If the board was one rank and file smaller, you could use a regular chess board. I am not sure if that would add or remove value from the game, but it would be kind of neat to carry a bag of dice along with my regular chess board and play two games haha I love the aesthetic of dice on a checkered board - gods speed!
This was definitely considered, and you might be right that it’s a good move. I think I wanted more terrain hence the extra space but I’ll play around with it! And yeah, as a DnD and Chess player, dice on a grid was so satisfying to me lol. Thank you!
That's an interesting concept of a turn-based game, man! 20:37 I was screaming at this moment to move the lower red plane to victory breach😅 By the way, if you haven't come up with a good name for this "tactical chess" I would suggest to call it "Breach" because this is what pieces are actually trying to do. A great potential overall, deserves to become a digital game
