- Tangerine Dream - Purple Haze (Live In America 1992)
Founded in 1967, Tangerine Dream is the single most significant act in the history of electronic music. Their groundbreaking albums in the early seventies paved the way for a whole range of keyboard driven acts and they continue to influence the genre to this day. This DVD was filmed at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle on 25 October 1992 during the Rockoon tour. The concert film, directed by Michael Boydstun, features the live concert intercut with behind the scenes footage and incorporates the films and graphics used as backstage projections during the show to dramatic effect.

Superb guitarist Zlatko Perica. One of the best electric guitar players of all time. And the best music he has ever played in Tangerine Dream. Jimi Hendrix would be proud of this version of his song.
I had the pleasure of seeing TD in Washington DC and I loved every single bit of it!!!!!!
And also was blessed to be able to get Edgar Froese s autograph 😁👍💝💙🌝🌞❣
My father named me after him.
Howard Theater? I was there, the meet and greet was fun because I got to meet Edgar.

They should have made their own electronic version of it. That I could also
Bummed that they cut out the Daffy Duck bits.
Cool, but that song REALLY needs the vocals to work!
I really liked TD when they were an electronic trio and did truly groundbreaking stuff. This is not on that level of excellence - this sounds like any local rock band trying to cover a Hendrix tune - NO ONE can outdo Hendrix's first LP
No one can outdo any Hendrix album, but Purple Haze was not actually on the Are You Experienced album. It was a standalone single stuck on the American edition of the original English album in place of Can You See Me. Have to agree with the gist of your comment though this is woeful. Soulless, embarrassing.
I wasn't expecting Rubycon, but I was expecting a lot more when I clicked on this.
@@ghraffydd5275Rubycon was Tangrine Dream of 70s, Thief or Firestarter was Tangerine Dream of 80s, this (or Melrose, or Rockoon) was Tangerine dream of 90s. They are all different, and I live them all :)
