Haven't played Yugioh in a hot minute. With the release of Wild Survivors, I have been building a new Dino deck but wasn't sure exactly how to play it. Out of all of the deck lists videos I have watched, this one was the most informational on how to actually PLAY the deck. Keep of the good work brother, you deserve more recognition.
Thanks man. That means a lot. I started playing Dino last November, and since then I've been putting a lot of time into finding the perfect ratios, and this video was mainly to help new/casual players get into a deck that has seen a lot of competitive relevance in the past and will be seeing more in the future. I'm going to be uploading a video of my perfect dino decklist hopefully before the end of this month, and more videos like this as well. Hopefully 1 before the end of the month as well.
Great video! I am a big fan of dinos myself and i really appreciate the dedication you are giving into this deck. I must point out that in the first test hand you normal summoned chimera when you couldn't do it because you already have used your normal summon. You could have summoned your scrap chimera only by activating your scrap raptor effect destroying a monster you control, which gaves you an addictional normal summon of a scrap monster. I am excited to see more content of you about dino.
Yeah, in that I normally use Raptor's effect beforehand, I even said at the end of that hand I miss played. Thanks for watching and enjoying the video. I don't know how much more content I'm going to make about Dino, I think I'm going to try and branch out into Cyber Dragons and more.
I really hope to see an updated video like this with the new wild survivors and animation chronicle supports! Keep up the awesome work bro this is what I call quality content.
I'll definitely be doing an updated Deck List around the time those get released in the TCG, but it won't be the full how-to with dino. Thanks for watching, this took a lot of effort and it's awesome to see people respond to it like this

This comment wasn't that long at all, and I normally don't like modelling decks I build directly after someone else's. I wanted to make this as a general guide for people wanting to start playing dinos. Thank you, I'm doing a lot better, a new video will be coming very soon, since my computer is thankfully working again.
Great video dude! I’ve been thinking about playing Dinos because of my nephew. This was a very comprehensive and detailed video. Thank you for sharing this knowledge.
Your video got recommended to me & I’m glad it did. Your discussion about Dino DNA was really helpful and it opened my eyes to the potential some cards have like I was considering using 2 copies of lost world, but you showed how good 3 are.
Well it's a hundred now 🎉🎉 But I just put a lot of time and effort into this video. I'm hopefully going to get another one of this type of video out by the end of the month, I appreciate the compliment though Edit: also when I first uploaded the video I only had 15 or so subscribers
Been a long time dino player and this is quite comprehensive but the thing that i've noticed in my 5+ years playing this deck is although the skill ceiling is much higher with the scrap and doodle engines, it is far brickier and inconsistent. You end up losing more games than you win due to the extra lines and combo potential. The honest to got best way to play this deck is much more control and otk based, and cut AS MANY BRICKS AS POSSIBLE. The less you brick with this deck the better. Small world helps with bricks but not enough to rely on. It's incredibly fun at a local level but has no real staying power competitively outside of fringe tops. Some notes tho: Lost world is unironically the single best card in the deck in the current format. So many people are playing targeting cards and going second board breakers that are completely shut off by the token, and kash can sometimes straight up lose if they didnt open birth with token on board.
With the new Transcendrakes, you'll be able to reuse Misc a lot more, and also another comment put me onto Nemeses Keystone, to be able to shuffle, search, and keep reusing misc. So targeting cards are a lot less of a threat if you can keep using misc, which is where I believe the deck struggles regardless. We need Misc to be back to 2 or 3 for this deck to be a contender. In my WISU list I traded out the Doodle Beasts for the new cards and kept the basic core the same. Ideally that'll be coming out next week, because I get my new camera this weekend
In my defense, I did say "semi-budget" I also had accesscode in there which I think is more obscene. But also the common Ash Blossoms are fairly cheap since they were in 2 out of 3 of the latest structure decks. TCGPlayer puts the one from the Traptrix Structure at $5 USD, so I don't think that's too far outside of most people's budgets, especially now that majority of the dino core is less than $7 combined. I appreciate you watching the video regardless, though. Thanks😁 Edit: spelling
Appreciate the kind comment, and yeah I absolutely will be posting an updated deck list, but my computer is having issues at the moment, so I'm not able to make videos until that's fixed. Appreciate the sub too
Hey, great video! Only thing is, i had your video at max and the audio was still quite low. Not sure if others had that issue, but its somethin i noticed. Thank you for the guide nevertheless!
