So you're telling me not only do they make the lyrics, choreography, beat of the song but they also direct/edit they're MV?! I'm a new carat and came across this video and I'm actually Hella shook. Wow, I'm disappointed I didn't know them sooner! They're really talented.
welcome to the diamond life! they add their own inputs in everything they do, believe me. i suggest you watch their Hit The Road documentary for Ode to You world tour (which will also give you more personal understanding of each members besides the struggles they experienced off the tour). seventeen never slacks off. they have big passion and they pay attention down to every details themselves
The content and idea in their Going Seventeen episodes (SVT Variety show) is also from seventeen themselves.
Wonwoo directed their Holiday MV and Mingyu directed the Snapshoot MV. The industry or the people of Korea gave them the self-producing idol group because they witnessed how Seventeen took into their hands to produce their own music just to debut. Predebut, all of them already know how to write and produce their own music. In addition to that, they have extra tasks. Designing, deciding the concept of their album, etc. Mingyu was the groups' hairstylist because Pledis couldn't afford one back then.
They are all rounder too....what a blessed group..

SVT's talent in a 44 minute video = The greatest 44 minutes of my life.
it's fascinating how the company let SVT to produce their own music, came out with their choreo that matches the members vibe and aesthetic. not every kpop group has that privilege.
Actually it was because the company was broken at that time, svt has gone through a lot of struggles just to debut
it’s because not every kpop can do it. Seventeen has been self producing and etc since debut so they pretty much can make their own company at this point😭
Pledis couldn't really afford to give them all the support so the members really had to do it on their own and how much they're fated becaused we have Woozi a talented producer, all of them good at writing, members like Wonwoo, Mingyu, Dino who works on video/MV ideas, shooting and edits. Perf team for choreos (sometimes other members too).
I personally think that it came like a blessing......since their company was broke they got the chance to become self producing idol. If they were in other company maybe they won't have realised their talent and got the opportunity to showcase them. Fate gave them the opportunity.
Opportunity comes when you are in your lowest
i'd just like to say that i'm so thankful for the hoshi-woozi combi. as the main engines and the choreo-vocal leaders of svt, the amount of stress, pressure and burden they go through, im so so thankful they're still here making amazing music for us carats. and im especially thankful for the rest of svt for being their backbones, and always being there for them through thick and thin.

Looks like this video needs to be updated already, especially since we saw Mingyu do his own snapshoot mv; Dino lyrics on Fallin' Flower, The8 on Falling Down; Hoshi recording his very own Horanghae Song... Etc. Seventeen is overflowing with so much talent and self-produced content that this 44 minute video just ain't enough 😂😂 we need a 24-hr video~

Okay, so I knew about Woozi, Hoshi, S. COUPS, Vernon, and Dino’s major involvement in vocals, choreo, and composition...but I had zero clue about Wonwoo’s video editing, DK’s Going choreo, members who are not Woozi or Hoshi doing voice directing, or about the video directing section in general. I feel enlightened. This was beautiful. Impossibly, I love them more now.
FYI all member could make their could compose song, it just they often just ask woozi for song bcz woozi had a ton of un-released song, due to pledis had a strict rule about song that should be release, and yeah it easier to release song by woozi is the one who makes it bcz woozi song is the standart of pledis song, even that they usually make their oen lyrics, even jun and vernon make their own song for his solo
As a musician I'm so impressed by how well they retained the melody of the Going theme song that DK had improvised on the spot! That and how fast they put the lyrics together is truly impressive.
I love how Jihoon lets the other members suggest stuff as well. 🥺🥺💗💗💗💗💗 bb boiii

Most of their GoSe is skit driven with no script. Theyre just given a theme or concept and they have to do the rest
bro watching them create the going seventeen intro and outro is CRAZY
I wish they were known much more for this, they are unique, not all groups produce without the presence of their superiors and some are just writing, not DOING IT ALL from the start

Yup, i never skipped a second of this video. Their effort, their talents, and personality are amazing. Seventeen is surely one of those groups that needs (or deserves, rather) to shine brighter because that's what they deserve!

Not trying to boast about myself but I've never been more grateful to my mother about her decision of putting me in singing. The pride and satisfaction I got when I could tell when the lines or tone were off and when they were on point is immaculate! Getting back to the topic, these people are a group of wonders of all kind put in one.
I didn't feel time passing as I watched it. Lol. I didn't even realize that the video is 43 minutes long, I was watching at around 34 minutes when I realized that it was kinda long so I checked. Boy was I shocked to see that half an hour already passed. I guess I was enjoying myself too much to even realize that I've been watching a 43-minute video. Hahahahaha
