From what I was told....the cabin air filter can be accessed from both sides of the transmission tunnel. That way you have a clear path regardless of being right or left hand drive. I saw a video of a guy showing this. I have not done this myself but I did see him do it.
Just a little info from someone with a north american 453 (left hand drive): The cabin filter door is also on the right on mine, on the *passenger* side. I ended up pulling both panels (starting on the driver's side) but I eventually got my issue sorted.
I’m just trying to find mine now and mine is right beside the gas pedal yours seems to be on the opposite side and a little black cover that covers it. How do you take that off?
Great stuff👍 Would be interested in seeing driver's door inner panel removal if possible. SMART 453 ForTwo driver's window keeps jamming/sticking so I'd like to get inner panel off and have a look at the gubbins inside to see if there's a simple DIY solution to things. There's nothing I can see externally that's pinching or grabbing the glass.
You have to pull the outer door skin to access the inside of the doors. In order to pull the doors skins you're supposed to pull the fenders first. In order to pull the fenders you're supposed to remove the front bumper. I'm not joking. I jad to do both sides to install aftermarket speakers. I was able to remove a few bolts from the fenders and shim them out so I could access the doors skins without removing the whole dog house. Look at the Evilution website for a proper description.
Poor quality picture and poor lightning, not easy to understand what to remove.... I found a better way to do it (for left hand drive cars) on an other video: no need to remove the side panel, just the floor panel under the passenger feet. with two screws
@@laurentmarandet4850 share it then…. Here with the wheel on the right this is how to do it. Happy to be shown another way. As for the lighting. I try my best to and you are the only person to have said this. But I accept I’m not a professional
So, after taking your criticism on board I watch the video … I believe with the settings on my device it IS GOOD picture, it IS well lit, and I do describe VERY clearly what you are removing and how. Sorry you didn’t think so but on this occasion I strongly disagree. Glad you managed to get yours sorted.
Thank you!
You are very welcome. Thanks for taking the time to appreciate. 😍
@@smarte.r.1450 It’s okay, you literally explained everything to do & more :)
Please show more videos about working on smart cars thanks
Next video will be on replacing the engine air filter. Then replacing the spark plugs
No worries I got it
My God it’s dirty unbelievable. Wish I could show you.
Thanks for showing this. I noticed on another site (evilution) they removed the puncture repair kit from the left-hand side and did it that way.
He’s very knowledgable

@@07zx14White spot on. It’s a very simple affair
Here's one I would like to see ...how to upgrade the speakers in the doors ..thanks .
Oh poop. I’ll stick it on the list. Sounds expensive 😂😂
@@smarte.r.1450 even how to take the door cards of and get to the speakers .
@@fourgreenfields2721 very doable

Have a look at my one. It’s the same procedure just I. The opposite side. 😉
Hi will I have one on my 2 seater 453v 🤔
Two seater 453 petrol engine yes.
