Man you’re the only person I’ve seen who tells you how to put on the cushions correctly
Its hard
I got my arctis pro wireless for working from home and wicked cushions based on one of your other videos and I LOVE them. I have a big head so the metal headband BARELY clears the top of my head, but they're still leagues more comfortable than any headset I've used before and the sound on them is fantastic. Thanks for doing what you do!
thank you
Does it make the Arctis Pro Wireless more comfy? I have not been enjoying it w/ stock earpads & can't wear them too long w/o being uncomfortable because of the tightness. X_x
@@julso9208 Wayyyy more comfy, I've been using them ever since this comment and can wear them for hours at a time without issue
Thanks so much for the guide, your style of applying them is much easier. They are so much more comfortable than the stock ear cushions that come with the Arctis Pro. I bought the freeze gel speedracer cyan and my ears are singing in delight. Subscribed
I JUST BOUGHT MINE, not sure though which one he uses, bought them in amazon de for 35 euros with like a blue ting on the picture, there was one that looked the same for 30 euros and one full pleather also for 30 euros, but the 35 euros is the correct one right?
Exactly what I was looking for for my Arctis 7. They tend to feel uncomfortable after a while and I don't want to buy something else because the sound is so amazing.
Thanks for sharing, you saved my gamer's life ;)
Grabbed some Arctis 3 console edition at Best Buy on sale. Threw my Wicked Cushion cooling gels on there and greatly improved them. My ears always touch the drivers with the stock pads
I've bought 3 pairs of Wicked Cushions now. I wouldn't have believed it unless I tried them, they're the single best upgrade to any headset I've put them on.
I just got some wicked ear cushions in today I can't attest to the long term comfort yet but for the three hours of my first session with them was good. I do think the gel cushions sounded better than the stock. Though the stock stayed cooler longer. On the comfort I will give the edge to Wicked. They feel more plump (I do wish they were a bit thicker) and more sturdy on my head. As far as softness goes the stock is slightly softer but the wicked just feels better with the support the foam has. I guess you could say its like saying a medium firmness bed is better than a soft bed because of the support it offers.
Also your video on how to replace the ear cushions is far superior to Wicked's instillation video. They just say stretch it over the ring and then twist it a little. That was I installed them at first but then I saw your video and re-installed them your way. Your way was much easier and they felt more secure on the headset. You might reach out to them and get yourself a deal to show them how you install the ear cushions.
thanks for recommending. Have you cleaned the gel cushions yet? If so, how do you clean them without damaging them?
ordered a set because of this video, thank you for the coupon, and your instructions to install them made it to fast and easy. 10/10 video. thank you!
Such an underrated tech reviewer honestly . Love watching your vids when they come out.
thank you so much
@@TheTechneI currently have a headphone that has s 0 oval shaped ear pads.
When looking for ear pad replacements, should I measure the ear pads diameter, or the diameter of where I will put the ear pads on?
loving your reviews. got me a pair of wicked gel cushions for my arctis pro and far out they are comfortable and give plenty of space for my larger ears after I had a bit of trouble fitting them into the stock ones.
I had to return mine artic 1 x cuz the clapping force was squeezing my head... I was wondering if these ear cushions will make clamping force less irritating ?
you are the best!! your guide on how to put them on was the easiest of all!!
I bought the arctis 7 thanks to you, so I will give it a shot, the original ear pads are comfy but everything you recommend is worthy. Greetings from Ecuador :)
I watched a few of your videos and I really like how you explain things and, get more in depth than other youtubers.
Rockin' my Arctis 5 (2019) while watching this. Great vid as usual.
I have the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless version and for some reason I don't see them supported by wicked cushions, they specifically say Nova Pro WIRED only. The wireless version has clip on mechanism for the cushions maybe that why. In any case do you or anyone else know where I can buy good ear cushions for the Nova Pro Wireless?
I out in some wicked cushions on my arctis 9x last night (I got the set with the cooling gel). There is a noticable difference is no longer leaking with the stock cushions. The sound seems punchier as well. Bottom line it's a great upgrade. My one criticism is that I wish the ear cup was a tad wider.
I love seeing your channel grow, been here since 30k! big fan still!
thank you so much for the continued support
My glasses are really digging in on the left ear with the standard arctis pro cushions. What would help me?
I have the hybrid gels. And I'm thinking of getting the leather. Do the hybrids have good isolation/ keep sound in? I can't tell if it has a difference. If I take my headphones off I can hear it but I assume once it goes on my head it'll actually block the sound that way. Just don't know if I need to also get leather earpads or if the hybrids will block out good. I have some sound leakage on my 7p+
Hi @Techne does arctis earcups fit the Razer Barracuda? It's so hard to get replacement for Razer here in my country. Thank you
Bro i was so nervous to search and replace the cushions, but you are a legend! Ty u so much
thanks for the review, i went on to just order a pair to see how they are. hope it as good as it looks
how would you compare noise isolation between the gels and full pleather? i have the full pleather on my sonys thinking about coping the gels but if its not noticeable ill get the gels
I sweat behind the ears with the stock arctis 7+ airweave material, especially in summer time, which do you recommend: the freeze velours, leather or weave ? Thanks.
