This is the first firepit video I could actually relate to as a simple and practical one, something which an average person like me can build in a weekend !! I also liked the way this guy doesnot use heavy tools and costly materials or extensive measurements unlike some other landscaper youtubers !!
I hope this guy blows up. He seems pretty genuine and doesn’t sugarcoat stuff. #respect Build a deck for us would yuh? One that’s 5ft off the ground and 16’ x 24’ (LxW)
Thank you for this video. I think you just saved me a ton of headache with the weedblocker tip. Newbie to home DIYs, so this was very helpful with no fluff or unnecessary junk. Thank you!
Just watched a similar video where a guy poured some giant concrete slab around his fire pit. The whole time I was thinking why doesn’t he just put down some gravel, it would be a lot easier and less expensive. I think you did it the right way. 👌
Thanks for leaving the cost at the end. For me it is important to show what you spent. I am in the process of doing the same around my fire pit. Thanks again.
You have just gained a subscription, looks good, was explained so well, i feel like a 9 year old could do this with how simple it is, exactly what i was looking for, totally doing it in my yard
I love what you did here and that you provided the cost of the materials. This will give me an idea of how much I will have to spend to tackle a project like this.
Thank you for sharing. I'm in process of turning an old veg patch into a fire pit/ seating area. I already have the gravel in place and great idea of adding the posts and lighting.
I am going to do something very similar to this . Thanks for sharing I am planning a smokeless fire pit. With a few small mods you can have one as well.
I just have to say - you are amazing! Down to your techniques, the tools you use, and your ideas.. flawless execution. Wish I had this much handiness to do this. Maybe when my daughter is a little older and doesn't bug me so much I could do it. Lol
LOVED this! thank you so much for sharing. I also live in IN and wondered what was best for areas where it snows. I am a new home owner as of last year. Needed an idea that a single cat-lady could handle LOL
Thanks for the video! One tip: instead of cutting into the sod with a spade, use an edger to create your “lines” and then the pick! Just a little back saver (:
Just discovered your channel and it’s absolutely amazing … wow… easy explanations and no cutting corners or lying on the labor intensity some things may require. Probably one of the best UA-cam suggestions in a looong time! Now I can binge watch all your videos and scare my kids about future projects they are going to “volunteer” assisting me with 😂😂 Lots of love from Belgium 🇧🇪!
How big did you make the outer circle of the pit? And how wide is your brick fire pit itself? I’m struggling to decide how much room I need for the seating area. How far out to dig from the fire pit for the outer circle.
Great video! I really want to do this in my backyard. When I went to your website from the link, I couldn’t find this project or the list of materials used. Anyway you could put it back up? Thanks!
Amazing! I plan on doing this too but with the posts set with concrete in the whiskey barrel planters...I just can't commit to putting the posts in the ground set in concrete since we will sell in a few years! Plus pretty flowers are a bonus :) If I don't want to dig up the grass to avoid dirt/grass disposal and back pain, can I use the cardboard method of killing the grass? Outline the area, set cardboard down and wait for the grass to die, add landscaping fabric and then pea gravel? Or would it be best to just dig up? Your project turned out great. Thank you!
@@ProjectBuildStuff bummer. I went with incandescent on my deck for that very reason. Easy to snip out the extra for a custom length. Enjoy the space. Looks great.
Maaan those are some fire pit goals right there, looks amazing! My "firepit" is literally a big metal bowl sitting on top of a concrete slab 😃 I'm going to have to try some of that thermal paint though!
For the lighting posts. You’d be better off pouring a concrete footing, extending above grade slightly, then attaching the post to that. This way they won’t rot and can be replaced. Less lateral strength perhaps, but that’s not really a requirement here.

First video that I’m actually gonna do. Please make more videos!! I appreciate this so much.
Took a huge amount of inspiration from this video to build mine, it will be finished this weekend.
Thanks a lot for the great video!

I am going to do this while it is cool here in Arizona. This is very simple, nice and easy. YAY!

This is great and simple! I was looking for an idea like this.
Thanks for the idea brother , I also live in IN. I have to give this a try.
I like how you post the cost of everything in the video. Thanks for that.
Thank you for made this video, I just my mine with a $292 dollars.
I got the 3/8 gravel PEA
No lights!
Thanks again!
How many pavers did you use?
Awesome job. You just made my life much easier.
This is almost exactly what I m gonna be doing in our backyard. Thank you!!
Me too😊💯
Love this idea! Definitely something everyone can do even in a small backyard.
New home owner here 👋 Loving your videos so far! Very detailed but easy to follow 😊 Thanks for posting!
I am so happy I could help!
I did this with a section of my backyard, but did a square spot. Came out great!
I am going to do something very similar to this . Thanks for sharing I am planning a smokeless fire pit. With a few small mods you can have one as well.
Simply beautiful!!

