Enjoy life rob. I've been a subscriber for a while now and honestly I enjoy every video and you give great info on the speakers and which ones are best for certain wants and needs. Although I'm much like you and love bass. Keep up the good work and enjoy a cocktail every now and then man you deserve it👍
Thank you very much I really appreciate it. cheers
awesome review!!
Thank you I appreciate that
Lovly review 😀
Thank you, cheers!
I am a very happy owner of 3 x Sony v90dw... A very good thing is that they can be linked due to the Google assistant feature. Now, pushing them to volume 40, is pure madness. The sound waves are literally pushing you away from them. You can feel them on your face, body, objects around you, the concrete floor is vibrating hard. It's a challenging experience. The funny thing is that you can hear all the frequencies, the sound is clear and undistorted even at higher volumes. In Fiesta mode you can take them outside and start the party for two neighborhoods.
that's got to be crazy.
Hi Emanuel. I have a question. I just got a v90dw but I feel like getting 1 more to be placed opposite. I couldn't find any information on the internet but are they going to be able to connect and played together wirelessly like the newer Sonys with "wireless party chain".
@@bryanyeo92 Sounds like he has them linked via Google assistant.
@@bryanyeo92 yes, they are able to be paired/linked/connected together. Use the Google Home or the Sony Music app. They must be connected via WIFI. The easiest way to do it, is to use the Google Home. The Sony Music app is very useful to play with the equaliser and the light effects. And play music from your phone. I use an Android phone for them, so no clue how they work with iPhones. Also, they can be linked with any speaker or sound system that supports Google Assistant 😉. I have three Sony v90dw and three LG SL10YG linked together, for movies, but for music I use only the Sony speakers.
Hope this helps and if you have any other questions, let me know.
It is worth having more than one v90dw in your house😃 but be careful, if it's not solid enough, they will cause some serious damage.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos it's insane actually 😃
They are in my holiday home, hopefully in September I will get there and will make a video. I already got goosebumps just thinking about that!
both r great speakers👌🏻...as you said 🍻
Yes they are, they both have their strengths.
To Me the LG sounded better wideness in range; very close contest; I do wish U would put them on the same exact numbers while testing, I can hear U turning one up due to it being lower. That’s how U tell if the powers true... Great review as always 👍🏽👍🏽
Yeah the sony is not as loud but it has way more bass and goes much lower. It's hard to judge when you're not in the room with them. That's where the trust comes in. Do you trust my opinion or not? Thank you for watching and commenting.
Great review. Would you know of any store that has it on sale at this moment?
Sorry for the late reply your comment was in my spam folder. I do not know any stores that currently have it on sale.
*I wish you could try with LG OL100.But still lg smaller for locating at home, connecting with lg tv also.I prefer for sound quality sony one but lg specially ol100 one definitely a beast.I believe vocal and bass little bit better on sony. When it comes to Meridian eq on ol100 also not bad. Thanks for the awesome review.*
You got it. Meridian is awesome, it's great Lg got them to collaborate on their speakers. Meridian makes like 30,000 dollar speakers they are very high end. Anything that says meridian is gonna sound great. I wish I could get the OL too.
thank you for watching and commenting
Thanks for the review Rob. Can I stream music from UA-cam via Bluetooth to this speaker?
Thanks for watching. Yes anything on your phones speaker will play through the bluetooth
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Many thanks :)
Very nice & useful video please make sony mhc v 90dw vs jbl 1000 party speaker comparison please
Maybe at some point, but the Sony v90 will beat the PB1000. I am certain.
I have sony v72d,and is something i never heard to be so loud,so i saw on ypur chanel, that you tested the v72d,and im planning to buy v90dw,and can you say by your onw word how much is v90dw stronger then v72d,i mean,is he louder than him,a know that the bass i much better on v90dw,here is less more punchy bass, its not sharp, and also great video,i just wanted to know, when you said, that the lg is louder,i was just interested if the mid and hi,are louder on v90dw,then on v72d.
Thank you.
Yes it is a bit louder than the 72, probably 20to 30% louder and the bass definitely goes lower on the v90.
Hi rob nice videos...can you tell me which one would you pick today..the lg is a 2018 model .and i cant seem to find one new ..which unit woulld be an updated pick for you .i want the low bass that dont drop off..and if possible .to have tws ...stereo sound would be great ..thank you
no you can't get the ok's anymore. Depending on where you live the lg ol100 is available and that is what I'd pick. The newer lg's are not as loud but they still sound better than the sony's. The JBL's are decent too.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos thank you
Rob also which ol 100 ...rn 5 rn 7 or rn9 im in new york
@@cbotz069 Ok so you can't get the OL100, that's only available overseas. I like the rn7 best out of the three available lg's. It has the best sound. The Sony's are cheaper but don't sound as nice, they are way more powerful though. The jbl's sound great but you're paying a lot for a battery.
hi! Is it still worth it to buy the sony model that has aged for 3-4 years this 2021? or maybe do u sony will be releasing a new version that i should wait maybe??
