The two paths by the fence look like it was a two oath driveway or area to park a car.

Keep going, well done (from the UK). Sometimes there are two lines of path/bricks because each is for the wheel of a car with grass between but that would normally lead to a garage. Here in the UK people have found roman pathways and mosaics going back 2000 years at times and even an Elizabethan stone floor under more modern bricks (a path under a path as it were). Also gardeners often want paving between areas they plant with flowers and vegetables so the pathways may look a bit strange but they mean you can stand on brick in winter when dealing with your garden on either side ( even if no raised beds).

the parallel paths are part of a ribbon driveway, car tires are meant to align with the bricks

Could it be part of an old brick street house could have been built over?

It's called a path and you'll get it done a lot quicker if you work faster.

Look, some fake news is fun and all, but I’ll get it done /quicker/ if I work faster? I haven’t heard a load of BS like that in a long time.
      Step one: work slower
Step two: get it done quicker
      Step three: profit
