A long time ago on youtube of old a guy who went by "classicSTYX" had this exact recording uploaded song by song. When his account vanished so did the source, I searched high and low for this and never did find it. I have a copy of the WLS broadcast that sounds marginally better than the one that widely circulates, but as you know no one managed to get the whole show like this guy did. This is awesome, I was starting to think the audience source wasn't real and I had made it up, haha. Thank you for posting, Isaac.
I found this on a platform called “soulseek” I’m really just trying anything to find these Styx tapes now and it’s been pretty successful. No clue how much further I can dig to find these, I’m interested in finding the “2-17-1979” tape at the San Antonio convention center.
@@isaacg2008 Good luck man, I didn't even know there WAS a San Antonio tape from early in 1979. That'd be huge, we'd finally get an answer to whether or not they played Pieces of Eight the song back in the day.
