like Delicious in Dungeon, but most of the time it’s an anime-adaptation
Half of the stuff in the comics isn't translated to the movies, to be fair. His argument does work with the MCU because of how original the stories in the movies are and how much they differ from the comics. If the scripts got leaked it'd be a bigger scandal because they're for the most part original. But it's just not the same with One Piece, the Anime is almost always a 1:1 adaptation of the manga.
I prefer reading manga just because I can control the pacing of how much I absorb, instead of sitting through some of the cringe emotional segments that appear in anime 😂😂 and no filler is nice too
Yeah I can sit and process what I read and pace it to my ability to comprehend. Like when I watch something sometimes I need to go back a few seconds cuz I missed something or speed up because they can't stop yapping.
There would be no anime if oda didn’t create the manga. I agree with the spoiling, but that’s not Oda’s fault. He works on the manga first, which got animated.
Honestly, the problem isn’t manga being released before the anime the problem is how 90% of the community don’t care about spoiling it for people who only watch the anime
Because there's no need to be careful, One Piece has been out for 25 years, there is so much content to talk about that you simply can't be careful to not leave a spoiler. Talking about the story at all is making a spoiler. You have to understand how massive the One Piece fan base is and how many of us read the manga actively and want to talk about it.
Nah, even satan wants that level of ignorance outside of his paradise of bloodshed, slaughter and torture (I don't think that hell is a paradise, I meant that satan thinks of hell as a paradise)
Him: Can you imagine if someone leaked the script the script for avengers endgame a year before the movie came out? Tom Holland: *panics in British/English*
He legit sounds like a kid complaining to his mom. If you actively chose not to consume the series in it’s main medium then you’ll have to avoid places where manga discussion is popular. If I read a chapter I’ll want to discuss it with others that read it too that day. I’m not gonna wait a year for the anime to adapt it just so I can talk about it. Him calling manga the manuscript of anime just shows how little he understands this shit.
I respect your opinion, but the manga is NOT a storyboard 💀 Given how poorly paced 90% of the anime is the manga is probably the only way to enjoy One Piece at a reasonable pace. By reading the manga (Oda's original work) you can catch up and enjoy everything in a month or two, three months if you're a slow reader, most people take half a year to catch up watching the anime. The manga can exist without the anime, that's why it's part of the big 3, but the anime without the manga is nothing. The anime is good the way it is, it's an ADAPTATION for a reason. If you have a problem with getting spoiled because you don't read the manga that is no one's fault but yours.
All my friends are One Piece stans. Them telling me that I would love Robin and Chopper is what got me through the rougher parts. Post Alabasta this has been less of a problem

Bro when I watched the anime I got spoiled about so much like aces death cause people kept telling about it it’s not just the manga and when I said to not spoil I got flamed for it so just stfu.
Bro one manga readers will talk about what happened if you don't want to know tell them to stop and say you haven't reached there if the rest of the people you know want to to talk about it leave the conversation
I mean manga spoilers suck, but manga isn't like storyboards, it's stand alone content
That’s like saying the Harry Potter books were just story boards 💀
What? One Piece came from a manga, and this manga have been a part of Oda's life. His journey creating a masterpiece. You can't just ask Oda to leave his work worth of lifetime just so that an animation company could earn more from his idea.
And by your logic then why toei didn't just stop making one Piece anime so that people could enjoy the netflix adaptation more?
Fr most people only watch anime for the fight sense Manga is way better
His take isn't just bad... it's honestly offensive and really disrespectful to both the author and the medium itself.
@@rd3munna812 That's just your opinion bro. I'm caught up to the anime and I know that manga would not give me the same experience that I had watching the anime.
I fully agree. Tolken should have just talked to the movie directors instead of giving his story board to the public for everyone to spoil. So stupid.
Who?

@@NoahToledo-xo5pj oh ok thanks for letting me know appreciate it
Calling manga a "story board" is disgustingly disrespectful.
Bro think the anime is the main release💀💀💀💀
normally i agree but manga is not a storyboard a manga is not a script it is the original form of media that the series is published in (a comic format) if u dont read that then so be it 🤷♂️ its your choice whether or not to read the ORIGINAL content - plus anything that happens in the anime not in the manga is usually not canon to the actual series unless stated otherwise by the creator

Calling a manga a storyboard is like saying that novels are movie scripts
Its like saying marvel comics are the scripts to the movies

Bro forgot books and book adaptations exist 💀
I can hear all the manga readers screaming and punching the air right now lmaooo 😂
And not just one piece manga readers lol
The main release is the manga not the anime
Are you seriously saying that manga writers don't work hard enough and need to do work for their adaptations as well??

Ultra instict is a example of what would happen if gear 5 released before the manga version
wasnt it released in the manga too/
UI was done by the TOEI staff though. The director asked Toriyama to make a new form and he pulled it out of his ass (granted this was his go to and he cooked with UI) the situation is completely different.

