If Oliveira hasn't worked on his defensive abilities, which are bad at this point, Dariush might end up doing close to the same thing Islam did, and won't hesitate by going for a submission if he drops him since Oliveira always is reckless in his approach...

I was thinking the same but i think Charles got overconfident with Islam considering that he pulled him on ground in first round and soon realized he couldnt work his BJJ on him. He made adjustment in every fight since Chandler so he could have a plan on how he should face Dariush
Yep. Gaethje made the mistake of respecting his ground game too much. He could have smashed Charles after he dropped him with the uppercut. Charles gets dropped just about every fight. Dudes near sighted or some shit.

Charles fan boy here 🙋♂️. I think Beneil is the biggest threat to Islam stylistically and I think everyone knows it. He’s the dark horse of the division and if he beats Charles. Him and Islam in Dubai would be epic. That said I hope my boy Charles comes back with a vengeance.

Yeah, but the thing is I don’t even necessarily think Benny losing to charles means he’d also lose to islam, even if I think charles still loses to islam. It’s just one of those style things and even though defensively both charles and Benny seem to lack defense in favor of offense, when it comes to grappling, I think Benny is just more well suited for Islam. Charles is offense only and he goes right to attack mode but with a high lvl grappler like islam without hurting him catching him something like a triangle or choke is gonna be almost non existent but with Benny, Benny is a high lvl super well rounded grappler who if taken down like with gamrot will immediatley scramble or roll over to heel hooks to try and advance his position or stand back up and that’s where I think he has the advantage. Volk proved like for as good as islam is, and as defensively sound as he is that if you can just touch his chin with something clean and fast it will hurt him and Benny imo has the best odds of anyone in the Div outside of volk of either scrambling back to his feet or keeping the fight standing to give him a shot. Charles imo is just too offensive minded and will pull guard and sort of get stuck if he fails and even on the feet where sure the guy can crack and is clean and technical asf, he will do wild things like throw flying crane kicks or flying knees and islam is just too sound to catch with wild exchanges like that imo. I want Charles to win because I don’t wanna see him lose, but I think Benny will win and I also think Benny has already earned his shot and would hate to see him lose here without getting the chance to fight and I think either beat or give Islam just as hard a fight as volk did

I like Bennys chances way better against Islam. Also his fight IQ is underrated. If you follow the sport and watch his prediction videos or breakdowns, he's one of the best to do it. Can't wait till Saturday, I love 155.

It's ridiculous the UFC have been ignoring and denying Benny just because he's humble and well spoken. Dana or Mick might give him a title shot if he starts talking about killing childrens fathers, slapping women, doing drugs and dye his hair like a drag-queen.

Its the "yes ill fight" curse. Benny always gets matched up with the young up coming guys because everytime they ask him to fight he always accepts. No matter who it is. Fighters like that have harder routes to titles then guys that will refuse a fight (i.e dustin poirier) because theyre not "ranked high enough" or dont deserve it because they dont have the "name value"
