It is criminal that Mazda doesn't sell this in North America. My first Mazda was a '99 B-3000. I love that little truck and haven't even thought of buying anything but a Mazda ever since.
my mom absolutely adores this car, we used to have a hilux pick up but it kept crashing and getting my mom into accidents. my mother is a tiny lady (5'2) so I'm surprised that she loves huge cars like these. she hopes to get it soon.
I hope in 2023, Mazda PH would offer the BT50 with a new higher-mid tier variant where it has the exterior, interior, and features of the top-end variant except for the 4x4 and all the off-road related features. To simply put, I hope they have a top-tier 4x2 variant.
True but I don't think Mazda is interested in making a PPV based SUV since they mentioned they're more geared towards Crossover SUV's, such as the CX-8, which is similarly priced to those models you mentioned but offers better refinement.

@@marccatamioI don't know I'm not sure. Because I saw videos on UA-cam, where the testers are using the diff lock on the D-Max. It was in Australia honestly, it would be weird the BT-50 has diff lock and not the D-Max. Specially when the chassis, engine, and almost everything belongs to Isuzu.
The grill reminds me a lil bit of maxus, but, i really love the improvements on this one. I never really liked the past models of the bt50's but this one is an exemption. Good job idol Caco and the whole crew. 👍
Ide cage it with a bush gaurd and a custom fog light head light gaurd. It would end up covering the bumper. Im so disappioted we dont get these in north america. It would look amazing with 37" tires and armour for offroading.
The last last mazda truck we had in the usa is the 2006 mazda b series that was based off the ford ranger That new mazda bt-50 looks awesome just wish we got it in the usa
Mazda is another great option. Affordable loaded with features. The only lacking are 360 around view and coil spring for riding comfort provided by Nissan and Ford Raptor. Overall this is a good choice though.

Like this better than the latest Ranger with huge headlights, being an offroader, it will be at risk to scratches and just imagine overtime how it will look, not to mention the price of replacing the assembly.
@@AlphaVirgo8ord always have reliability problems, it's not as reliable as Japaneses brands, such as Mazda or Isuzu. Also all Mazda cars are fitted with free 5 years services plans. Literally free maintenances for 5 years.

Take a look at the rear tail lights of bt50 4x4. They are not the same, i just found out hours later after i purchased my bt50. Left tail light 3rd bulb is red while the bulb on the right side is white. As per my service adviser, the red bulb on the left is connected to the fog light switch which is intended for foggy terrain, for more visibility e.g. during offroading. While the white bulb on the right is connected to the reverse switch.
Nice looking truck, just wondering about the reliability of it being a Mazda, would seriously look at the BT50 and compare it with the Navara. Great review as always Caco.

Such a large engine brought into it e.g. 3.0L DIESEL engine ❤❤❤ 😮 However its Horsepower for me its little,300 horsepower may have been better for the workhorse plus a powered tailgate for cargo use😊!!!
A car with no 360 camera in the year 2022 honestly a let down, they couldve provided it with a front camera, but hey at the very least it still has those front parking sensors although a camera wouldve been way better
@@benjierosales450 ever heard of the navara even the VL calibre 4x2 which is priced at 1.6m php (that's with the tax included btw) has most of the features that u could find in the top of the line dmax and bt 50 (except for the Adaptive cruise control) plus a 360 camera

I need a 4x4 powertrain to traverse the mountainous paths of Ilocos and Ifugao. I have saved enough to buy any brand. I was considering the BT-50, Navara and FX4, Then Ford recently released the new Ranger Wildtrack. I would wait to test it out first then decide which one to buy.
is it just me or is the new BT50's interior also looks alot like the Dmax's interior.. at first I thought only the exterior is a look alike.. and those rims look a lot like the rims of the old Dmax
