Russia's vast landscape is a powerhouse in global agriculture. Among its prized agricultural outputs, wheat stands tall as a cornerstone of this agrarian giant's might. Spanning an astonishing 500,000 acres, the wheat farms of Russia are more than just stretches of land; they are the tangible evidence of the country's agricultural prowess and strategic importance in the world's food supply.
In Russia, over 24,000 farms dedicate themselves to the cultivation of wheat. Each acre, each farm, forms a cog in the immense wheel of the country's agricultural machinery, driving forward the global narrative of food security. As the world's largest country, Russia's wheat fields are not confined to a single region but spread across vast and varied terrains, from the sun-drenched fields of the south to the more temperate central regions. This geographical diversity is key to the country's ability to produce wheat varieties suited to different climates and market needs.
In terms of sheer production volume, Russia stands as a giant. The nation churns out over 85 million metric tons of wheat annually. This output accounts for a significant portion - nearly 20% - of the world’s total wheat supply. The scale of operation is not just in the quantity produced but also in the number of contributors; Russia's wheat farming landscape is dotted with over 400,000 farms, ranging from vast commercial operations to smaller, family-run entities. But as you will learn, this massive scale of production is not without its challenges.

Awesome
Watching you work in the garden is so peaceful
wow the farm is so large
It's amazing how technology is transforming traditional farming practices to boost productivity! 4:28
Amaizing!!!!
Keep going
At 4:49 you say that Russian wheat farms yield 1.5-2.0 tons per acre, but then at 9:23 you say the yield is 1.0 ton per acre. Two very different numbers. Maybe you’re looking at spring wheat vs winter wheat or an average, but you need to clarify if you don’t want to contradict yourself.
yes, it's all a bit strange, my grandfather was a kulak and in the 1930s he had yields of about 6 tons per hectare 😉
84 milion devide with 500 000 acres and you will have precise yield per acre
Do they use acre in Russia not hecta?
Thank you for sharing
Thanks, Huge garmimg , Best wishes
tuyệt vời
❤pertania yang sungguh indah dan istimewa❤.
EXCELLENT VIDEO.
We are lead to believe lies, and we swallow it hook line and sinker. I'm glad they are thriving for their own selves.
where you are exporting your wheat supply?
It is a process of trying to improve great agricultural machines
No 70 million acres and 84 million ton of wheat
Weaken Russia is bad luck for Afghanistan
