As an atheist I get it. It kinda hurts to hear people say the only way to get into heaven is by believing which makes me feel like they think I deserve hell 😭. I know it’s not the case for most Christians and they only mean well but it can still feel pretty isolating.

I have had a reoccurring dream for several years now, or I suppose it would be more appropriate to say an aspect of a dream, as I'll be having a dream about something else before it transitions to this; about God coming down and revealing to me that I'm actually an angel. The presence of divine light tells me that I fell from grace and, in his infinite mercy, he gave me a second chance, and sent me to live on Earth for a brief time as punishment and way of recompense, and now He's coming to permit me entry back into Heaven and allow me my angelic form once again. I feel a hollow, depressive malaise whenever I wake up, and it typically makes it harder for me to get through the rest of the day whenever I have them.