This is a great primer. But I also feel showing non scrap variants is nice. Things like the G-Golom variant that makes a smaller endboard. But is more consistant due to the deck not auto losing if you open chimera
Wait I am a little confused so forgive me for asking a possibly dumb question (I am getting back into yugioh after a very long time), so at 6:00 , you say to chain link 1 souleating oviraptor (with the start of his effect) into lost world (with lost worlds effect), which will then summon the token therefore negating or stopping ash blossom, but if this is considered "chaining" can't it be stopped by ash because wouldn't your opponent have the opportunity to have a "response" being ash blossom (stopping you from adding a card to your hand or sending one to the graveyard) before you proceed to the second chain being lost world? I understand it working as such, but I am unsure if chain link 1-chain link 2 means either lost world effects activate first then oviraptor(which is what would make it safe and work but doesn't sound right cause oviraptors effect says "If this card is normal or special summoned" which supersedes lost worlds effect of summoning a token in my head to protect from ash or anything that targets) , or if its basically the scenario I described prior where it would be oviraptors effect first then lost worlds. Sorry if its a bit of a read and I thank whoever helps me with this greatly, as I will be getting hardcore into dinos soon cause the archetype just looks super cool to me but just want to have a grasp of how it fully works
So, this is actually a really common misconception when it comes to rulings. Generally this would be the case, but both effects trigger at the same time, so since you're turn player you get priority to activate simultaneous effects in whatever order you want, then your opponent can only respond to the last effect activated. It's a technique affectionately referred to as chain-blocking. You can look it up and other people will probably be able to explain it better than I can. Appreciate you watching and asking questions, though.
@@stupidwebYGO Ahhh I see and understand what you mean, thank you so much for clarifying this because I went on reddit and saw a graph but it didn't describe this scenario which was why I was confused. I appreciate the help and also AWESOME job on the video, it is really great and will def be coming back to watch more of your content!
Now that True King Lithosagym is back to 3, you can easily replace it all with 3 of him and Draconic Diagram. Either that or more staples, board breakers etc.
This video made me realise just how absurdly insane dino generic support is. Just imagine how even more busted it would be if you replaced all the Dinosaur keywords for Dragon 😂
That's why a lot of generic dragon support cards are banned. I can't remember what number monster it was but it just sent 5 free dragons from your deck to the GY.
I'm going to do an updated decklist for Wild Survivors and then I think I'm also going to do one when cards like those are released in the TCG, until then they're not particularly relevant
I'm thinking of doing an update to the deck for the Wild Survivors release, and so I'll do it there. This is mainly a basic version of the dino deck that is just a general thing. But I'll absolutely do it in the update video, or maybe in some shorts/shorter videos
With the new ban list you could also run a small Yang Zing engine in place of the 3 Doodle cards and substitute something else out for a Jurrac Aeolo and Denglong in the extra deck since an omni negate is never a bad thing, and Nine Pillars into Baxia + Bi'An quick synchro on opponent's turn= Herald which is yet another omni negate. Or you can just run the one Denglong and Nine Pillars and just use Scrap Raptor + Archosaur for the most streamlined version possible. I find that keeping a Lithosagym is good because of the babies obviously, but it also helps you gain advantage if you draw into cards you don't want to draw like Golem or Chimera. Of course, being unsearchable without mixing in some Dragonic Diagram is a bit of a pain for the consistency because the deck won't be able to move forward in a single direction as smoothly, but it's still worth considering in theory at least. Getting the ratios down would be a bit of a challenge though considering you probably wouldn't want to run 3 but you would definitely have enough targets, so maybe? In order to dismantle the opponent's extra deck as hard as you could, especially in matchups like Kashtira. On another