Awesome Saurian! Fly the wing that fits your wind conditions. Here is a quick video on high wind flying techniques: ua-cam.com/video/gxmkPZKhb7o/v-deo.html
Could we imagine a modular kite, like you could remove patches of fabric depending on wind conditions, maybe with some light scratch under patches to reduce weight, or would that be impeding too much on the flying performances (due to irregularities disturbances)?
Yes Nik, this is a common 'thought experiment'. The general goal is a single kite for all wind conditions. My main concern is all the extra velcro, seaming material and added aerodynamic drag make the design a poor performer in light wind conditions which defeats the purpose of the design.
Hi Jerry Fox! I'm flying on 30 foot lines in this video. When shooting a video, I often fly on short lines so it is easier to see my Rev and me at the same time. The standard length lines are 80-85 feet. Here is a video exploring line lengths: ua-cam.com/video/EUyBKHpprF0/v-deo.html
I own the XX and because I live at the beach, I like to get the Super Tarantula. The XX full sail is perfect during 10-15knots of winds. Unfortunately, winds are often much stronger at the beach. I tend to kite in (very) high winds as the beach is not so crowded during these conditions :-) Say 15kts+ up to maybe 30-35ish kts (35mph). For the XX full sail I use ~90ft 90lbs lines, but what strength do I need for the XX Super Tarentula?
I finally ordered myself a Super Tarantula. I can't wait to fly it!

@@jhadzicki Thank you very much!

What length lines are you using?
