Sabrina.. you did start explaining yourself and your decision.. bugger what people think.. I love your channel.. great to see youngsters working hard for their end gains,, well done you two xx😉❤
That hot tub looks awesome!! You both work hard and should never have to justify how you spend your own money. If the jealous little trolls don't like it, they need to jog on. Well done to both of you and your sweet little furry helper🤗🐕
You are too sweet! I think if I was in your shoes I’d feel the need to explain too but at the end of the day- you don’t owe anyone an explanation. You guys work crazy hard and that hot tub is well deserved!
Its nice to see someone- without being too moralistic about it - recognize it weirdly powerful position to expose your life highlights to others and that it could unwittingly participate in setting a standard unintentionally. Thats not your fault nor responsibility yet I think you manage it well. Congratulations on another milestone and continued achievements on and offline
Good on you, you both deserve it. You both work so hard on your home, after a day of being full on it would be awesome for you both to chill and relax in..
You work hard for your money so do what you like. I think it looks fantastic. The best thing that you did was the big pool. And don't forget the nice verandah. Greetings from England 🇬🇧 xxx ❤
Congratulations! You sound like us ... we don't vacation either so I am with you, make your home as cozy as can be. You are living my dream - a pool and hot tub. Nothing better. Enjoy! You most certainly deserve it.
With a home like this who needs to vacation elsewhere? 😊 Love the hot tub. All that’s left to desire is the outdoor kitchen and then you may never move. 😅
you should try silk balance for your hot tub. I use to fight to keep the chemicals balanced in my hot tub. I tried this silk balance and it is totally awesome. I have turn several others on to it that have hot tubs. You just put a certain amount in weekly and everything is balanced. no need for chlorine or bromine . Makes your skin feel silky as well. doesn't dry you out like chlorine.
I found it rather amusing that the tub delivery guys were carrying the tub trailer ON a trailer. Here in the UK, we just tow the tub trailer behind our vans. Bit bouncy but it does the job. Just have to make sure the tubs are strapped down well. Intresting thing to note is that it appears that they use the same hot tub trailer over there as we do here in the UK. I work for a swimming pool / hot tub maintenance company. One bit of advice I'll give for your hot tub, try not to block the panels in on any side. Or if you do, then unblock them before an engineer arrives to look at the tub. *When* something goes wrong, Ie a pump fails or a leak appears, you will need to access different areas of the tub. Having the panels blocked means you will have a larger labor bill as it will take longer for the engineer to diagnose the fault.
Great question! I (Andrew) wanted a Caldera because after researching it seemed like a great quality brand. It has 2 pumps instead of 1 and came with a 5 year warranty. I didn’t want a lounger style and this one happened to be available to purchase as a floor model so it was a great price (plus it included the stairs and cover).
The vast majority of tubs out there will accomplish the same goal. Heat water, pump it around and keep it clean. If they all seem the same, you must not be too fussy, in which case I'd recommend a cheaper tub. The *main thing you need to look for* in a hot tub is the design and features that you prefer. Ie, colour / pattern of the shell, lighting kits, sound systems, etc. I would always recommend buying brand new rather than second hand, as you can never know what has gone wrong with an older tub that has lead to someone selling it. A display model from the showroom floor is a 50/50 shot. If a display model has been sitting empty without the pumps running, that's generally going to be an absolute steal. Whereas display models that are full of water are likely going to have had their pumps and equipment running for a significant amount of time, which will reduce the life expectancy. However, there are obviously going to be outliers in both situations. Tubs that are empty may have been full and running for months before you see them, and may have only recently been emptied. Whereas tubs that are full and running may have been sitting dry for months without pumps running, and only recently been filled and ran. You can't tell for sure. The *secondary consideration* should be the power consumption. Bigger tubs will generally have a larger heater, as they have a larger volume of water to be heated. Lots of tubs will also have multiple pumps, Ie a circulation pump plus 1 to 3 massage pumps, which could also factor in to your energy bill at the end of each month. I would personally go for the smallest practical size of hot tub that I could get. More on that further down in the comment. Your *next considerations* should be if you actually have space for said tub, how you'd get it into your property, and how you'd power it. I work for a swimming pool / hot tub maintenance company in the UK. *The best overall advice I can give you here* is to look around online at different hot tub manufacturer websites. Figure out the features you desire, what design you want, etc. Then find a dealer who is selling that model of tub, or order it custom from the company. Our company sells a lot of hot tubs from Earth Spas, so I am biased towards them. We find that they provide a high quality product which is easy to work on when problems arise. For example, pumps fail over time as they are moving parts that do wear out. With Earth spa tubs in particular, we can access the pumps fairly easy to repair / replace them. Earth spas hot tubs also tend to come "Heat Pump Ready", Ie you can buy a heat pump to heat the tub instead of using the on-board electric heater that's plumbed into the tub. It is a more expensive upfront cost, but over the course of 2 or 3 years, it'll pay itself back by saving you money on your electricity bill. The on board electric heaters are like a kettle element, or an immersion heater. A heat pump is far cheaper to run, and far more energy efficient. However it is slower to heat the water. If I was going to buy a hot tub brand new, (I wish I had the money for one,) my order would be as follows. Earth spas Kouri (3 person tub, 2 loungers and 1 main seat plus a "child seat / cooldown seat", which we would use it as a step to get in and out of the tub) Optional Extras of: Wifi Module Heat pump / Heat pump cabinet Exterior lighting kit. This tub can run off of a standard British 13 amp socket, but requires RCD protection for obvious reasons. I'm not 100% sure of the requirements in America, so you would obviously need to check what you'd need. Please bare in mind that I am biased towards Earth Spas, as we sell them at our store. I have worked on a lot of them, so I have plenty of experience with how to maintain them, repair them, and keep them in top condition. Do your own research and decide what brand suits you best. I have worked on plenty of differing brands in my short time in this industry, and I would only consider a few brands to be "worse" than the competitors. However, these are generally tubs that are 20 plus years old and may not reflect the current quality of the manufacturers today. As such, I shall not be providing any names of these manufacturers. I hope this will be of some help to you. If you have any other questions, reply to this comment and I'll try to get back to you within the next day or two. I can't promise that I can help any further, but I'll do my best.
I absolutely LOVE your videos. I wish my husband was into doing more outdoor projects with me. For now, it's just me taking on landscaping and simple outdoor revamping. FYI, I'm sorry if I'm overstepping by trying to educate viewers on your video, but it never hurts for ppl to know something they might not know. For those who are parents, it can be incredibly dangerous for kids under 5 to be in hot tubs. Their tiny bodies overheat quickly unlike adults. My brother and his wife are an RN & CRNA and have a hot tub and that's who warned me about it. When my boys were toddlers, they refused to let them go in their hot tub until they were older. 🧡
You don’t owe anyone an explanation. Especially regarding how you spend ur money. Ignore anyone who is rude enough to comment about it. Enjoy your new hot tub.
You're never gonna want to leave your house!
With their set up I wouldn’t leave either.

Happy to see you fulfilling another dream. No explanations needed. ENJOY 🎉
How did you shop around for this exact hot tub? Curious because I’m also looking for one but they all seem the same/ I don’t know what to look for…