note, I'd never tried the Lost World variant and had no idea about the Oviraptor chain link thing. I'll definitely be experimenting with that. Scrap Dragon can be a Hail Mary play with Chimera and Raptor to pop a baby for free advantage. And you can push it further by targeting the token too - Scrap Dragon, target a baby on your field and the token on the opponent, Lost World effect, and then you pop two babies instead. It's slow but it's not a bad play if it doesn't go interrupted. Yet another thing to consider is running a single Destroyersaurus instead of the Terraforming. If you open with Lost World then Terraforming is a dead card in hand for most of the game unless you use it to bait out an Ash before you activate a Lost World, but Destroyer would be relevant through most of the match especially to combo with Lithosagym if you already have Lost World, or perhaps a bigger push with Misc or Giant Rex. It's also a level 4, Earth, and has 1800 attack so it can be used to reach various more important pieces of the deck with Small World. Even if Destroyer got Ash'd you would still end up with a Dinosaur in grave for Oviraptor and such. Or run one of each perhaps and use the Draconic Diagram like I mentioned earlier. Considering you went full combo in the test hand without using even 1 of the Fossil Dig, I think it's reasonable to say that you should see if you can make room for Destroyer. Something else to consider is making room for Psy Framelord Omega because he can recycle the Misc. Summon it out with Scrap Raptor and whatever Dino you have and just sit on him until the standby phase and use his effect to move Misc back to your graveyard, then use Omega's main phase effect to pick a card out of the opponent's hand. I get a lot of mileage out of Omega in Dinosaurs, the utility will always be very good unless we get Misc back to 2 or 3. Omega is especially good because you don't have to change anything about the deck, just take out Bomber like you mentioned, and the deck still functions completely unchanged. Very good and informative video overall and I appreciate you introducing me to the Lost World combo with Oviraptor that I've been overlooking for years lol, I'll definitely be checking that out because it seems really good. Cheers
Love this comment. I'll take it paragraph by paragraph. I absolutely could, unfortunately I don't have a ton of experience with the Yang Zings, but this will absolutely be something I experiment with going forward. Lithosagym is definitely a card I considered putting in here, along with Draconic Diagrams, if nothing else for his summoning condition and then yes obviously his ED dismantling. Just asking, how have you *not* seen the LW variant of Dinos, I thought that was the MAIN variant. Peronally I think the Scrap Dragon is a little less of a valid play than the Yang Zing suggestion, but still worth giving a look, if nothing else as a hail mary. Your suggested play is very similar to a play I've done with Lost World, Babycerasaurus, and Dark Hole. Unfortunately, Destroyersaurus only adds the old Field Spell "Jurassic World" not "Lost World" and I also don't think it's particularly useful. But thanks for the suggestion though. Omega has been on my radar for a while, and I can't believe I didn't think of him in there. Putting Misc back in the GY would be so easy with him, but I think now with the Transcendosaurus monsters coming out, he might be a little less useful, as the xyz monster Transcendosaurus Drillygnathus, can do basically his whole thing, while putting misc back on the field so I can even use him as follow-up link/xyz/synchro material and THEN use his effect. Just seems a lot more efficient and it's in-deck stuff already that I don't have to wait around a full turn for. I appreciate you watching through the video, it makes me happy also when people give feedback and suggestions like this. I would absolutely reccomend using UCT/Lost World to completely decimate your opponent's abilities and resources. Edits were spelling misakes
