  • The Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaten undoubtedly ranks among the most fascinating figures in the ancient civilization of Egypt. What prompted him to rid Egypt of all of its gods except Aten? Was he the first monotheist in recorded history? Join Dr. James K. Hoffmeier and me as we explore the life and times of this intriguing ruler and the monotheistic religion he introduced to ancient Egypt.

I'm pretty sure the first monotheist in recorded history was Adam.

    Tx, very much appreciated.
Fascinating and so understandably presented, especially considering the vastness of the material.
I learned a lot and enjoyed doing so!

At around 50:45 James K. Hoffmeier says " ...Historians are divided on when Moses and the Israelites left Egypt..." but Dr. Hoffmeier says nothing about the Historians (his colleages) that despute the very existance of Moses as a historical figure (see Jan Assmann). Dr. Hoffmeier speaks about Moses as if he was an undisputed historical fact.

Yeah and there’s a theory that Akhenaten was the pharaoh during or after Moses and after the plagues the pharaoh Akhenaten changed to monotheism

Actually he was a contemporary of king David. Egyptologists missed the dating by about 250 years. Check out David Rohls lectures.

As we know, in ancient Egypt there were attempts to erase all mention of Pharaoh Akhenaten and his one god, monotheistic religion. So, not much seems to be known about that religion today.
And, beforehand there were attempts to remove the polytheistic religion of ancient Egypt. So, destruction both times. It's a pity the two religions couldn't have existed together in peace and harmony. Dogma does not work. There is also believed to be a connection between Moses and Akhenaten. There were also some followers of the monotheistic religion after Akhenaten.

The Akhenaton movement was apparently not a religious one, but spiritual - big difference. He was apparently using an atom symbol, not a sun symbol, to show a photon. Over 3000 years ago, Akhenaton was trying to tell us that God was, is, a photon, which is light.
Akhenaton was apparently a great Mystic, and Quantum Physic/Scientist. He was a Christ/Buddha figure of his day, long before them. Interesting. I actually thought it would have been along those lines. There were also other such Christ/Buddha figures, including thousands of years ago.
Akhenaton then getting his crucifixion. The threat to the Collective must be assimilated or destroyed. Resistance is futile. That is so typical of human nature.
The thing is, a spiritual movement would not be dogmatic. According to history, Akhenaten was first dogmatic towards others, and then after his passing, others dogmatic against his teachings. Oh well, it seems like history interpretation was wrong, we were lied to, by the same ones doing the crucifixion, as is often the case.

With those destructions of the polytheistic religion under Akhenaton, there were no doubt lies about that history also. It could have been deliberate destructions, done in such a way to make people later on reckon that it was that. Or, it could have been done by followers of Akhenaton misinterpreting his teachings, or both.

With all that knowledge there is no ledge... When the sun rose the moon fell everyone has a first thought when born. Ow or om (ow that hurt) (om do it again) see it in all personalities people hurt by experience and people that enjoy it. We need both to make the world go round. Anyone could have been ahkenaten but most look for "it" outside. Everything is within the observer. Generate. Oscillate. Dissolve. Every second G.O.D is working

What you appear to miss, is the logical symbolism of the Sun, as it is a circle, it is a perfect symbol of the Universe , as it has no beginning nor end, therefore no need for creator gods.

Demographics suggest majority of Israelites assimilated. How? Joseph & 69 family members enter Egypt. After 5 generations (210 years), about 620 000 soldiers leave; about 2 500 000 people. So, "Chosen' status is proportional to 10 Commandment compliance, NOT GENETICS, AS 35 FEMALES WOULD HAVE TO DELIVER ABOUT 50 BABIES EACH.

Moses, Aaron & 600,000 Hebrews left Egypt 430 years after Joseph first arrived in Egypt. This is written in Chapter 12 of the Book of Exodus.

Can we call Akhenaten first prophet of the Monotheistic Religions and first attempt to change the traditional belief system of the humanity? Also
    Nubian Pyramids are much
    smaller than Egyptian ones
which’s another proof that Egypt’s Pyramids were not done by ancient Egyptians .

Akhenaten is now Dimash Kudaibergen... Nefertiti is now Jasmine. Twin Flames with many famous past lives together. We even look the same in spite of changes in ethnicity. His sister was Akhesunemon, and his brother was King Tutankhamun. Another girl connected to us both, was Merritatin. That's who I have located so far.
I will continue tapping into the Akashic records seeking secret truths.
I also know that Dimash was Alexander the Great, I was Roxanna, and he was Shah Jahan, and I was his Mumatz Mahal. This is not grandiose fantasy, but fact. My intention is to try to tap into hidden knowledge. I believe it remains inside us all. I am hoping to uncover some revelations, to answer riddles buried by time.