Can this old SteelSeries Arctis Ear Cushions fit the new nova headsets?
I was struggling for like an hour to put the new cushions on , thank you for the spin technique
Excellent guide. Thanks boss.
Hello, i love your content, i bought arctis nova 7p and i want to know if those earpads will fit in with my headset? Also will it reduce sound leaking and to fit better my ear than original cuz my ears are bigger . Thank you
These work on nova 7 wireless also? Thanks!
do you prefer the pleather ones or the soft ones
Thankyou for this. I was wondering if I could replace them since I wear glasses and it hurts my head so much.
Thank you sir. Worked perfectly and smoothly
I got the 7x but using them with glasses hurts sometime any soluciones for that?
Do the wicked coushins fit the new nova pro wireless as I have one ordered.
I'm a SteelSeries fanatic, and I am looking to get a new pair of cans for my TV watching and Music listening. Which one of these models is best for that, and will also do well enough playing games? I don't use headphones much when playing games, preferring to keep it open air and use my PC speakers, but occasionally I'd like to use them. But, my primary use will be watching movies and listening to music. Any suggestions on which one I should buy?
Does it make the Arctis Pro Wireless more comfy? I have not been enjoying it w/ stock earpads & can't wear them too long w/o being uncomfortable because of the tightness. X_x
What arctis headsets would you recommend if I currently use xbox but usable on pc since I'm getting one in the near future 😄
Definitely will help the headset become more comfortable and looking stinking good!
Will these work on the new nova arctic pro wireless headset
I love my arctis pro wireless. Using it two years and its like from day one - they even made some software updates for better sounding. Though I would love if they make clock for battery charger
Thanks techne for adding the indian Amazon link! Whenever i buy them gonna definitely use your affiliate link. Thanks for introducing me wicked cushions too
Always clutch dude. The spin for the win!
Which ones would you recommend to use with glasses on?
@The Techne, is there a difference in sound between wicked cushions with gel and those without? I mainly play fps like escape from tarkov, where sound is essential
Up for this , techne missed to review the sound comparison with the stock pads, maybe cause it does not affect the sound it just isolate them if you got the pleather one.
trying to figure out how to attach the pads and looking at other vids. you just had to spin it! thanks! youre the best so far!
Best man about tech stuff
I upgraded my arctics pro wireless to the cooling gel wicked cushions back in July based off seeing you advertise them. Love them.
Same here, they're great!
How do they hold up a year later?
@@hugemeansteve6275 still good! I’m using Audeze Penrose now and I bought more wicked cushions for those.
What is the best arctis headset ? Im confused to buy steelseries or cordair virtuoso. Which one should i buy ?
Could you try to fit them in the razer barracuda x? That is the only thing holding me back to buy them
I got the arctis 7p+ and the cushions feel slightly different in size and it’s pretty annoying because the left side feels really empty and not insulated so I hope this can fix it
can theses cushion be washed and used again?
I bought the standard Wicked Cushions and I'm super disappointed. Immediately upon opening the bag I could see a problem. The ear opening on the Wicked Cushions is so much smaller than on the stock SteelSeries ones. Sure, the WC ear pads is larger in total size, but the ear opening is narrower. Just looking at them side-by-side, the difference is obvious. People must have such tiny ears to be able to use the WC ones. The SS ones have a wider, more rectangular ear opening that makes it much more accommodating for the ears. I'll probably be returning these... So disappointed.
Saved me from purchasing. Thanks matey.
Cheers for the review dude, I was looking around for a good replacement, I'll stick with the basic steelseries replacements, then. Much appreciated
Well its obvious lol
I got one of these. Wicked cushion earpad. Btw how to clean this?
is this actually useful and any good, i mean comfort wise only, is this sweating less and is it more breathable than a default ones???? can anyone type their experiences who used these. ty
OMG!!! Thank you!!! Best useful video ever 💯‼️
do these work on razer kraken ultimates? or only steelseries?
Genius!! thank you so much!
thanks for this rotation tip. was having a hard time installing my new ear cushions lol.
I went with the pleather ones and they isolate outside noise better than the Arctis 7+ cushions. I live close to a highway and they pretty much get rid of those faraway noises.
@Techne It looks like the Wicked Cushions have a narrow opening that would make them sit on the circumference of the ear. Doesn't that create pressure points and discomfort? My arctis 7 headset kills my ears with stock cushions.
Your ears go inside the cushions. The cushions rest against your head
Just received mine and put them on and oh maaaaaaaaan sucha huge difference with my arctis 5!
damn it techne, your energy your enthusiasm. Its great, love the reviews brotha!
been had these, they are amazing also sound quality is better
I'm late to the party, but I got a pair of Arctis 1. Does anyone know how the Wicked Cushions compare to Brainwavz earpads?
thank you so much this was really helpful
Do you have a link for Philippines wc?