Thanks man, I always like to get a model thats been out for at lest a year. If you're looking at the larger ones I would order as soon as they're on sale. They don't change often, but some do get discontinued.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos ahh i see, thanks!
that intro about drinking got me laughing hard lol
lol My girl says y'all think i'm a drunk and I should change the channel name to "The Drunken Review" 🤣🤣🤣
That was an epic opening. Cool guy even if he is drunk all the time.
@@johnbutner2570 lol I ain't drunk all the time lmao
One video between sony mhc v90dw vs jbl partybox 1000 please
The Sony would wreck the pb1000. I like the ok99 better than the PB1000 and I like the Muteki more than the ok99, so the pb1000 wouldn't stand a chance. Don't get me wrong the 1000 is a nice speaker, but for the price I like the others more.
Hey thank you great video but i got a question can you test v90dw with deep low songs? Cz i heard it can be low and deep
I will do my best
I can confirm that the v90dw can do really deep. I own 3 of them, but pushing them to the maximum volume it's really hard and dangerous for the house. If you are in the middle of them, at volume 40 you feel your chest pounding and it's difficult to breathe. Monsters. They are monsters!
@@emanueltoma8945 that says it all and gosh you have 3 of them, can they be 2 be paired in TWS?
@@aashishdevgun I'm not sure what TWS means, but they can be paired with Google Assistant or via Bluetooth with phone, tablet or laptop/pc.
@@emanueltoma8945 2 speaker in true wireless stereo mode?
Sir Panasonic ua90 urban or lg 99 which one deep bass plz
Sorry brother, Panasonic is not available in the U.S. I love the lg's though.
Which speaker has more bass out of the Sony & ok 99?
Sony for sure
Wish could have included the JBL PB1000 as a three way comparison.
There are several pb1000 videos on the channel. It was the pb1000 vs the LGok99. I like the pb1000 but it's a little expensive for what you get.
just curious how many speakers have you got at your place? 😅
Lol not as many as you think, these 3 large ones, a RK7, a Hyperboom and a PK7. Plus my 5 channel home theater.
I love you LG Ok 99
@@andreipastrana4510 Yeah its awesome
Which plays louder and lower? Have you done a frequency test with both? The Muteki sounded way deeper in the vid though...
The ok99 is louder by about 10%, the Sony goes much lower. Sorry no freq test, just my ears which are pretty good.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos thats about right. The sony sounds way more hifi too.
@@AbsoluteFidelity It generally is, but with a CD in the lg they're very close on sound quality. Those extra tweets and mids do make a difference and give the sony an edge on sound.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos how does the sony's bass compare to the pb1000?
@@AbsoluteFidelity Way better, the LG has better bass too, not quite as low but way more punchy. The PB100 has a bass roll off issue over 75% volume.
Those soundwaves were intense on the sonys
The thing does thump, it's a blast
You really must hear them to fully understand what they can do.... Sony is a monster
@@emanueltoma8945 yes it is
Brother Which one has more bass if we use it at outdoor conditions? Lg or sony?
The sony goes a bit lower but the ok99 is louder. I personally like the sound of the lg better, especially for rock music.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos thank you brother sorry but i forgot to mentioned do u have any idea about LG ol100 its 2000w is that better than sony?
@@Chipichipichapachapa356 I like the lg's way better than the Sony's. I can't get the ol100 in America, but it has Meridian sound so it will sound amazing. Anything LG makes that says "with Meridian" sounds awesome. Definitely recommend it.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos thank you😄
Bro which is winner best music system LG or Sony
LG for 100% sure. The Sony's are a good value but I find myself constantly adjusting the equalizer to get the sound right, especially when switching genres. The lg's sound has much more balance. Sony's do have the best lighting though.
Sony V13 vs LG RN5???? which is better?
Lg for sure, way better sound.
Sony anytime rocks ❣️
Until jbl arives
@@james9031 no the all over sound quality u can feel better then JBL . JBL is good for DJ set-up but for earphone, bluetooth or party speaker its not great
Apesar do LG ter mais grave, não achei um grave bonito. Como sempre Sony sai na frente. O efeito de luzes é fantástico.
Nesse caso, a Sony é excelente.
Sony speaker muteki have aux or not?
I don't believe so, there are two different models I think one has an hdmi and rca's and one just has rca's. I'll take a look when I get home for you though.
The Sony speaker has a better light show and it's loud but the OK 99 Hand down has better sound and better bass.
No matter how many speakers you compare against the OK 99 Im going to continue to put the OK 99 at the top of the list.
