For years I had prejudices about this game, but now that it came to Xbox i finally gave it a try and I'm absolutely in shock! This game is turning out to be one of my favorite games of all time, no joking. Kojima really hits different.

Death Stranding is the only game that mixes tension, relaxation, and freedom so cohesively that describing what it does to my monkey brain is hard but it feels right.
This games amazing, let it take you in, roll with it and enjoy the journey. There really is nothing like it, it actually leaves an impact when you finish, that stays with you, very few games can do that.

Playing this during the trashman strike of NYC was a unrepeatable experience... At least until the next strike but hopefully automation and robots will fix that.

I’ve been a huge Bethesda RPG fan and just started my death stranding journey on steam deck. Something about this game brings an element of solitude and tells you to slow down in the rush of life. Love it and love your videos man!
Absolutely my game of the generation. Such an amazing game, and I have never felt so emotional playing a game than I did during that last delivery. The music and the way you can keep pressing the button to talk to BB. Right in the feels. This game is something truly special
I felt like this game was one of those that just got overlooked by many because of other games that came out around the time and what was initially shown. It quietly became one of my favorites. Would highly recommend giving this one a playthrough. Or two.
@@Tartersauce101 honestly the hardest part of the game (for me) is the balance and its way easier on a controller as you just basically hold down both triggers when you are moving. The controls in this game are ( again to me) the biggest problem with the game. Kojima games are notorious for this but this one is on another level My advice would be to start the game and not stop for at least 2-3 hours. Its a lot like Witcher 3. You have to get really going to start to get it. And the map mechanics and waypoints...they are infuriating.
@@LordMuzhyYou have to be careful about managing your durability and packages. The game is all about plotting out strategic routes through the map and terrain. Once you figure out the construction systems, managing a bike, and more the more fun you'll be having. It's a slow burn type of game and if you're not careful you can lose everything. Especially if you get caught by BTs or Mules
Death Stranding is a game I loved, but completely understand anyone who doesn’t. One thing I will say is when you get deeper into the game, and acquire more gear, you can make it much more combat based than you would initially think.
I'm so glad you finally gave this game a shot i was confused by the symbolism, mystery & scientific paranoia within the world of UCA in death stranding plagued by this apocalypse but then it fascinated me when i got all my answers turning into one of my favorite video games of all time

This is one of my favorite games, and I have never played a MGS game before but I plan to. While I love action-oriented games, this was different and the story, like you, intrigued me and pulled me in. I was fully invested in this game and I loved every minute of it. Enjoy! It gets weirder!
I’m old, and MGS was one of the first games to really immerse me and honestly fueled my love for video games. I highly recommend it to anybody who even thinks about playing games lol
For $30 I said screw it I'll buy it and give it a go. Honestly surprised that I'm liking it as much as I have been, especially with it being a walking sim with some combat here and there. The multiplayer component is really cool though, coming across other players lost packages/gear and delivering them back to them at a delivery center is honestly sweet. Also all the bridges, ladders, ropes and signs that others have placed that help you out is an awesome addition.
Great video amazing game. Enjoy Matty. I'm sure others have mentioned this but when you plan your route you can set up multiple waypoints like connect the dots guiding you.
I tried Death Stranding and stopped playing after like an hour lol. Came back like a year later and was upset with myself for not playing through the first time. I absolutely LOVE death stranding.
I've loved this game since day one. I'm really glad that the opinions surrounding it have become a lot more positive over the years. It's definitely not for everyone but it just has a way of sinking it's hooks into me that I can't explain. There's just nothing else like it. I got the platinum trophy on PS4, PS5 and now I'm working on all the achievements on Xbox lol.

I must have played right at the very launch of this on PS5 - several of the roads and structures I built/added were beside/connected to Yongyea's things; they all seem to be still there, rusting away. Very interesting game; and very pretty - I might buy the DC for my XBox, which isnt exactly overburdened by stellar games, so this PS5 port could be cool for a fresh run.
I loved my play through of this game, I'd never played anything like it and I got lost and immersed in this world. I'm super glad I played it, but I'm pretty sure I'll never play it ever again. Without the mystery, the unknown, the inherent boring-ness of the game will be all I'm left with. I don't even think I care about the sequel. I loved my time, but by the time it was over i was truly done.

Matty I just bought it on Xbox and am blown away. Went in ready to be along for a very weird ride and I have been loving the worldbuilding, steady gadget progression, and the story. It's all so creative and gratifying. Built a road on my own and got thousands of player likes in the hour it took me to go out and buy groceries lol

Played upto a point o the PS4 then PS5 and each time I went back after a break I missed a lot of what the game was about. This time as I’m playing the world has developed a lot more due to me continually playing it and it feels great as it’s at the beginning of it’s like on Xbox so there’s more being built around your world. Plain going for as many stars from delivery jobs from ranking them up to level 5. Love the chill of just delivering

It's a great game, one of my favourites and im glad xbox players finally get to enjoy it. Only thing your missing out on is the haptic feedback that came with the ps5 release, its super immersive with this game.
I never would've tried, let alone by this game before this releasing on xbox. I bought it for Xbox so I can use cross save on my PC. It's my first Kojima game and trwo hours in and I'm excited!
The main "player-filter" isn't even passed yet..! Once you're passed the 'Distribution Point west of Central Knot City'.. or the 4 hour mark, that is when the game starts opening up..!
I played DS on PC and it was great. Someone mentioned that around chapter 8 or 9 the main quest were like side quest so I i avoided grinding and it opened up not too long after that.
As I mentioned in another comment, there is point at the 4-hour mark that filters players. 1) The game doesn't start to open itself up or show it's true gameplay loop before after that point, and: 2) you've just finished a seriously long cutscene with slow exposition.

@judith678 fair - I mean, there are some really. bad. choices they could make, but the one positive note would be that if they get Cena we can at least feel confident that they're going to really invest in it. I lost hype-hope after the Halo series which had maybe 30 total minutes of interesting stuff.
I predict that 10 years from now, VR will be at the forefront of gaming, and we'll be able to revisit all the 3D games of the past in VR, no matter how old, with a realistic AI filter even. This will be one of the games we'll learn to appreciate more then.

It's a great game, but definitely not for everyone.
The game was very confusing but all in all your trying to save the world.

Not my first choice, but I don't hate the idea of a John Cena Shepard. He won me over with Peacemaker.

@judith678 fair - I mean, there are some really. bad. choices they could make, but the one positive note would be that if they get Cena we can at least feel confident that they're going to really invest in it. I lost hype-hope after the Halo series which had maybe 30 total minutes of interesting stuff.
Scorn is far from a AAA game, its a tiny little indie made by a brands new studio with 10 employees.
I predict that 10 years from now, VR will be at the forefront of gaming, and we'll be able to revisit all the 3D games of the past in VR, no matter how old, with a realistic AI filter even. This will be one of the games we'll learn to appreciate more then.