Man you worked super hard! Looks amazing!
The hanging lights and the poles really looked great!

Great job👍🏽 Just would like to know where you got that many pavers for $40..lol.
You the Man!! Thanks Bud!
Loved it carnal.
Thanks for the video! One tip: instead of cutting into the sod with a spade, use an edger to create your “lines” and then the pick! Just a little back saver (:
Nicely done sir and video is well done as well.
3 feet post in for string of lights wow!
Try a county with boulders all over
Awesome Video bud !!!
This is awesome! I've been looking for a good video for something like this!
This is awesome, you make it look so easy. Wish I knew about your channel sooner. I subscribed instantly.
Only video I can find that’s practical.
Any ideas for an alternative to the light posts so you don't have to dig holes?

Omg! Looks so easy!
Thank you for sharing 🔥I want to do this with our fire pit...only square...🇨🇦
Nice job! Thanks for showing the cost budget! Very helpful in how much I would need if I wanted to do something similar!
Great video! Thank you!
How many pavers did you use?
Hey nice vlog
What was ur distance from center to outer edge or around circle
Great video! I really want to do this in my backyard. When I went to your website from the link, I couldn’t find this project or the list of materials used. Anyway you could put it back up? Thanks!
This is exactly what I am planning on doing!
what type of gravel did you use?
What's the outside diameter of the firepit?
Was going to do pavers. Might just go with gravel 🙏🏾❤️. Thank you
That’s what I’m thinking too! We have a small concrete pad but I could expand that space with the pea gravel... Great video!
pro trick: watch movies on Flixzone. Been using it for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Leo Samir Yea, been using flixzone for years myself :)
@Leo Samir definitely, I have been watching on Flixzone for since november myself :)
Great work!
Great vid dude
😍 Awesome work. Thanks for sharing!
wow looks alot better
Hydro for the lights? Extension cords?
i would paint those posts black or dark brown and also get some end tables and maybe a coffee table
That was freaking cool about to build me a fire pit for my wife

What did you end up doing? I would be afraid the cardboard wouldn't be level.
@@skylar-2133 Never got around to doing a firepit yet, unfortunately! We started with a large deck project and a pool instead. It's still on our list!
Well done!
Very nice, love it
Me watching in 2024” what happened last year” * checks when video was made… “ooh” 😅lol… but looks great! Looking to do the same soon!
Brilliant tutorial! Easy and fun to watch! Thank you!
Beautiful
Looks good
Simple and impactful. Thank you
How did you ge6t the power to the lights?
Gefällt mir sehr gut👍👍👍
We’re doing this!
Enjoyed the video. Would have been nice to cover how you got power from the house to the fire pit for the lights…
I like your idea. very good 👌👌👌👌👌👍
Looks good. You should cut the extra light strand out and splice in a cable to get rid of those empty sockets. Assuming it's not an LED light strand.
They are LED lights and the plug is at the end of the stand unfortunately. Wish I could!
@@ProjectBuildStuff bummer. I went with incandescent on my deck for that very reason. Easy to snip out the extra for a custom length. Enjoy the space. Looks great.
Cool back yard ideas 🤘
Really good job enjoy the video of the fire pit do it yourself
Well done man!

please elaborate
Great job!
Looks great!
Hey I’m remodeling my backyard. Great video. How much brick did you use for the hardscape when you lined the edge?
Great video! Just wondering how many feet from the center did you draw your line?
I love it!
If you rent a sod cutter from your local box store the grass removal step would only take about an hour. Super easy.
Awesome!!!
Is there a working link for the supply list? Wondering how many pavers to get for this size.
Great video mate. Subscribed
How do you power the lights? Run an extension cord to the house? Or a solar power thing?
Next time try using a Mantis to break up the grass. We used it when installing our patio and it was a LIFE SAVER.
Amazing 🤩
I love it man
Thanks
Looks awesome! I’m Wondering how you disposed of the soil? So looking forward to doing this to my backyard 😊
I have some wooded area behind the house that I was able to spread it in. I know that’s not too helpful lol
How did you run power to the lights? Outdoor ?Extension cord from the house
Lovely 💙👌
Love it so much!!
So I did the exact same and have a question. What did you do with the extension cord for the lights??
Nice work. What size of 4x4 posts did you use?
I went with 10 footers that I put 3 feet into the ground.
Awesome! Where did you plug in the lights?
Thank you so much!!! 👏🏼👏🏼
