Oh they look delicious gareth😋 I have had the strawberry cheese cake ones & the Lemon ones from farmfoods but not for a long time I like them they don't like me I suffer from really terrible migraines so I do have to be careful what I eat but those cheese cakes are deffinately moreish unfortunately can't have them anymore ☹️ I hope you are soon fully recovered
In the fire brigade years ago I kinda got a bit blown up following a gas explosion in a car garage. I damaged my tonsils and ripped the back of my throat a wee bit. I survived on a diet of buttered bread with no crusts dipped in tea with loads of sugar for about 2 weeks.
I had a salad today with 120g cucumber, 100g tomatoes, 30g light Hellmann's mayo and 3 large hard boiled eggs, it was a big bowl about 1.5" deep and that only had 20 cals more than one of those cheesecakes. He says if you're dieting forget eating stuff like this and I couldn't agree more. It's been months on end since I ate something like this and if I did now, it would be 1/4 of one. You'd be starving if trying to eat around 1,000 cal deficit while eating stuff like this. I have a 350 cal salad and I can last out for 5 or 6 hours on it. Once I get my 6-pack back I am going to revert to eating like a horse again 😂
Yes, good tip. Fruitflies avoid swatting, are open window-proof and all but uncatchable. A spray of thick kitchen bleach or other thick spray can also be effective if you can get close enough to them. The liquid clogs up their wings. I don't want to be cruel but they are so annoying.
@@Staggercfc I make wine and found a fruit fly dead on a blow off tube, but zooming in on it, there were bands around it like a wasp, even though it was like this 2mm fly. There's all different ones. This summer I don't remember seeing as many. They used to hover about a lot when I had my rolling tobacco open in summer. Little bastards!
I am reminded of school dinner's treacle tart in the 1970s. We used to hang around the school kitchen back door during afternoon playtime. Where they would hand out left over portions, Happy days.
I have Ambrosia custard (cold) in a dish with mandarin oranges poured on top and some of the juice the mandarin oranges come in. It's lovely. You should try some Gareth. Ideal for you since there's hardly any chewing required.
I think I will be buying them with some double cream on them. Good to see you back at your best. You need to buy the bigger specially selected lemon cheesecake then you can cut a bigger portion for yourself
I can't do puddings for some unknown reason. The sweetness sets my fillings on edge. If you're having a problem with your jaw Gareth, try a comparison with Macaroni cheese from various supermarkets. You'll get the flavour, but you can swallow 😂
You got me proper salivating. I'm Diabetic so not allowed them... I remember my first cheesecake. I was 16 and worked in a frozen food shop. I took one home to share with my Mum and Dad... The next day I had to bring a few more for the whole family to try. That was 1974 if I remember correctly. Love the video.
I enjoyed watching you enjoy that cheesecake. One time I couldn't eat any solid food for a while and I got so sick of milkshakes and soups that I put a chinese takeaway in the blender... I think it was broccoli and tofu. Sounds terrible but when you're hard pressed for choice, anything novel is nice.
Love a cheesecake, If I go anywhere and they have cheesecake I generally go for it, by the title and Gareth’s jaw, had a feeling he was going to do a angel delight video
Haven't had cheesecake for years but bought two from Tesco the other day because they looked reasonably priced which is a rarity nowadays. Mrs Molly's store brand, one lemon & one strawberry which were less than a pound each and were 375g which is a decent weight/size. Ate the lemon in one sitting as it was surprisingly good despite me being picky with food. Looking forward to the strawberry one next time I feel a sweet tooth coming on.
Just checked my receipt, they were only 85p, so those on the video are very expensive at £2.39 for only 180g. Most of that 180g is likely the glass jars too!!!. No wonder you want more!
I love sweets.. a little too much though. I got one of those apple rhubarb crumbles to serve 4 and i ate the whole thing in one go... Thanks for the review, those look well tasty.
Wow Gareth ….! That looks really yummy ..! Do you remember the deserts we had as kids like “Angel Delight “ ….etc? Maybe you could have a go at making a jelly, or go one better with a home made trifle (without the sherry!) Glad to see you looking better, maybe you could also try making your own cheese cake from a packet ..! (Really needs to sit in the fridge for a day before eating though, so you’re editing skills will come in handy! Onwards and upwards Chapeau Anthony
I do love a cheesecake Gareth 😊 Thank you for sharing this video. I'm definitely going to treat myself to a dessert after my Sunday lunch. I look forward to watching your videos, you cheer me up with your sense of humour. Take good care 👍
Omg cheesecake, trifle, I love dessert 😊. Love to my own on Sundays. Home cooked family meals. But during the week if I see a lovely dessert or a taramasu im buying it 😊
Yes they're delicious, I've been there but I avoid one of their lemon ones as it contains alcohol (probably limoncello). Great to see you enjoying something a little more decadent after that tomato soup. Them ramekins are great for using as a selection of dips. Great review sir! 👍👍
It’s amazing how fast the body starts to fix itself from the inside. Unfortunately I’m still a Friday / Sunday binge drinker and can’t seem to get over the Friday nights.. but I’m watching you all the time these days as your drinking is exactly the same as mine.. I work a 50 hour week with not a drop then come Friday it kicks my arse..
Those dishes are nice to hold but they must cost as much as the contents! My missus makes her own pâté and uses them for storing it, with a bit of butter melted on top to seal it 🤤
Gareth I've got Biscoff spread in my cupboard, love to eat a spoonful now and again, it's lovely. Only trouble is, I've forgotten where I bought it from 😂 I might even try and make a Biscoff cheesecake!
I've had them and they were very nice. I also use the tubs for Cumberland Rum Butter. Just the right size for them.... Great video too. Get better soon.
Bought some last week. Very sweet but l liked them. I'm waiting for my local branch to restock their version of the zillionaire cheesecake. Thy were delicious.
I’ve always wanted to try these (if not for the snazzy glass jar keepsakes) but they’ve never been on my top priority list (I’m always grabbing for the Oat Biscuits 😅). I think I might just be tempted to now 👀
Always like a treat from time to time..........Pretty sure we got them for our kids, but not tried them personally........will have to give it a go........ :) but if it's too sweet thats a no no for me......
I had the lemon cheese cakes in them ramekins absolutely beautiful. The ramekins are great for tealights. Well done, can't wait to see your plack 😊 thanks hun
Congrats on the silver award! Also, lovely to see you enjoying something rather than punishing yourself with those rank Fray Bentos soups. Keep them coming.
I love cheesecake, I love Lotus Biscoff, but I am not sure about putting them together. I do like the look of these, though, so one for me to try next time I am in Aldi. (Diet, what diet? 😋)

