Always looking forward to the launch day videos! Thanks for giving us the most in-depth look at the new bows before we head to the shop and shoot one.
Hoping to get my hands on a demo today and test it out.
I love my Phase 4, but there’s just something about Mathews release day that gets me jacked up man
I'm a big Mathews fan (all though I almost religiously shoot Obsession) even Missions are fantastic for the money but I've seen so many Phase 4's traded in & I'm not sure why.
Make sense on why you haven't posted any recently. Looking forward to watching the hunts! We need a Mathews discount code! 😃
I will never understand why Matthew’s and Hoyt launch their new bows in the middle of hunting season
It’s always the same thing “this is so exciting and innovative blah blah blah.” These bows haven’t changed much in yrs
@@KSN2019 I am totally in the same boat. The new ibo of this bow is 348. My Triax, 5 years old, is 343.... I don't think the speed would be a reason to upgrade. There are a few nice upgrades but not worth it for me at this point.
To get those Q4 numbers across the finish line $$$
@brentbandy3566 Truth. They don't want a lot of last years bows left on the shelf.
I believe it is because this is peak bow season. Everyone is bow hunting and talking bow hunting. It’s the best time to market when it’s on everyone mind.
New Mathews shooter here.. . Whole new ballgame for me.
Your videos are incredibly informational. Thanks for the great content.
I'm coming from traditional archery and if there's anything I learned about buying a quality bow, just do it right off the bat. This will be my first compound bow and I'm going with the lift 33. If I was to take all the money I spent on two and three hundred dollar bows, I'd be able to buy a high dollar custom bow but instead, I have a wall full of cheap garbage. LOL. Awesome content Chris. Keep it up 🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥
Was not a fan of the Phase 4, but this thing has my attention now. Looks amazing and has great features. Lots of things changed from last year and price didn't increase much. WOW
Shot the LIFT 33 today and it's now on hold for me to pickup tomorrow when I bring my old bow in for trade in. I can't freak'n wait! Also got mine in earth
Thank you Chris for all of the information on Sept. I custom ordered a black and dune phase 4 with the uv3 site because the xl was out of stock and hinted with it love it what a difference and now last night just ordered the uv3xl with the vertical pins money week spent!!!!
I watched people shooting the LIFT at an archery shop. There was a guy shooting a Phase 4 near them. The Phase 4 sure sounded more quiet than the LIFT did. The LIFT they were shooting was all decked out with a stabilizer, etc. ( I think it was the factory demo setup sent to the dealer, fully equipped). The Phase 4 was equipped similar and it was easily more quiet. Also, the guy shooting the LIFT said the draw cycle was very heavy at the front end of the cycle. Very interesting! I have not shot one, just sharing what I have seen so far.
My dealer said all of the LIFTs so far have come in really heavy in terms of draw weight. With a 70# mod they are drawing close to 75 lbs, etc. Another interesting point.
Noice bow 👍🏼🤠
I put sharpie dots on my arrow fletch from 1 to 6 and always shoot 1 to 3 for targets and 3 to 6 for my broadheads. Loving my PSE embark spec opps got to save up for a better sight and arrow rest for 3D next season but it's definitely a deer Harvester for now. 👍🏼🤠🇨🇦
Cannot express how excited I am for this new bow backcountry hunting has just changed
Hasn’t changed a bit…still same old same old
I still shoot my z7 extreme tactical since it was new. Still looks like new. I’m happy with it and still kills all I need. I wouldn’t mind shooting one these newer Mathews bows
I was the same way with my Z7 Extreme....now I have a lift 29.5 and no money.
@@deejdubyalol same here
Sounds like a great bow. My Phase 4 is 55 lbs and 26 inch dl. So, likely no significant change in speed with the Lift for me.
You need to put a mini split AC/heat pump in your shop! Super quiet, super efficient! I’m an HVAC guy in southern Iowa and it would be perfect set up for you! Love watching your videos man, but you gotta stay comfortable!
I'm so stoked, already told my local shop to hold their 29.5 in specter for me. Upgrading from the v3 27.
thanks to Chris for all the info ..love all my ultraview equipment.
I have finally learned that when "1/8 - 1/4 turn" cable tuning adjustments are needed, this is only cured with Dan McCarthy's In-Time cable timing spacers....they are the bomb for small cable adjustments!
Seeing you hand pull the bow during adjustments makes my sphinkter pucker on anxiety. Awesome bow... Just custom ordered the 33 in a blackout with white strings, very excited
Love these bow build vids Chris! also it was pretty funny how you just went and grabbed an Ac unit and filmed it 😂
Man the new Mathews bow is the meant of the bows. Wish I had the means to get it. Long time Mathews bow fan only bow I have ever used. My Mathews bow is 12 years old LOL but still a great bow
Love the content!! Switched to Mathews in ‘21 and absolutely love it!!