Where can i buy here in the philippines
i hope they help cause the standart ones are just not thick enough and my ear pushes against the headphones and it starts to hurt after 1 or 2 hours
How long does wicked cushion earpads last?
I don't know, the stock Arctis ear cushion is the primary reason why I bought it in the first place. Are this Wicked Cushions breathable?
I got the gel cushions and the stock cushions are definitely more breathable. The wicked cushions are more plush and cozy and lock in sounds better. Because of the extra padding though it makes the fit a bit tighter.
You’re gonna make a video of the Steelseries Arctis 7p+? I ordered one and it’s coming Monday and I want you review of it
yeah
Thank you!
I'm tossing up at the moment between the Arctis 3 & 5 and I just want to know if the 3.5 mm to USB dongle on the 5 affects the audio quality at all?
Depends on what device you plan to play on. Other than the USB chat mix and RGB lighting they are identical headsets. I 0lay on a Xbox Series S so I went with the Arctis 3 to save money.
Awesome content Techne double thumbs up mate 👍🏻👍🏻
thank you so much
Sadly not availeble in the Netherlands. I’m looking for a good set for my 9X
thank you for the video!
I love this channel.
hey bud i've been watching alot of headset reviews. i've almost been sold on getting the blackshark v2X but i also am curious about the arctic 1's even though there 40mm drivers. im not sure which one would last longer. my main thing is longetivity on a headset.
i was wondering if i could get a comparison about the logitech g432 the blackshark v2X also i noticed you did the 435s but the 432's are the same price at the moment of the blacksharks' and i want to know the differences and which one would be better for everyday use. with gaming included. occasional voice chat.
Just got the razer kaira pro (ps5) they are great. Sound is amazing haptic on low is perfect for gaming. They work with bt so it adds extra bass for music and movies. Great headset.
Just got some gel’s can’t wait to get them
I bought an astro a10 and sadly i couldn't use it more than 5 minutes because holy tight it is and gave me a really bad pain.
just yesterday bought Steelseries arctis 3. much better that astro but still feel pain after 30 minutes of using that.
is wicked cushions help me to enjoy the game with headphones or i should play without headphones :(
or use books for Stretching my headphones ( i didn't try that this way )
Techne is the best salesman out there. Im going to buy a set for my headset rn!!
lol, just stating awesome things
For how long is the gel ones keep the cool?
I have turtle beach gels but those are cool for a min then it's gone making them feel more hot than regular headsets.
first bit is nice and cool, then it feel balanced. never overly hot, I think the sports material help with that
Been looking to get some replacement pads for my Arctis Pros for a while now! These look great! Ordered some with your link! Many thanks.
your gonna love them
@@TheTechne I was actually considering risking some ebay china specials, these look way better 😂
Does it make the Arctis Pro Wireless more comfy? I have not been enjoying it w/ stock earpads & can't wear them too long w/o being uncomfortable because of the tightness. X_x
@@julso9208 I would say yes, but I never had a problem with them being too tight, they just made my ears hurt after a while but the new pads fixed that issue for me and made the headphones comfortable for hours of use for me! They're less firm than the stock pads so that may reduce any tightness you were experiencing - I'd say it could help with that though. For the cost I'd say its worth a shot!
I'm getting them. I've been using the default earcups on the pro wireless for a year now, but it's time for something more comfortable
any recommendation on ear pads? The default ones on the steelseries have a really annoying squeeking sound when wearing glasses.
Cough...
man i cant get mine off or im too scared mine are clipped in i gpot thr artic nova 6
Whats thebest headsetfor the series x price unlimited
Can someone help me get the differences between the 3 options, in terms of sound, comfort, and sound leak
can someone recomend cushions for glasses user? i get a headache after a couple of hours. Homeoffice is killing me right now cause of the headache
Going to buy some today!
MAN even gave an aussie link! all about this guy
I just found this video because the earpad on my arctis 7 tore and i panicked ..thinking it was diffcult to replace AND OH MY GOD your video saved me from ..being like really sad.. ididnt know it was this easy ti replace ear pads ! THANK YOU SO MUCH I could cry happily honestly
which ear pad did you buy, I have the same problem and would like to get the original but they don't sell them anymore.
can these be washed in some way?
Any discount codes?
Hey thanks for making this vid, I DM'ed u on twitter a while back regarding my ears touching the inside of the drivers, these have more depth to them as well as less give, I'll give these a try when I can!
Didn't know about these until now! I was deciding between Steelseries & A40s. Ordered the A40 due to me being a 6"4 guy, big head , heard the A40s give more comfort for a bigger head when playing long sessions. Hope i made the right choice..
I love the A40's
Hi techne I'm looking to buy a gaming headset, after watching your videos I'm stuck between the arctis 7, arctis 9s, arctis pros and the logitech g pro x, Which out of these headsets should I buy
pros
This is completely true the cooling gel really does work
