"Holy War" (2020) is still a good introduction to LOVEBITES, as it gives a glimps of what these ladies are able to do. But the rabbit hole is much bigger, there are tons of even better songs by LOVEBITES. Each and every song has its own magic and there are essentially no weak songs, not even mediocre songs by them. Pick one and be happy. I've seen some good suggestions in this comment section. It's not only Power Metal, it's a combination of Power, Speed, Thrash, Classical Heavy Metal, NWOBHM, Symphonic, Prog, whatever, condensed from all the master's influence, as they are not only high skilled musicians but also fans of 80s and 90s Heavy Metal, but not only that. Dark haired guitarist Miyako has spent double the time of her live on piano with Classical music than on guitar music. She's a full blown concert musician. Singer Asami is a trained ballerina. The other guitarist Midori has won medals in body fitness competitions just this decade. There's a lot more, but musically you just need to know, they are an AllStar team, a Supergroup. Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They also played their first US shows this year in September. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs. Il boom delle band giapponesi è iniziato con l'arrivo dei Beatles in Giappone quasi mezzo secolo fa. La tendenza è continuata ininterrottamente e oggi ci sono più di 100 band femminili. Sono in continua evoluzione, si dividono e si fondono. E uno dei gruppi metal più importanti oggi è quello delle LOVEBITES. Con così tante band in Giappone e il loro livello di performance generalmente elevato, avevano bisogno di qualcosa di speciale per farsi un nome che nessun'altra band avrebbe potuto eguagliare. Pertanto, i LIVEBITES hanno scelto un “costume di scena femminile a base bianca”. Questo costume comportava il rischio di non essere accettati da chi li circondava e di rimanere isolati come lupi solitari, ma loro osarono correre il rischio e fecero del lupo il simbolo della loro band.

Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the bassist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string) The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE. Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcribed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bacchus Bass. Recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. "Holy War" (2020) is still a good introduction to LOVEBITES, as it gives a glimps of what these ladies are able to do.
But the rabbit hole is much bigger, there are tons of even better songs by LOVEBITES. Each and every song has its
own magic and there are essentially no weak songs, not even mediocre songs by them. Pick one and be happy.

Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray.
In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest.
They also played their first US shows this year in September.
In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs.

Il boom delle band giapponesi è iniziato con l'arrivo dei Beatles in Giappone quasi mezzo secolo fa.
La tendenza è continuata ininterrottamente e oggi ci sono più di 100 band femminili.
Sono in continua evoluzione, si dividono e si fondono. E uno dei gruppi metal più importanti oggi è quello delle LOVEBITES.
Con così tante band in Giappone e il loro livello di performance generalmente elevato, avevano bisogno di qualcosa di speciale per farsi un nome che nessun'altra band avrebbe potuto eguagliare.
Pertanto, i LIVEBITES hanno scelto un “costume di scena femminile a base bianca”. Questo costume comportava il rischio di non essere accettati da chi li circondava e di rimanere isolati come lupi solitari, ma loro osarono correre il rischio e fecero del lupo il simbolo della loro band.
A proposito, credo che tu sia italiano come me. Sono quindi particolarmente felice che tu abbia apprezzato le meravigliose Lovebites!
la migliore band di tutti i continenti ! 😀le ho scoperte 3 anni fa e le ascolto ogni giorno anche per ore , hanno un catalogo di più di 60 canzoni e se le scrivono , cantano e suonano tutte da sole , 5 ragazze di una abilità da non credere , le ho viste a giugno a Milano e spero di rivederle ancora , stanno arrivando gli amici del "wolfpack" il fanbase ti consiglieranno cosa ascoltare una vale l'altra sono tutte fantastiche !

Fami joined the band in 2022, after the former bassist MIHO (great bass player she also) left the band for personal reasons.

I travelled to Milan this summer to see them live, venue was full and the Italian audience, as far as I have seen from the fancams of the other shows in Europe, was the loudest and most passionate. Very fun times.

Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world, will be along to give you information and recommendations.
Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects.
Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the bassist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string)
The present members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker.
Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE.
Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcribed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman.
Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos.
Fami, Bacchus Bass. Recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens.
Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed.
All members of the band can play piano/keyboards.
They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023.

The ladies really shine on stage. I saw Lovebites live in London twice during their recent European tour. I have been a fan of Rock and Metal music right from the beginning seeing bands bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Iron Maiden when they were 'new', Lovebites are amongst the best I have ever seen in nearly 60 years of going to music gigs 🤘🐺

Asami - the singer - was an R&B singer before joining Lovebites. (Yes, she also studied classical ballet. :)
In my opinion LOVEBITES are the spiritual daughters of IRON MAIDEN. a lots of their songs had a gallop bass line, like IRON MAIDEN. a lots of people said ASAMI the singer is FEMALE BRUCE DICKINSON.
