some basic "I wish i knew sooner" spoiler free:
you can fill a pallet then fill up your arms and relocate the pallet to get more grass moved in one trip.
you can peep a corpse.
You need to activate your mutations, can have presets
You can craft a lot of things on the go without the workbench.
blocking is important!
you can chop grass stems with the axe, not just the shovel.
you can dry berry leather on the jerky rack to save on costs. 1-1 vs 3-1 by handcrafting.

@@plutobp7191 not cut the grass down, but i'm pretty sure he was shoveling up the "stem" bit at the end so they didnt grow back.
Some tips:
1. You can destroy the stems of glass by using any weapon (not just a shovel)
2. You can equip the dandelion tuft in your accessory slot to glide, so you can easily get down from higher places
3. Blocking is a thing (RMB) and is essential in order to progress and fight tougher bugs
4. Mutations need to be activated from the mutations tab once you unlock them
5. Fiber bandage gives trickle regen (there is no passive regen in the game) so they are good to carry around

I'm honestly not even surprised at Skyes' initial confusion about building up. Not only is it a bit odd that the game doesn't start you out with a way to get your stuff off the extremely uneven ground, it's also got like a hundred different progression mechanics, and random stuff is gated behind each of them. Sometimes you get new recipes ideas from analyzing, sometimes it's from just picking up the materials, sometimes it's from killing enemies, or levelling up brainpower, or buying them with science points... With all that going on it's no surprise that a new person coming in would be confused or have no idea what they're missing.

This idea wasn't good indeed, and they knew it.
The fact that both player and character said almost same thing in a few seconds gap made me giggle.
As a long time grounded player (I’ve played since beta) there are mods but most are like texture mods to make a spear like a diamond sword from Minecraft etc. but there are no real mods for new creatures and armor etc.
Edit: just a tip you can block with your weapons and shields to parry creatures attack but you have to block at the perfect time when they attack also when you peep a creature it will show you a model of the creature you peeped and it will tell you what type of attack it’s weak to and where it’s weak.
I would recommend watch vids from other UA-camrs to learn how to play more because grounded is a very very complicated game
I love how you put it into parts were we can see how you played insted skip important stuff that new players don't know were to go and how to get there and it's relatable to new players learning how the mechanics work.

Hey Skyes I will be giving you some helpful info while you play this game but the info i give will not spoil the game just make survivng easier for you. First, If you place a water container under a drink like the Tropicop Puncho it will collect the liquid the drops out of the straws. Also the drinks only come out of those containers once a day. Second, When you collect the first super chip that is in the hedge you willl learn more about how this all happened. Third, The scanner you unlocked allows you to find any resources you have researched, however it will only show in the areas where you have visited one of the research places. Fourth, the corpse chip is in the red Anthill which can be found by heading towards the picnic table. Finally, Peep everything you will unlock a mutation that allows you to a lot more damage to all creatures.
Also the little dandelion poofs you have stored away can be used like parachutes but you can hold forever so be careful when jumping from high heights still
This is one of my favourite survival games, I'm really excited to see you play it! I can't wait to see what kind of base you end up making near the end game! :D
I never played Grounded but I have seen people play it so I can tell you some things.
If I remember correctly, there is a dew collector that you can make out of web fiber (I think).
You need to equip your dandelion tuff so you can jump and glide down.
1. You can block AND time your PARRY
2.Peep stuff (SPIDERS and other stuff) so you can learn their weekness
3. If you don't understand what weak to spicy/fresh means those are elements
you can put elemental dmg on your weapons
fresh dmg= Cold dmg
Spicy dmg= FIre dmg
and there are more but I won't spoil them
The story/game is long so don't worry

Loved this video! This was the first GROUNDED video I've ever watched and I hate insects but this was entertaining to watch! Can't wait for the next one!
Next episode you should definitely head into the ant hills as they have pretty useful stuff! But make sure you have the full ant armour set. If your wearing the full set, the ants wont attack unless you attack! There are soldier ants who are much bigger but wont attack if you have the full set. Also, tadpols are not hard to find, and the pond is pretty safe if you stay close to the surface. Tadpols dont attack, but the koi will swallow you if you get too close. There are diving spiders, but they usually stay farther down. Some smaller things, you have to equip mutations for them to work, the little random noise that ur always frustrated and scared of is your SCA.B. it tells you when a station is near by, you can see it above you hunger and thirst, i recommend the ant club this early on in game, it helps quite a bit with ladybugs whivh can be used to make really good armour, and progressing in the story is probably the best thong you could do. It osnt boring, just adds more! I think thats it from me but im so loving raft and even more excited for grounded!!

I just thought of something, so what if grounded had seasons to where curtain creatures only spawn in that season so you would have to wait a in game year for those creatures to start spawning again? That would make the game so much more harder but fun

The healing item heals over time in small durations but slightly faster then maxing out thirst/hunger. I believe there’s a stronger healing item but I may be wrong

this is all the tips and info that will not contain spoiler :
1. do not put all your food in a storage container that is in the open because the ant will eat it so as your other open food that are cooking and very need a divider between those storage and the ant .
2.if you cut a few grass plank it usually take 1or more in game day before they dispawn i cannot prove this thing work because random bug can totally walk on it and basically scatter it anywhere.
3.you can carry extra storage with you to gather more plank by using the plank pallet but however once you do that beware of the spider they are annoying.
4.if you are trying to find more ant *** at the anthill try kill all of them a then come back in few minutes after it will create more.
5.you can start blocking the enemy attack it can reduce damage (not doing it correctly) or to not take any damage if time correctly soo if you carry the shield better getting started because it will totally help you fight the wolf spider (trust me if you are trying to get better at blocking the wolf spider is dummy)
6. you can find more weevil near mushroom (just an info)
i can totally tell you more but i wanna see how chaotic it will be sooo just ask and i will help you (pssst if you do not need to worry about chopping all the tree it will grow back plus it will give you more plant fiber)

Great video! It’s fun to watch a classic let’s play instead of a compressed 3 hours from a week long grind. I think you could also shorten it to 1 hour to make it more lightweight to watch. It would also make it easier for you to record them 😼

dont forgot to get a jerky rack bc if you hang berry chunks each chunk will turn into 1 leather instead of crafting it with 4 for 1. The jerky rack needs bombardier parts which are found near some big rocks and near the berries.

