Dasin Model Tom and Jerry Action Figure Review

- I didn't know I wanted action figures of Tom and Jerry until Dasin Model showed their S.H. Figuarts-like versions. And while they look fantastic, they don't hold up to heavy posing with loose joints and parts. So on the shelf they go. They are available at www.chinamodelt... if you're interested.

Daisin Models copies several figures of Saint Seiya, they have good quality.

Just got mine today! All my joints are real tight and the paint is actuall really good!! I’m very happy with these!
Yes, I had to use heat to put the bat in Toms hand, but the bat won’t fall out at least.

I've heard people comment that theirs is nice and tight. Mine was a little tighter out of the package before play but the ankles and neck were loose right out of the box. Maybe some floor polish is in order. Totally worth it otherwise.

Y'know for Tom and Jerry figures, these actually look really good, and dasin model has been making a name for themselves, especially with their one punch man figures

I just want to thank the Fwoosh to make me aware of these figures. I have nostalgic memories of watching Tom and Jerry cartoons with my Dad when looking at these figures. I know these are not the best quality action figures I'm ever going to buy, but the simile on my face is worth the money. Fingers crossed for Dastardly and Muttley!

Herculoids! Now there is a Hannah Barbara Cartoon I haven't heard of in a long time! I never did order these even know the price was good, figured get enjoyment off of your review. I was correct. In the Transformers community after Hasbro started using shittier plastic we started using clear floor polish to tighten up the joints up. I'm guessing that will work here on these guys! Has to be clear tho. Great review boss

Yeah, and super expensive now, I've thought about tracking some down but I'm not paying those prices. I should have gotten them when they first came out but I had my head up Star Wars and Marvel too far at the time.

I got my figures on friday, i however gave them to my girlfriend (trying to earn brownie points for spending so much on my own figures) i noticed the joints in Tom's ankles were also lose and would probably require the use of the stand, also our Tom head was very tight i just forced on the smiling one and kept it that way :) this was one of those moments when i took a leap of faith and followed Robo and I’m glad it payed off, I’m glad we never got scammed lol
Yeah, it was a little nerve racking for a moment but it all worked out, haha!
I think to replicate Tom lying down drinking from the cup you might just have to pose the body which the head in the hands haha the layout of that picture suggests that

They look really good for what they are. The best thing about them must be the turnaround time - what was it, like a month between pre-order and delivery, wheras most companies is like 6 months+ :(
Exactly, but I think that lends even more to sneaky sneaky production and distribution. Already in production, almost done, okay, get the preorders up and the toys out the door before the police show up, haha.
They may not be perfect. But they're the best Tom-and-jerry figures I've ever seen.

No need to feel "dirty" about them being unlicensed. Tom & Jerry is coming up on 100 years old, and should've been public domain years ago.

They are just "mule" figs, pop the head off Tom and you'll find a vial of Chinese crack (which is basically lead paint from 80s toys mixed with turpentine and anti-freeze)

Ryan Tran you’ll most likely be waiting for ever then! Companies have already made Tom and Jerry figures and they never sold well. None of those major companies are going to make Tom and Jerry figures. Not enough demand. A lot of people don’t even know who they are!!

Ryan Tran I mean the company of hell Jazwares made a set of Hanna Barbera figures that were pretty well articulated, if not too articulated.
Legend_oflouis - they made some nice looking figures. Very hard to find these days. I think they did fred flintstone, huckleberry hound, and yogi bear...there are a few more as well.
william thomas Yeah they did Nicktoons too, really regret not picking them up, they were on fire during like 2010-2012 when I use to hit up TRU when I was in the states. They were cheaply made but still nice!

I DESPERATELY want to get my hands on this set... But, I'm worried I may end up missing out. As, thanks to a glitchy ATM machine this month, I had $200 get 'misplaced'. No telling when the 'investigation' will put those funds back. So, it's gonna be nearly three weeks before I could snag these guys. Damn.

GUS!!!!! And you can take the ball joint out and put a layer of super glue on the ball joint and let it dry. Then they should be tighter when you put em back together. But you probably already knew that. And Gus should make an appearance in every video.
Yeah, that's what I figure I'll do to tighten up a lot of the joints, shouldn't be too hard to do. And don't wanna push Gus too hard, one of those things that can get old fast. I think.
Now we need a mammy two-shoes.

Ok, I watched, I didn't want to till mine arrived, but who knows when they will. I got mine off eBay, btw. Dasin makes the kind of figure that's both KO and 3rd Party, but yeah unlicensed. I'm OK with that. I've got plenty of Transformers like so. Our money to spend! Little disappointed with the loose joints, but considering QC checks was probably nil, they look good overall!

I would love to see PROPER 5-6 inch scale Ben 10 figures cuz I hate the 6 inch scale action feature figures and I hate the 4 inch scale figures(even though the figures had pretty decent articulation but I hate 3-4 inch scale)

Only loose joints on mine are the feet and pledge floor cleaner straightened that right up. I love em to death, the fun factor is through the roof! Seems like you may have received a shotty set cuz mine are great!

In Size (extrapolating from that comparisson with that Black Panther figure) are they more less the same size of the Disney Afternoon figures? They seem to be.
BTW, that accesory of Tom's hand with Jerry in it, given the size , doesn't it seem that it was meant to be Tuffy? Even the ears are smaller and his face looks different than Jerry
Hmmm, you may be right, I forgot about Tuffy. And these are probably a little bigger than the Disney Afternoon figures. I should get a Scrooge just to scratch that itch and have it around for comparisons.

(I.e., I'm looking for Wal-Mart Legends Thanos, is it still a "live" replenishable item or is it 3rd party/aftermarket only now?) Do you know where to look to see if these hard to find items will be restocked?
