Good information soft dent ok spiral in ... Same size but deeper definitely go straight to the centre with soft tip you have to make it soft then spiral out the dent .So many dents end up with trapped metal.
Thanks for your comment Geoff! Yes you're right about the trapped metal and approaching small but sharper dents from the center first, thanks for your input...
A good video but I think there's a mistake about when talking about leverage. The closer the hook to the hand, the more pressure you need as effectively the lever arm (distance from pivot) is reduced
Thank you for your comment JK, I've watched back a few times now and yes perhaps I could have explained the leverage point better. Its all about finding that sweet spot close to the middle to give you an even amount of leverage without too much movement left to right... Thanks for watching and providing your feedback, much appreciated!
ok so i made that mistake of pulling a golfball sized dent from the center, and, yes, got two new shallow dents now. the dent was remarkably at the very center of my hood.
Yep, its easily done, if a dent is small and shallow like a 5p or a dime size then the centre is fine to go for but once its bigger than a coin like golf ball it often needs to be reduced before, although occasionally with shallow dents a big enough tab, or cold clue like Glexo its possible but it would need to be pulled gently and slowly drawn out...