Skyes the section where you found the blueberries was the correct location to be at since you needed to go on all the zip lines to find the hedge lab which will help with the storyline and progression plus just a little heads up the here are a lot of baby spiders

Im writing these as im watching so idk if you figure any of this stuff out yet oops but I have tips:
you can make slurries to tame aphids, weevils, and gnats which give you perks when they are equipped
Once you upgrade your weapons enough to put the elemental effects on them you can kill different food dropping bugs and the elements will either cook your food(spicy on ur weapon) or dry it and turn it into Jerky (salt on your weapon)
Breaking web sacs where spiders live will have Lil spiderlings come out but they sometimes have different bug parts useful for crafting the higher tier stuff for free
Kill enough of a neutral bug type and they may get mad at you and come attack your base
Use spinning wheels and jerky racks to get more out of ur materials like spinning crude rope Costs 1 fiber for 1 rope compared to crafting it costing 3 for 1. Same goes for drying 1 berry chunk for one leather instead of 3 for one
Peep every creature it'll show you all its weaknesses and stuff
There's quite a few hidden items around the map; including used weapons, armor, and accessories that provide different buffs
There's tons of spots throughout the map where you can squeeze into but bigger bugs can't, use that to your advantage
Once you have more mutations (perks) than you know what to do with, use the different preset slots to have multiple builds to cycle through at will. I typically have one for running around one for actively fighting etc.
Pay attention to weapons attack types, some weapons stab, some slash, some chop, And not everything is weak to the same thing
Also if you interact with any head mount it will give you a temporary damage buff and if u interact with a stuffed bug it will give you a buff on looting their bodies
would say peep everything, research everything, read everything regarding weapons tools and aromor. read what the mounts and stuff insects say, under your health and water icons there is a section that shows effects you have. also for building a base build where the rocks are near the pond or on the log where it has a nail in it
I’d say your doing fairly well. The beginning armors and weapons are very weak and you’ve only died 3 times I believe and once was due strictly to fall damage. Overall for the first time playing it’s gone really well

I'm only 11 min in but my best advice is do the hedge maze first so you get the asl up and running. Then you can locate resources you need all through the yard
use drying racks to make berry's into berry leather its more efficient. also berry leather is used to make all of the tier 2 armors and the hammer
the bandages are giving your health back over time like you see the buffs and debuffs right under your life and stamina bar and only if you use one bandage it almost or even completly heals you if you dont have like massive health upgrades if you acctualy need fast heal during fights you need a smoothie stastion and craft these fuz on a stone smoothies or what they called😁👍

you can analyz the grass planks if you hold them with your hand
You'll need the Grinder and mushroom pieces to make mushroom pulp and then you'll need this and a furnace to make mushroom bricks for strong walls :)

Hey, you can put a dandelion tuft in your off hand and use it as a glider, just so you know
You can brake the base’s of the grass with the axe and you can have pets .you can’t ride the mounts they are wall mounts
So the way to get the strain is if you chop down one of those grants things with an ax you cut down the stem and you’ll get like usual ropes and then that’s what you get to ask you can I have to use your face the rock spear that’s all I know from personal spoons. I played it before but that’s all I have for you.

There are mods but not the magic drink there so you can like get rid of a type of animal like spiders, ants, and all of that but you can’t hack so that’s only thing I know from my beans like I said, in my other one other one I’ve been playing this for a couple days with my sister my brother, so I am also new to the game. I don’t blame you one time I thought you were bad told another day you’re actually pretty good richer smarter than I first started when I said you were bad I don’t mean it.❤❤❤❤❤

Grounded is one of the most awesome games (for me) I have ever played. Like, I love this to my bones and this comes from a person who is DEADLY afraid of spiders and always needs help from their friends to protect me from those beasts as I just start screaming and running away, whenever I see a wolf spider from afar! XDDDDD But I am REALLY brave at daytime and when I can hide from the infected spider in my safe base XDDDD haha

I will tell you that dandelion tufts can be used for a sort of slow falling effect
IMPORTANT: There is an arachnophobia setting in the settings tab that lets you censor spiders and there are a lot. I’ll delete the comment of later on the video you find that out but if not here you go, love the vids too on main and on this channel ❤️
Do you by any chance know what the censoring looks like? Like does it remove the spiders altogether or just change the appearance somehow? I don't have this game and I've never seen anyone play with the censor so I'm genuinely curious lol
@@break_the_galaxy there are 6 different sliders for it and in the settings doesn’t preview it unless you want it to. Zero shows the full body, one takes away half the legs, two takes the legs completely away, three removes the fangs, four squishes the body and takes away all the eyes except the two big ones, and five takes away all details and color so all you’ll see are two white blobs and the two eyes. In game I don’t know what it’ll look like so I’ll come back to you on that. Okay so I did check it out in game and all you’ll see is two colored blobs, mainly the head and body. Somewhat small in size with no details as I said prior, however you will still hear the spider noises in game so take that info however you like. Glad to help :)
