Simone is not playing with Myles 😂😂. However, Cecil is right, not many 21 y/o are ready to be in their own and that’s okay. Inflation and the cost of living coupled with low wages, makes it hard for many people to live comfortably. The American college dream isn’t the same as it was when Simone graduated. Conversely, those struggles does make a person more willed to strive. that’s not the way he was raised so Simone and Cecil may have to approach Myles in a way that will make sense to him and stick so he’ll be able to survive.
100% agree with this comment. I think parents struggle cause they see how it was when they went to college, but things just aren’t the same. The economy and college is just not the same.
I understand that most time girls do mature faster than boys however that doesn't negate the fact that they still need to be taught responsibility. It has been that mentality that has led a lot of young men to not take responsibility and most of the load has been put on women particularly black women. And even say so now seems like he still depends a lot on his wife to pull the load and that's very unfortunate. I'm sure they live quite comfortably courtesy of dr. Simone

Myles’ is not terrible like the others that we’ve seen. Privileged may be the better term and honestly, I’m all for black children experiencing privilege because Lord knows many don’t. As a parent myself, you always want to provide a better way for your child because you understand how most times having said better avenues, leads to betterment for the child to excel. I had summer jobs, work study, chile everything so you definitely preaching to the choir. I think that it’s something deeper than what Myles is saying to his parents; Cecil may know since he’s a man. I don’t believe in “pushing the baby bird out the nest and hoping it will fly”, parents are here to Support! Many other ethnicities support their children in building a future, let’s see more of that in our community.

I hope you realize plenty of children with wealthy parents work a summer a job which includes flipping burgers just to build a little character. I doubt that will be her career choice but it teaches youth to value the money they earn. I think people believe all wealthy folks live like a rap video. If you want raise kids who rely on their parents to provide for them, make sure you have a family trust and a responsible executor. She has made sly comments about his weight and shit before and I’m like, that isn’t cool. It’s clear that she wants to be a trophy wife and she expects him to take good care of that trophy.
