    I LOVE THE VISION LIFT BOOMERANG COVER LIFTER! Works perfect on my 7’ x 7’ Nordic encore LS tub…. Had a stroke last year and have right side paralysis. Had many requirements for my first tub and this cover lifter filled many of those needs…
    1. Tub needed to protrude from deck to chair height and this lifter, outside the decorative cover is stationary, DOESNT move, thus making it easy to build the deck around.
    2. Needed to be able to open/close without stepping off the deck onto ground. Does that. Single handedly!
    3. Wanted an unobstructed view.Cover goes all the way to the ground!
    LOVE IT!

    Remember folks, we’re sculpting a hot tub cover lifter. It’s OK to use your imagination. 😂

    At 5:10 he drives the screw into the cross bar until it strips. Then depresses the drill trigger again and holds it for a bit, just to make sure it's fully stripped. How about you put your drill clutch on 1 instead of drill? First day?

      And the covers for the hydrologic arms take a 3/8 box end

    this helps a lot, because the contrast in the instructions makes it hard to see what they are talking about. Unfortunately the lighting in the video isn't much better. Whoever makes these videos needs a light bulb.

    Do you have instructions to fit the boomerang part to the standard mount cover lifter?

  • @MattLong-vv1oc
    @MattLong-vv1oc 8 місяців тому

    Does the mounting bracket need to be secured to the 2x4 frame of the hot tub or does the bracket just get secured to the outer cabinet panels?

    Can the boomerang brackets be installed on a standard (non hydraulic) mount? I was told by a representative of the company that they could be, but they sent them without instructions and I can’t find any online. I’ve tried contacting them but they don’t respond

    Inadequate directions or faulty design. We have deck mount, but there is no way to keep the lifter from sliding forward or backward(off center). We had to add a screw hole on the mounting bracket to keep it from sliding out of alignment.

    I am trying to replace a shock, but it will not compress.

    Will this work for the H2X 15D swim spa?

    Can’t get the thing to “snap” on! It’s a hair too long and won’t compress!!!

    Will this work with tops that are 108" long?

    • @garzilla2k480
      @garzilla2k480 Рік тому

      It BARELY fits. There isn't much overlap on the side bars. I wish they were like 1-2" longer. If it doesn't hold up, I'll need to find a way to extend the side poles.
      I have a Master Spa Clarity Balance 9. These are 9ft long and have a top that measures 109".

      Install done. It doesn't have enough assist for the size of cover I have. My wife can open the top but not close it. I wonder if more powerful shocks would help? It might overload the strength of the mounting points though.
      I used the free mount system and am happy with the install.

    Just installed it with thanks to other commenters for pointing out issues with instructions. One other caution - video says 1.25 inch wood screws, written instructions say 1.5 inch wood screws, but it came with 2 inch wood screws. You dont need more than an inch, so watch out for the screws damaging hot tub internals.

    They don’t tell you that this cover lifter is for tiny hot tubs…

    Wish I did not buy this. The instructions are extremely difficult to follow even though I am an experienced engineer - I ended up watching the installation video a bunch of times to get it right. The pistons are undersized for larger covers, and make no difference. We bought this for the clearance at the back so it would fit into a tight space which really is the key feature. I could not get clarity on how much clearance space was required for the cover. 13 inches, 14, 20, it all depended on where I looked. A request for clarification on the company web site was not even responded to. We ended up taking this boat anchor off and it sits now in the garbage pile. If you are seriously considering buying this, just make sure ahead of time that you really want it and are certain the it will work for you.

    Hate to say it but these instructions, are not very clear, even with the video. you add the bracket marks, which at no point was mentioned in step 2

      The person that edited this video doesn't know how to do the installation. At 3:01 the narrator says to line up the hole with the mark, but that should correspond with the animation shown at 3:16. That is the hole you are lining up with the mark. The next issue is that bracket location is already marked at 3:01 in the video, but the narrator doesn't tell you to make those marks until 3:20, "..mark the brackets position on the cabinet."

    • @NullRefernce1
      @NullRefernce1 2 роки тому +2

      3:15: "Move the bracket until it is centered on the sliding pivot arm". This is a step I missed during installation because it is so unclear. At this point, the pivot hole in the arm is lined up with your one mark on the hot tub (the bracket is not yet marked so ignore those marks in the video). Now at 3:15 the video tells you to "move the bracket until it is centered on the sliding pivot arm". So you are keeping the pivot hole lined up with your mark and you are sliding the bracket on the pivot arm so it is centered on that arm. The reason for this is that the bracket will be screwed to the cabinet so you don't want to move it once it is in. If, however, you needed to adjust the pivot arm later, you will have room to move it left or right inside the bracket and just make new screw holes in that sliding pivot arm. It's only now at 3:20 that the narrator tells you to "mark the brackets position on the cabinet" (even though the video had it marked at 3:01).

      @@NullRefernce1 Yes, thanks for these notes about this section of the video and instrctions. Your comments saved me some potential errors since I saw them as I got to those steps and that part in the video (3:01-3:20). The instructions could use some updating, correction, and better photos. Also, thanks to @GreenishLogic here in the comments for also pointing out the instructions error about "By 5/16, we mean 1/2”.😅"!

    These instructions are pitiful. My favorite part is when a little box pops up to say, “don’t forget to do something that we didn’t tell you to do yet even though it is probably too late.”
