i think one of the most fun parts about this game is that it really didnt judge or penalize you for failure... you COULD keep playing the game even if you failed the main story, and the game let you restart from the beginning at any time, even keeping your characters progress on stats, so you could eventually have a super badass frank that can powerbomb zombies before you even have a weapon.

a few tips for anyone who wants to try this game. if you fail the main mission case, you DO get an option to continue to play. the game will continue like normal, just without the whole main story, so you can still save the survivors and explore. the game is meant technically to be replayed, that is why all stats carry over on a new save on the same save file (the remasters also let you have more than 1 save file). people always talk about the mega buster or mini chainsaws. well, you need to sink a ton of hours just killing zombies to obtain the mega buster. the mini chainsaw, you get from the psycho Adam the clown, who is one of the hardest boss' in the game (esp. at a low lvl). the mannequin torso, easily found outside the elevator in the warehouse, is the most OP regular weapon in the game, it shreds psychos' health. for reference the fight with Carlito at the beginning in the food court, takes 2 hits from the torso. also when you get the mini chainsaws, they respawn when you leave the area and come back, BUT if you get the 3 magazines that buff the chainsaw, you can carry 2 chainsaws, kill everything in your way the whole game and probably never need to go get a 3rd chainsaw. the mini chainsaws, and queen bees make escorting survivors super easy once you figure it out. there's a lot more to this game, lots of hidden secrets and hidden weapons. just for fun, there is also a skateboard magazine that makes them a bit more durable, and allows frank to ollie/kickflip over obstacles lol makes travelling thru the park faster. frank west pro skater.
as an avid Project Zomboid player, I feel such rage watching a helicopter hover over the survivors and take pictures does Frank West know how many safehouses he just ruined
I have vivid memories staying up waayyy too late taking turns playing these games with my sisters. we still tell each other other "I'll kill you with nature!" due to a funny incident with the plants in the 2nd game

It was the closest I ever got to speedrunning for an achievement, because it took a few tries to get a route down. Hi, Australia here. We’re the ones who made the song “Dumb Ways to Die”. We’re so pleased to see it being used in all areas of life and wish to see more of it in the future
I saw a video of Kevduit playing Dead Rising this morning. Not more than 3 hours later, CallMeKevin uploads a Dead Rising video. The Kevins are uniting in my desire for Dead Rising content and I'm all for it. Thanks, Kevins!
"dumb ways to die" was Metro trains in Melbourne, Australia. we had posters and billboards and cinema ads as well as tv ads. it was everywhere for a good few years.
This was the main reason I wanted an Xbox 360 back when it released. When it was released, if you weren't playing on an HDTV, you couldn't read like any of the words or text in the game, and it was brutal. Still such a fun game and me and my friend pretty much stayed up all night playing this game as much as we possibly could. I remember before it came out and the hype of it and it just being the coolest zombie game ever in our eyes. Good times.
This is one of my all time favourite games. I’ve played it so many times that I could do it blindfolded. Dead rising 2 is my favourite out of all of them. Especially the dlc edition, or whatever you would call it. It’s great to see you play it ❤

Easiest blinder to get to is upstairs, where you found that other photographer guy. I spent a lot of time mixing things to see what kind of shakes Id get as a kid, and its the first thing I did on every play through for health items.