They sent 75lb mods😬😂 8:25
Me pullling back 60 😢😢
u should get the hoyt r38 ultra kendall love the vids man
hey kg
Kendal, I love u man ur one of my biggest inspirations for hunting and outdoors things. I might get a bow for christmas but money is tight so I dont know yet. Love you man
Great video build as usual Chris….
Well done!
Your goat hunt on the Mathews site is great….congrats!
Gonna be real surprised if you can stick to a 350 spine. 300 spine is technically weak for 75lbs and almost 350 IBO much less 80 lbs. I'd like to hear some follow up on the arrow setup.
Maybe he has a short draw length?
28" draw he said
No reason for Chris not to run 300, I understand people trying to get away with old arrows but Chris can just get a few new batches sent for free I'm guessing.
@@bent13ways it’ll be interesting to see what he ends up with then. Mine’s 28.5 and I had a hard time getting even 300s to tune out of my 80# rx7. But Chris is probably better than me at that
Wonder why he's having trouble tuning.....🤔 is it Victory Bogus Spine mark or the fact he's too weak....
I always like your launch day videos better than most cause we get to see everything not just a 5 minute video of here it is see ya thanks for watching. Great content keep up the good work!
It's cool to see you still get excited unboxing them
I’m sold. Tax return just in time for spring weather. Love watching your bow build vids!
I’ve shot the v3 v3x and the phase 4 and went and shot the lift the yesterday I absolutely loved it and could tell the difference in the weight and I love the cams
I'm interested to see the shot analytics in action. As confident as i am with my process, it would be super cool to make those small adjustments that add to consistency at long distances.
LETS GOOO!!!! Absolute fire of a bow! Ready to get my hands on one!
Love the content. I've learned a whole lot and just set up my new bow with info from your channel. I appreciate what you do.
Been a long 3 weeks without any Chris bee videos!
Have a mini split installed. Get at least an 18,000 BTU unit and it will heat/cool your shot, they are super quiet and very efficient.
nothing says "I'm BS'ing" more than saying the zebra strings were almost the industry leading strings
Yea, zebras are junk.
I always look forward to your new bow builds Chris!
Nice bow Chris. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I seen your goat hunting video from matthews and it was sweet.
Anyone notice the slowmos at the end and the cams wobble like a tweaker that dont have its fix?
Awesome video and what a awesome bow Mathews out did themselves again
Love the bow build man! Looking to get my first mathews once season is over.
Get it before the season is over an do some hunting with it
Shop all the bows
@@CLott91 Didn't want to have to tune a bow in the peak of the season but that was a good idea lol
Looking back at this video now cause 7 months after I made this comment, my Mathews Lift 29.5 is on its way!
I’ve wondered about your Sharpie mark for your nock set in your previous videos, too. If you’re putting the mark on the line at the bottom of the T square, and the bottom of the square is just touching the bottom of the rest where the bottom of the arrow is going to be on the rest, shouldn’t the sharpie mark be the bottom of the nock?
Yep it should be the bottom of the nock to be level with the rest.
I'm wondering the same thing!
I just bought a Mission Sub1 XR and I love it! The Best Crossbow I've had
Let’s gooo!
Since they released these, they have had major major limb problems. They had such a great bow. This ones a problem waiting to happen... Check it out on the forms.A lot of people and I mean a lot of people have cracked limbs and inconsistent arrow flight
We here lets get it done...can also attest at least for my phase 4 29 at 28.5 dl 72 pounds 4mm axis cut to 27inches ctoc the 340 spine tuned better with broadheads over the 300 spine all things the same 180 grains up front
Not usually a big yellow threads fan, but that looks pretty good.
Said I wasn't going to get a bow this year after getting the phase 4 29. But I may just end up getting the Lift 29.5. Awesome video!
Sweet! Another Halon!
Honestly though, Mathews and Hoyt gotta step it up in the tune-ability aspect. Bowtech and Elite are killing it with on the fly tune-ability. Sweet bow though.
Went to buy one today and none of the bow shops have em here in Iowa!
I'm waiting patiently for my lift to arrive I haven't bought a new bow in a long time I just subscribed to your channel awesome content!
They need to bring back the stone color. By far the best one they’ve had
Let’s go new bow looks really cool
been with hoyt for most of my life but this is almost making me change to mathews
Great video! Excited to try the new bow out and possibly hunt with it
I just bought the phase 4 less than a month ago and of course they had to come out with a new bow
Im curious if a 300 spine arrow would have cleaned up you nock high. Had to LIFT my card and buy the 33 today, definitely felt lighter leaving the shop lol. Cant wait for mine to come in with their first batch.
Good video Chris! I'm glad to see Mathews going big on their new bows "personally I have not really see any what I would call big change since the Halon". And as Bow Technician I really appreciate the set up...especially the oops I went the wrong way. Question, do these still have the Top hat system to "shim" for left and right tuning?