Hi Gareth, Thank you so much for reviewing your cheesecake it looked really delicious but more to the point really glad you enjoyed it & that is all that matters you are looking well all the best mate Lin 🙂✨
It looks amazing! And that's cool they put it in glass jars. Btw, this Texan is going to start calling "cookies" "biscuits." I'll start a trend, or piss off other Texans. I'm good with both!! Carry on! Get better soon!

who else remembers the Golden Girls? "I'll get the cheesecake", "I'll get the ice cream" "I'll get the whipped cream (squirty)"
Loved them, so funny, lots of clips on UA-cam.
Lol the golden girls expeclly the mum
Oh yes. I still watch episodes and it always makes me laugh.
Oh I remember the golden girls

They are small for a reason you can always eat both of them 😂
I would 🤣

& if you keep the lid off a Pringles tube they fit the glass dishes exactly….great for storing small portions.👍🏼
thanks for the tip!
The gravy/sauce granule plastic tops also fit some of these.
they do come with a lid already, and i think most other brands do
@@Inexpressable They do but they split easily & once washed up they turn back to flat plastic so are not made to be re-useable.
@@julesb7707 ah fair enough, not had to wash the lids myself with hot water yet. use it to cover the pot then rinse with cold water
I love these tiny cheesecakes. The glass jars are perfect for fruitfly traps, too.

I don't know what has happened to Aldi belly pork and pork slices lately, but don't try them for a long time yet Gareth they are so incredibly tough!!
I can't be the only ones who loves these for the fact that afterwards the glasses that these are served in make great ashtrays ha haa
I am reminded of school dinner's treacle tart in the 1970s. We used to hang around the school kitchen back door during afternoon playtime. Where they would hand out left over portions, Happy days.

Thank you I completely forgot about that treat, I’ve checked the store cupboard and I have both yipee - pudding tomorrow sorted!
Although a bit expensive gu cheesecakes are top notch well worth reviewing
That's what they reminded me of too
Used to love them. Don't think as nice now
top notch? the ingredients are appalling, taste good because of all the chemical flavourings
@@lightninggornallif they taste good what’s the problem??
@@AFndjdj7373 That is not a serious question

Omg....angel delight back in the 1970s Sunday dinner. Lol
Especially the butterscotch flavour

Not keen on Soup but I love Desserts Gu are very expensive but lovely the dishes are useful I’m afraid I have lots of them X
I'd recommend these I've had them many times you can get them in lemon and lime to
The glass dishes are great for planting seeds. Nice vid Gareth.
Good idea thank you
Have not tried those ones yet but we have had the lemon triangle 2 in a box cheese cakes and they are gorgeous.
Aldi's version of Gu. Cheaper and just as good.
Yum yum 😋😋
You have to start Selling stuff! 😆😆🇩🇰❤️ i wan’t a mug with Bald Foodie Guy or a mug saying “spot on” or a t- shirt saying “hope you are spot on”
