  • I spent years trying to find the best way to store my stencils, and this combination is the best way I have found. I have been storing my stencils this way for around 10 years, and I still love it. Thank you for stopping by, I hope you all have an Outstanding Day :) amy

Oh Amy, you are such a sweetheart! I don’t think anyone has ever made a video for me! ❤ Your system makes so much sense and I can see how practical it must be. I already filmed a VLOG for Friday, where I came up with another solution….but I will add your video as a pinned comment for other viewers who are still looking for a better solution. Thank you so much! Hugs, Barbara 🥰

Yes, Amy’s box is wonderful, however if you are sure about not wanting a box I found that hanging them in a pegboard hook using manufacturer sticky plastic flat hooks works like a dream to keep them untangled and super easy to flip through

Great solution! Love that one comment called it a "frankensteined" box. I'd cover that bad boy with more tape and then cover it with wallpaper or textured shelf liner.

Amy, I love this! You have some of the best ideas. I can't really figure out how you put the box together so that it's shorter in the front and taller in the back. If by any chance you decide you need a second box, or if you already have a video showing how you made this one, I'd love to see it!
edited to add - I watched a couple more times, maybe I figured it out - all the folders reach to the bottom of the box, but you've cut the sides down so the whole box is shorter in the front. (for some reason, I was thinking the bottom was slanted)

I love this idea; I hope Barbara sees this because she could also put the packaging inside the folder and have all the information she needs as she uses them. Thanks for sharing. I think the only thing I would change for my regular size stencils is putting the ABC tab in there so once I knew the names of them all I could just go to that tab then it wouldn't matter if the tabs were not in order.

I love this idea! You come up with the best solutions. I love that you frankensteined the box to fit your needs, as well as the file folders. Thank you so much for the inspiration 😊

Hello Amy , thank you again for sharing all your ideas. And whow , your level of skill in cutting out the images of your own work … they look perfect. If you find the time to make an other video about that or direct us to an older video plz.
    Thank you

Great idea, especially to put the design on the outside so you can see exactly what you’re pulling out. I’ve thought about adding a master sheet with the stencils and masks on them, names close by, so I don’t forget what I actually have… that’s more my problem, I forget to use what I forget I have!

I agree that this box and folder system seems easier to use than the 3 ring binder that I currently use. Thanks.

Great idea! I have all mine in plastic pockets in a lever arch file folder. I file them in alphabetical order. But I'm getting to the stage where I am going to need a 2nd folder soon. 😬

I love that this works for you. It's well organized and a sound idea. I don't have counter space, so I'm wondering how I could use it in another way. I think a color file folder idea would work for me though, such as, green for nature, red for geometrics, etc. Thank you for sharing!

I love this solution. Right now I don’t have a place for a box so they will have to stay where they are but if my collection grows I will remember this!! So sweet of you to share with all of us!❤

I am new to ownership of a Brother Scan N Cut. So far, I’ve learned to lessen the pressure to a -.5 so I don’t continue to cut my mat. Have you made a video about how you use yours to cut your stencils? If so, please, if you have the time, let me know so I can find it and learn how you set yours up for cutting the plastics you showed here. Thanks

Hi Amy, you always have such good ideas. I made a similar box for my clear stamps too. I would be interested in seeing a video of how you made your personalized stencils with your scan n cut.
