We're so glad we had the opportunity to take yourself and Garry out, Starlo! This day was some of the best fun we've ever had on board the drift boat!
We had a ball, too! You guys do an awesome job.
Always great to see Gary in a video. Looks like a ball!!
It is!
Fantastic!
Many thanks!
How good is Mickeys energy. He'd challenge the energizer bunny with his enthusiasm
So true!
I worked with garry on moulon rounge. Absolute gentleman . Never knew he was a fisherman.
Yes, he's nuts about it!
what a great trip? in great areas, ding what you enjoy with great guide and company. after the fishing return to accommodation shower, clean kit, food and a few drinks. gard to put value onthat.
For sure! And Tumut Brewing make some pretty good beers, too! 👍
Great video Steve, Mick and the gang at Tom’s are great and the Tumut river is breathtaking and a fantastic trout fishery! We are so lucky to have such a great trout fishery in Australia. Trout are fantastic
Thanks 👍 Agree!
Great looking river.
So peaceful.
Good to see Garry still loving his fishing and keeping well.🤩
Sure is!
Miss Daisy. 😂 Way to insult the customer. Must be Australia. 😂
I guess there's a new character for Garry.
Norma Gunston. 😂
Dunny paper on her legs. 😂
How Brilliant to see Garry(no offence Starlo)
🤣 None taken! I agree. 👍
Wow what a boat ! Gary , Starlo and Micky . Would have been an amazing day on the river
It was! And those NRS rafts are AMAZING craft!
Awesome Steve, great to see you and Garry having such an awesome drift on what is truly a beautiful river…..just love Tumut and really enjoy watching Mickey doing his thing.👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Steve. I knew Garry was a fisho and, of course, his Norman Gunston interviews are classics. What an absolute pleasure it must have been to float down the Tumut fly fishing with a good mate.
Absolutely. He's a great bloke and a very good fly fisher.
Good one Starlo. I got a couple of queenies yesterday morning. Made some numus and will cook some for lunch in breadcrumbs 😊🐠
Sounds great!
Awesome session that looks like so much fun, , great video Starlo,
Glad you enjoyed it
Bloody brilliant...
Cheers!
I love the overhead drone shot with the trout circling the boat. Was lucky enough to get out on the Tumut with the Tom’s Outdoors team earlier in the season and it was so much fun. Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it. 👍
I don’t have much interest in fly fishing but that was really enjoyable to watch. Cheers.🍻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Brilliant video Steve thankyou 👍🎣
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow did you see that big fish swim past the boat as you were going over the log how good was that
Sure did. Have a hunch it might have been a carp. There’s quite a few in there, unfortunately.
Haven't been down that way for @ 40yrs ..... you're giving me itchy feet !
Great part of the world!
Thanks Steve I buy with mail order from Tom’s great service
Me too! Great shop.
very pretty area down that way, great video SS
Thanks! It sure is pretty.
Great vid Steve, such a fun day to share with a mate! :)
Cheers mate! 👍
Wow seems like you introduced a more cinema style camera today, production was amazing, and a joy to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it! A lot of the footage came from a second camera boat and was shot by the very talented crew from Tom's Outdoors.
@@StarloGetsReel yeah kind of figured that out during the video, they did a great job.
One of my favourite Aussie performers (still performing I see...lol). You're a lucky bugger Starlo...
He's a ripper bloke, too.
10:28-10:40 in left rear of boat
Yep. Probably a carp, unfortunately. There's quite a few in there...
Great video but why does the guide throw the trout back in? He’s low enough to slide them and give them less shock and therefore more chance of surviving
It does them no harm. A lot of times they jump higher than that - either when hooked, while leaping for flying insects such as damsel flies, or when ascending rapids to spawn. In some parts of North America trout are stocked into remote lakes by being dropped from low flying aircraft… with great success. People are sometimes a little bit too “precious” about fish. 😉
