    Haha...."Well"...Pause..."I'm not gonna go there" lol. You're awesome Jeff. Beautiful rig keep up the great work!!. You helped me build my very first 45 SML back in 2016, Its still my favourite toy and the only sub MOA ML I own. Thank you!

    Well Jeff, since nobody is commenting, I'll start it off. I have to say that I love when you go over your rifles like in this one but, I would love to see you go and shoot that same rifle you just showed us. Just group at 100 and maybe gongs at 2 3 4 and 500 yards or something like that. I'll tell you that outside of the people in the know who would be watching this have absolutely ZERO clue what a well built SML is capable of. So go show off your amazing rifle explaining what they are capable of is truly a show stopper.
    Anyone just catching this video I can wholeheartedly say Jeff makes amazing rifles and buy without fear. He is also a gentleman who wants you to be happy with anything you purchase from him. He is all about quality and stands by his products PERIOD

    I had good success installing your ramrod set up in a McMillan stock. Mostly thanks to your generous advice. It would have been great to actually see the process. I'm very pleased with all the parts I bought from you. My rifle is pretty dialed in. It works like a good one. People hardly believe what that actually means until they see it.

    Whats the length of barrel on this ML

    • @jeffhankins6616
      @jeffhankins6616  6 місяців тому +2

      This one has a 28 inch barrel, however I feel for 90% of the rifles I build a 26 inch barrel is plenty when burning smokeless powders.

    I Love watching your videos and I'm not a Hunter (because of vision problems) but you remind me of many of my Friends and Relatives.
    I first started watching when UA-cam recommend your Channel back when you were first building the Pond but have enjoyed watching the Shoot Competitions and other content. I try to watch when can and usually leave a Thumbs Up.
    Keep being You and Thank You for adding variety and knowledge to our lives.
    :)

    Excellent work! Thank you for sharing. As far as future content I have a few suggestions: shop tour, tool box tour, a typical day in your shop, pond update, painting the stock start to finish, start to finish of other build processes, feature Denise again shooting/talking about her favorite muzzle loader.

    Great video. It really explains what goes into your custom smokeless muzzleloaders.
    What is the barrel contour of this build?
    Could you go over the capabilities of the Brux #6 and #17 barrels?
    Thanks.

    • @jeffhankins6616
      @jeffhankins6616  5 місяців тому

      This build has a #17 contour. The 17 is a beast of a barrel where the #6 is pretty much the light weight for a 45 caliber.

    I am very happy to see you doing more videos. I took a 700 bdl 270 win that I've had most of life and got your prefit 45 smokeless. Ended up with a 1/4 moa rifle. 2 decisions I struggled with,1 40 vs 45, 2 prefit or machined to screw on action. I still kinda regret not going with .40.

    I’d love to see how barrel length affects velocities on your smokeless design. I think it would be really cool if you took an old barrel or one that doesn’t meet your standards. Start off long as possible and chop it one inch at a time to record velocities. I’m betting by doing this you can get decent velocity at shorter lengths and may be able to develop a light weight hunter version of your rifles. Love the channel and honest straight forward approach.

      There is a complete thread on that exact subject on my message board at www.hanksmessageboard.freeforums.net. Look for the thread " 4198 by the inch"
