Kim, I too found the comments odd. I’ve lived in NJ for over 40 years and never feel afraid. Now that crime is up every where I’m a little more cautious but not afraid. Going to a park and walking or sitting on a bench and reading is NORMAL. Keep posting the blogs,we are enjoying them.

As a young girl in my 30s, my loved ones always tell me to be safe no matter what I do or where I go, and I am so grateful for that. I get noticed a lot when I do things by myself. No one is saying not to live your life or allow fear to cripple you. Just be safe while doing it and watch your surroundings.

You are very right. You can’t live in fear. Fear will rob you of life. I had a chance to see and fall in love with Jamaica because I didn’ let fear of the unknown stop me. I even met some beautiful people who have become like family to me. Even was given a chance to speak at one of the great churches in Portland. I’m heading back in a few months. Can’t wait.

Hi Kim, the viewers love you and care for you and concerned for you, I don't think they are telling you to stop it's just to be aware as we do live in an ever changing world. It's not personal. Continue to vlog your park scenes and reading a book it's very therapeutic calm beautiful parks and places you have seen. Just continue to do what you are doing still show it. Make haste whilce the sun shines as the weather will soon get colder and colder and dark nights and mornings soon come and will be too wet and cold to sit in Paris.

Kim, you sitting in the park reading was just me. I loved it! However, like those commenting, I did think it’s slightly dangerous. I live in the UK and a lot of stabbings take place in parks, mainly between the young teenagers but there have been random attacks for no apparent reason. Yes, you want to live a free life but just be aware of your surroundings. It’s all love ❤

Thank you for the series suggestion. Feel 100 better. I also take citanin C, and when I do not continue. I DEFINITELY feel a cold coming on. Luckily, throughout the year, I am in a sunny climate. I get away from the colder climate. I am a park person and I find it difficult when visiting in USA not having the freedom of sitting in a park, a restaurant, travelling, with those Ibwrnt to trying to fill my head with fear. Anything I do has my me time and full joying life. You do, you lady. 🎉

Yes! I agree don't let fear restrict you. I encourage you to explore your new state but definitely take precautions. Its some towns/cities in NJ I wouldn't recommend at all. But just continue to do your research just like you've been doing and enjoy. One thing my grandma always tell me its crime all over. I was just watching channel 12 news and I hear how a man was hold up at gun point in Paramus. Paramus is a rich white town. One thing I can say is as the time gets colder and with holidays coming up this the time when crime rise. Continue to Gwwan do the do my girl and ketch home before night fall.