@@stupidwebYGO The Yang Zing engine is very easy to get the hang of, but if you draw any of the pieces other than the trap card then the other is just a garnet so it's definitely a risk/reward to consider, especially by all of them being Wyrm types so they don't naturally fit into the main deck. But an omni negate in exchange for a single main deck and extra deck slot each is pretty decent considering the trap is searchable so it's nearly guaranteed unless they Ash the search. But even then, you still get a level 5, 2800 defense tuner on board. Not the best play on the planet, but you aren't completely defenseless lol But then again, you also get an omni negate with Laggia without a search, but Denglong puts the materials in the grave immediately to possibly go off with Oviraptor or Misc, so potato, potato I guess. About the Lost World variant, I won't lie, I net-decked with a Yang Zing True King Dinosaur list that topped some big tournament on my first go-round with Dinosaurs in 2017 I think? and just never bothered to try anything else haha I play tabletop Yugioh almost exclusively so I never made the adjustments to try it out, and over time I just kind of forgot about it and so never came back around to it. I also had no idea about Destroyersaurus not searching the correct one! I forgot Jurassic World was even a card so it completely slipped my mind. Both cards having "World" in the name also doesn't help lol it's a shame though, that'd be sick to have such a better version Terraforming, and especially one that checks so many boxes for Small World and Lithosagym. That Drillygnathus card is something else, I hadn't seen any of the new Transcendosaurus cards other than seeing the main deck monster's artwork on the Yugioh Official Twitter a few weeks ago but I hadn't looked into them yet or read any of the translated ones. Being a rank 6 might be a little rough though but the new Twin Headed King Rex cards will probably become staples unless there's a piece to the puzzle I'm just not thinking about. My knee jerk reaction says that Omega is easier to summon just because the deck already has access to level 8 Synchro summons, but I'm sure there's just something I haven't seen yet that will push Drillygnathus to the top spot because you're right, summoning Misc is way better than just returning it. Drillygnathus would also be better for the deck as a whole by being a Dinosaur of course, but also by being outright stronger, both baseline and with that battle damage boost. Omega's hand pick effect is still a useful tool to keep in mind too though, as well as the ability to also return face down banished cards to your graveyard. They both have their ups and downs for sure, and just like the first paragraph, one instantly puts materials in grave but the other has an overall better synergy and effect thanks to being a Dinosaur and a banish Monster Reborn to boot. Edit as I was typing this out: I just read Xeno Meteorus, along with the other new extra deck cards, and uhh yeah him and Frostosaurus will be super consistent lol Drillygnathus is absolutely the better pick as a whole than Omega. But Omega does have an added bonus of potentially two interruptions on the opponent's turn so still not a bad pick either. But man that Xeno Meteorus line is gonna be a whole new ballgame, especially putting consistent rank 6's on the table. And being a tuner to boot? Being able to make all the new extra deck bosses with just those two? Absolutely crazy. Dinosaurs about to go on a rampage again and I'm all for it. These new cards look insane. It's 3am where I am so I'm a little out of it right now haha sorry if some stuff I wrote is nonsense. Happy to contribute to trying to make Dinosaurs OP again.
I revamped my strategy a little bit and have something to add in regards to Scrap Dragon. It isn't completely worthless to make it, even not as a hail Mary, because I realized that if you run a Dogoran Kaiju, you can use Pill to bring him out and overlay with Scrap Dragon to go into Hope Harbinger to get a free Spell negate every turn, or Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand for an effect negate, Number 90 Photon Lord to negate hand traps, Aegaion to dismantle their extra deck slowly but surely (on both turns as well which is kind of nuts and for no detach cost), or that Number 69(?) Sky Prison card to lock out Graveyard plays. If something happens to both of your Ultimate Conductor Tyrannos somehow this could be a solid backup strategy, although having to make more room for at least 1 more card in the extra deck, as scarce as that is. I haven't been able to mess with the Xeno Dinos yet but for now this is what I'm rolling with. If you open with UCT and any other possible way to reach Oviraptor, it means you can use Pill on Dogoran instead to overlay, and still get UCT on board turn 1. It's a 3 card combo technically since you need to open with a baby as well to get the ball rolling but still, the deck has a lot of ways to reach what it wants generally. Misc at 1 hurts but Drillygnathus will help circumvent that like you mentioned prior.
