amazing footwork. what visual ques do you use to time the split step? i’m trying to work on this aspect of my game. also any tips on the split step in general?
I'm no expert, but one small observation on the backhands... Look how far Opponent takes back his racket, compared to Dion Jaffee's much shorter takeback. As a result, Opponent gets a lot more power on the backhand.
One low-hanging fruit in your game is keeping 2 hands on the racket grip when the 9.5 UTR attacks your backhand. He's really quick at recognizing when you have to go to a chip and feasts on that. With how well you move I think it's doable to add an open stance 2hbh on the stretch to either get the ball up in his strike zone or dip it crosscourt if he comes in.
i think its great that DJ plays the way he does, its players like that who makes you re-evaluate your game!

Finally, a video that someone can actually play tennis, at least one of them.
I didn't know it was that easy to get to a 9.5

8.5 utr is insane
The guy in the grey shirt, black hat, and black shorts is obviously the better player.