Ok99 is awesome, but the sony is romping it on bass, at least in an average sized room. The OK99 may beat it in a bigger room but I'm uncertain. Until last night the ok99 was my favorite party speaker. To be anything but honest with my viewers would do you all a disservice and that I won't do. Even though LG has become my favorite speaker brand, I won't hesitate to let them lose fair and square.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Yeah Rob reason why I keep the LG OK 99 at the top of the list is because these new speakers coming out is a 1000 to $1300 and the OK 99 is $600 an its steel hanging with these high price party speakers that's why I keep it at the top of the list.😃👍
@@slyr3287 You're absolutely right, LG's have been a great value. The newer models are not quite as good a value as the OK's were, but still decent. I'm starting to find some of the Sony's are great values too. The sony Smart speaker I did in late November early December was excellent for 100 bucks. I totally agree with you on the high price stuff. Just glad I got the Muteki for 800, what a steal.
Awesome video thank you . I like to see a comparison between v43d and jbl partybox 100 , it gonna be grat
Sony speakers that don't have a mid driver usually sound pretty bad so this wouldn't be a competition
@@Robsreviewsanddemos thank you then , but i see many people buy them , I don't know why?
@@HamidReza-qh4fw Because Sony's are generally cheaper than the competition. They're not awful especially when they have midrange, then they're a great value.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos thank you for your help , so I'll go with JBL because quality is more important for me
@@Robsreviewsanddemos in one of your videos you said for the first purchase sound bars are better then the speakers and I'm going to buy jbl 5.1 based on your thoughts
Which is better in these
Watch the video, I say it towards the end.
indoor use : sony as it goes down to 20hz which is best deep bass frequency response
outdoor use: lg goes down to 40hz, will sound very loud and punchy outdoors up to 37 hz bass is best outdoors
@@josealfredfernandes Yeas I am aware, it's not that the higher frequency won't sound good indoors, it just won't hit those very low tones. Still sounds good, I use my ok75 inside 99% of the time and it has plenty of bass. The Sony goes very low, but it's too huge to be pulling it out all the time. Those lows are awesome though.
Two lg ok99s or the ck99?
I don't know I never tried the ck.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos okay thanks.
I do gotta tell ya, the ok99's need a large room, at least 20ft x 20 ft. They' re awesome too, definitely worth the price. Thanks for watching.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos I watch all your stuff. Enjoy your reviews. Yeah I have two lg 55s but I moved to a new house and my living area is huge. This house seems to just kill the bass in my speakers. Sounds great in my bedroom but lackluster in the living area.
@@rayray3643 Nice thanks for watching. The CK takes up a good bit of room. The 99 is great but it's getting hard to find. Your call, lg makes great speakers, basically you get what you pay for.
I would try to get something stereo if it was me. Have you looked at home theaters? For 2 g's you can get something pretty nice. Two PB1000's or a 7.1 surround system, you will use it more than a party speaker probably.
I preferred the sound of the Sony better, too. The light show was much better on the Sony. $800 is a fair price for all you get.
Yeah it really is a good price, I don't think I'd pay the regular retail of 1300 for it though. I'd buy 2 jbl 310's first.
Sony the best
yes it is
You just ignored the monster speaker to which you were leaning on 😂. Ok75
Love the lg ok75 mann.
I bought it and i am very happy with it.
can't really put the 75 up against the other two monsters
@@Robsreviewsanddemos lg ok75 is great too man
@@anirudhsehgal9708 yeah it's one of my favorites
Bhai iska max volume kitna h....plzz bata
@@BadBoy-hc7mo Bhai merepaas ok75 hai.
Bhai sahi me tehelka macha deta hai speaker.
Yeh party speakers hai toh max volume pe aap kisi aur ki awaaz nahi sunn sakte.
Ok75 is a BEASTTTT and bass bhi bahut hard hai!!!!!!!!
LG OK 99 WIN
Not this time, the Sony's bass and lighting is just too awesome, but it is twice the price
Sony Is beast
Yes it is!!
FOR THOSE WHO ARE UNAWARE OF IT.
LG OK99, OL100,CK99 ETC HITS 40-20000HZ
SONY MHC V90DW HITS 20-20000HZ (that's why we say it feels good as it goes deeper)
BOSE F1 SYSTEM HITS 40-20000HZ etc etc
but if you are going to play indoors only then you will hear frequencies below 40hz, outdoors up to 40hz will be audible. that's why most brands' design systems are supposed to be used outdoors don't go below 40hz. In line array cases it does go down to 28hz, but it's useless, a lot of unnecessary power wasted. 40hz is the best bass margin for outdoors, indoors as low as you want.
Thank you for commenting. I try to keep the videos simple, most viewers aren't interested in the shop talk, they just wanna see a cool speaker.