As far as watching and listening to the sound of it, it does sound a little "poppier" as you said, but I be it is not really any louder. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming hunts!
still using top hat system
Great and interesting video. Am fairly new to archery, I have a nice recurve bow and now look to get a hunting bow for hunting here in France. I would be interested to hear how much the set up you have arranged here costs including the sight. Thanks
Man, I would love to have one of these but my wallet says I need to stick with my Switchback XT.
Switchback is legendary
My switchback is almost more reliable than my VXR
So does mine, but I’m tired of listening to my wallet. Time to make extra money.
I wish I still had my switchback. That was the real game changer with compound bows
SAME lol
This new bow is a must have. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.
For the 33 its .4 lbs lighter and 7 fps faster then the phase 4. Also 30 bucks more. I’ll try it at the archery shop but I don’t think I’m going to switch. Now if I can order those Match strings for the phase 4 I’m all in.
I love this new bow it looks so good. I’ve been waiting so long for it to drop and you to make a new video I was so excited to see you post this
I'm so torn between the new colors lol. On the Mathews bow builder and in your video, the Earth looks like how the Granite looks in person. And in person the Earth looks darker. And I don't even want to talk about the fade to blacks lol.
happy to see there is not too much new stuff, i just custom ordered a Phase 4 ahahah
Launch day, heck yeah! This thing is sweet
Gonna try and get to my bow shop and give it a go. Awesome video, as always Chris! 🤙🤘
I’ve been waiting for their new bow for this hunting season awesome bow, Mathews is always coming out with great tech
Glad your posting again
Better and better!
Looks pretty sweet 🔥
Guess I need to work a few overtimes to order the bow and finally make my VXR28 my backup bow.
Just bought my lift 33today in granite. Waiting for it to arrive in the shop.
Mine shoots lights out! This bow is so well balanced and fast. Running sight tape 1 with my landslyde.
since i started watching you ... ive started dropping everything ! eggs , my phone , keys ..lol
Why is everyone saying these bows shoot way slower than advertised? When they test them they are bare strings with no monkey tails which I believe weigh around 30 grains as a set. So if you are shooting a d loop,a peep, and monkey tails they shoot in the 330s which is right around its IBO rating. So I don’t know why people are claiming it’s way slower
Very Nice. Not sure of price point. I too have stayed with my Triax and believe it or not my ol reliable Heli M. Single Cam Rules. And my pocketbook doesn’t scream
I’m excited for this bow
Can you make a video explaining the three different sight positions?
The new color is so awesome!
I bought one on release day! I love your videos, btw!
Lol I like the new bow but the videos you make are the best so we had the new lift,uv slider, and the best sir conditioner
All shades of light brown and tan are called PEANUT BUTTER!!!
Your next grip with a window will be a fun design process.
What peep sight do you use
Thoughted is wanted a phase 4... nope, not now 😂
He said he feels like Bob Ross 😂
That bow is a beautiful creation, sir. 😊
Awesome set up and a bow! Great build and sight! Just a quick one - what fetching are you running on your Victory arrows? btw - which arrows ? V1 V3 ? TKO , SS? cheers
Curius, do the earlier generation lowpro quiver brackets fit the newer cut-outs on the Lift or need adapters ?
It seems like the sound is quieter. Definitely more snappy.
Wish we got it in a 34 but still is a beauty love it 😍
If you check the distance of the Lift 33 from the radius part of the top limb down to the radius part of the bottom limb you will have your 34 plus a lot more
You should do a build to see how much lighter you could get your set up. Like use the carbon bridge lock stabilizers and maybe like a spot Hogg Hogg-it
I have a 3 pin fast eddie, and it's like a brick compared to my 5 pin axcel slider.
I’m impressed with Mathew’s but since I went back to pse evolve from Hoyt again I’m just set on staying with pse every time I strayed from pse I wished I hadn’t but I’m am very impressed and curious about the new Mathew’s lift
Did anyone else notice he tied his d-loop backwards? It is a left handed d-loop. 🤦♂️
WRONG, top knot faces away from archer when shooting handheld release
Bow may be lighter but it certainly doesn’t look any faster. 5 lb added DW with a 10 fps increase in speed. And they are using IBO speed rating for Hype. It’s Still a very nice bow
Looking forward to all the content to come.
Let's see them hunts!!
You’re making want to switch over to a Mathews bow. I’ve been shooting only a darton for many years and I’m 🤏 close to switch over.
Can't wait to get one. Just going to take me a yr to save up for it.
Can’t wait to see the hunts. Great looking bow.
Love the video you were the one that made me buy a Mathew’s and I love it
I plan on buying one but am on the fence about 29.5“ or 33“. The bow will be used on 3D targets only because hunting is not allowed in my country and might want to attend TAC. I‘m a smaller male (175cm height and 67kg) with a draw length of 27.5“. What would you guys recommend?
29.5 for better string angle, 33 if you want a more stable platform