One thing that you won’t do but you could if misc is unlimited again (still hurts) and driven to a corner(witch isn’t likely to happen) as misc effect is the same level as the number of monsters banished OR LESS, witch makes a funny boss monster of the old age tyranno infinity, lv4 witch only effect is gains 1000 atk per Dino banished. But much probably I’m wrong so if someone can explain I would like it a lot
Also, something I think about a lot is with the new Transcendasaurus Drillygnathus, you can summon Misc back from the banished zone, so you actually can use Misc's effect like that on Turn 3
Yeah, i didn't have the time to include all the versions of the deck through history, just what I believe to be the general main deck plus my personal choices
That's the idea. Even before WISU, the main core of the deck has been reprinted a few times, so the deck was never terribly expensive, but I'm glad that more people are picking up dino now that it's all in one place
Generally it's for the sake of turn 3, if your opponent doesn't die, it's probs not worth having a Laggia or Dolkka or something like that, but summoning Zeus in MP2 is a pretty good option. Or same deal if you're forced to go second, and your opponent doesn't die Also thanks for watching
Unsearchable in the deck, BUT that being said it's not necessarily a bad card for shuffling back Misc. I might put that in my deck from now on until we get Misc back to 2 or 3. Thanks for the recommendation
@@ERBLOTTO True, I didn't think of that. That makes this remarkably better. Definitely worth doing, again pretty much only we get Misc back to 2 or 3. Then that problem is basically non-existant
@@stupidwebYGO you can make the granite with scrap chimera and giant rex, detach the rex and search for it. After that you can use a scrap raptor and the keystone to make mat beast. Also, you can banish the rex and keystone with the pill; as you know, rex summons itself back and you can use it to make savage, but keystone comes back in the end phase giving you food for tyranno on your opponent’s turn
It'd be good with Xeno Meteorus to make Synchro 10's, but if we're talking strictly in-archetype/deck, Frosto can make Synchro 12's and xyz 6's. Personally I prefer use of Frosto than Megalo. Appreciate you watching the video, though
The fact that the fieldspell can destroy cards from your deck is so dumb. It just shouldn't say destroy... Classic konami custom card smh. Yugioh is so broken

@@stupidwebYGOI believe you’re thinking of Dark Matter Dragon

DINO BEST DECK!! Appreciate you enjoying the video.
Could you make an update with the the new support in animation chronicles and duelist nexus? Would you add the kaitoptera or the new Rex raptor cards?
I'm going to do an updated decklist for Wild Survivors and then I think I'm also going to do one when cards like those are released in the TCG, until then they're not particularly relevant
can you do like what boards to do against what decks?
Also in yourt first hand how do you normal summon OVI the first turn andn the later normal summon chimera
In that first hand I messed up and didn't use Raptor's effect. Normally Raptor gives you a second normal summon for a scrap monster
Oh yeah. That's something I love about Dino, and any time I go to a tournament, I make sure to put him in the side deck just for fun
Also, something I think about a lot is with the new Transcendasaurus Drillygnathus, you can summon Misc back from the banished zone, so you actually can use Misc's effect like that on Turn 3
Dino, mure, beatdown, calamity, scrap, rescue rabbit (old or new version just release) etc ...
Yeah, i didn't have the time to include all the versions of the deck through history, just what I believe to be the general main deck plus my personal choices
Autoplay brought me here but i'm not opposed to picking up a WISU low cost Dino deck.
That's the idea. Even before WISU, the main core of the deck has been reprinted a few times, so the deck was never terribly expensive, but I'm glad that more people are picking up dino now that it's all in one place
Bro some of these cards need to be in dual links I love dinosaurs bro come on
They do seriously
how would you summon zeus with
this deck?
Generally it's for the sake of turn 3, if your opponent doesn't die, it's probs not worth having a Laggia or Dolkka or something like that, but summoning Zeus in MP2 is a pretty good option. Or same deal if you're forced to go second, and your opponent doesn't die
Also thanks for watching

ever thought about using nemeses keystone?
Unsearchable in the deck, BUT that being said it's not necessarily a bad card for shuffling back Misc. I might put that in my deck from now on until we get Misc back to 2 or 3. Thanks for the recommendation
@@stupidwebYGO its serchable rank 4 gallant granite
No I dont want to play dino
Well that's unfortunate

Megalosmasher X > Frostosaurus 😎
It'd be good with Xeno Meteorus to make Synchro 10's, but if we're talking strictly in-archetype/deck, Frosto can make Synchro 12's and xyz 6's. Personally I prefer use of Frosto than Megalo. Appreciate you watching the video, though

The fact that the fieldspell can destroy cards from your deck is so dumb. It just shouldn't say destroy... Classic konami custom card smh. Yugioh is so broken
The card was designed to interact the way it does. It's meant to say destroy. Even with that, it doesn't do half of what some modern field spells do