@@stef4estef that’s what you do but Netflix takes info like what you watch and sell it to UA-cam and guess what you get recommendations on what you watched and thanks to that I saw 5 arcs spoiled in 3 shorts

I’ve always said that even if it’s spoiled I still enjoy it. Like I was spoiled for the end of rdr2… and I still cried like a baby, even after replaying the game… I still cry like a baby

Literally the Solo Leveling Experience
stop caring about spoilers, problem solved
This makes a good point BUT how will it be animated if the manga doesn't get released?
Is quite literally shooting yourself in the foot. Best example of this is George RR Martin.
Manga has 1 to 3 authors at best, with the main mangaka, it's editor and maybe assistants or the artist having input if is not the main writer (Kengan Ashura is an example of multiple people doing the story)
A TV show has rotating writing staff, executives that can be far less competent with storytelling than an editor, way more people working on it (which means Oda realistically wouldn't even do every story board) and the posibility of Oda being kicked out or ignored.
@@NoahToledo-xo5pj good point
He’s got a point ngl.
Good idea but doesn’t really think about realistic it is
No he doesn't.
Y'know saniis looking mighty fine in egghead Island
I feel like even if it just gets released per episode people will spoil it anyways on social media. There is no escape from shitty people.

Zoro throwing it back is what I needed this morning
do he know that Marvel s movies are from magazines?
Half of the stuff in the comics isn't translated to the movies, to be fair. His argument does work with the MCU because of how original the stories in the movies are and how much they differ from the comics. If the scripts got leaked it'd be a bigger scandal because they're for the most part original.
But it's just not the same with One Piece, the Anime is almost always a 1:1 adaptation of the manga.
And that's why the term "JJK anime only" doesn't exist
"can you imagine if they realize avanger..." Me screaming at the phone: "YOU MEAN THE COMICS!!!!"

THESE are some SERIOUS anime hot takes. GODDAMN. 💀
Agreed this is the only problem I have with manga
Tbh the solution is just for people to put spoiler warnings when talking about new chapters until the corresponding anime episode premieres.
As a person who only reads Manga, I’m deeply offended 💀
This has got to be one of the worst takes I’ve ever heard
here's a actual problem with manga: you have to buy every single "episode"
Meanwhile those of us that are still catching up don’t have this problem. 😂
Bro is focused on getting a spoiler not about zero being oiled up
I prefer reading manga just because I can control the pacing of how much I absorb, instead of sitting through some of the cringe emotional segments that appear in anime 😂😂 and no filler is nice too
Yeah I can sit and process what I read and pace it to my ability to comprehend. Like when I watch something sometimes I need to go back a few seconds cuz I missed something or speed up because they can't stop yapping.
@@humanbeingdood exactly!!! It's an entirely different experience!
There would be no anime if oda didn’t create the manga. I agree with the spoiling, but that’s not Oda’s fault. He works on the manga first, which got animated.
The main release IS the manga until toei gets their shit together. Oda's artwork is part of what makes the series and the anime does not capture that.
Zoro finally learned the 4 swords fighting style
This is so true I literally got spoiled on G5 Bonney 😭
Dude trying to offend every mangaka in history
Honestly, the problem isn’t manga being released before the anime the problem is how 90% of the community don’t care about spoiling it for people who only watch the anime
Because there's no need to be careful, One Piece has been out for 25 years, there is so much content to talk about that you simply can't be careful to not leave a spoiler. Talking about the story at all is making a spoiler.
You have to understand how massive the One Piece fan base is and how many of us read the manga actively and want to talk about it.
he’s got a point, and im *not* hearing it in the comments.
people treating anime as the main release deserve a special place in hell
Nah, even satan wants that level of ignorance outside of his paradise of bloodshed, slaughter and torture
(I don't think that hell is a paradise, I meant that satan thinks of hell as a paradise)
The manga doesn't spoil the anime it increases the hipe around certain moments which attracts an audience
Him: Can you imagine if someone leaked the script the script for avengers endgame a year before the movie came out?
Tom Holland: *panics in British/English*
The manga is the official version of the story. Calling it a storyboard for the anime is a terrible take lol.
I respect your opinion, but the manga is NOT a storyboard 💀
Given how poorly paced 90% of the anime is the manga is probably the only way to enjoy One Piece at a reasonable pace.
"I know but..." Alright, that's it
This is Jacobs worst take, it's like saying the harry potter book series was a storyboard
I think oiled up Zoro throwing it back is Endgame level
As someone who's an anime only watcher, even i got confused when he said that manga is a storyboard 😂
Original anime(non-adaptation) has joined the chat

I honestly prefer the mangas to the animes in most cases. Especially when there’s a recurring VA who gets on my nerves.
Thats such hot take that ace shared some of his moisturizer lotion with you
Then there's the episode titles spoiling every major event: 'Luffy's dead? Blackbeard hits the griddy, and Zoro and Sanji are making out!'

I imagine the manga to anime argument is the same as the sub to dub premiere.

I thought the Punchline is that Avengers Endgame was spoiled by the comics too.
This is more like a problem with manga readers rather than manga itself.
