This is not just the best 1000 Trails campground we have been to, but one of the best overall campgrounds we have been to. This park is laid out more like a state park with full hookups. We spent 20 days here and did not want to leave when our time was up. Needless to say we will be back. Hope you enjoy the tour of the campground. I am so thankful that you found a Thousand Trails campsite that you like, I was starting to get worried. This was pretty nice, but.... that hot tub killed it for me, LOL. The cost of the washer and dryer, and that they take cards is very impressive. And finally, a maintained mini golf course, WOO. I think we need just a quick, short video, of you hitting the Dragon Punch.
Yeah we have had 2 of our last 3 be good. Liking that trend. Hoping it continues. They really are hit and miss though. Yeah the hot tub would have been nice. Pretty cheap to was cloths here. I always like when they take CC's. Yep the mini golf was on. lol. If I was still there I would do that video for you. I loved the game room. I am old and like that stuff. lol

Hello my friend. Thank you for the review! I love that there is an AT&T cell tower right there! Thanks for the tip about that gate entry point. Love the dog park. Great review. I have never seen an outdoor theater like that before. That bridge over that "pond" is amazing! Love the big spaces. Thousand Trails, in general, is so beautiful and getting to stay 'free' (technically) is very comforting.
Thanks for watching the video and that crazy commercial. lol I am with you. I love good internet. Very important. This park was laid very well and we enjoyed pretty much all of it. The bridge was great. My little pup loved bridges. We are about at break even on our TT membership. It really does help overall. It has it bad parks but overall we are happy to have it being full time.
That really is a pretty TT, and the lots are nice and big. That was a great review, that park checks off all the boxes. It does look like a state park and that cell tower is definitely a plus. You're correct, and I learned this from you. Call the ranger station! I don't like the check-in, check out time staggered because it's never in your favor. I feel we pay for 24 hour use. I don't want to check in and have to leave before my 24 hours is up. 1pm check in and 11 am check out. What's not to like about having the cell tower so close by? Very cool! " and that high scoring you see there........ is not mine!" LOL. I agree it's a huge pond. Not much of a lake. Wow, love the space you had at your campsite. Sweet! Overall, a very nice park. Hello Bob, I was just typing to your wife. lol. Yep the ranger station is the way to go. Yeah the check in and outs are tricky. Plus all of them are different on how they do it. It would be nice to have a standard. The cell tower is very cool. We loved that. I tried but could not break that score. I am really weak. lol. Yep on the pond. Not a lake to me at all. You stay at a lot of Thousand trails. How did I miss this, I thought I was caught up. cell tower? You pointed at a road sign 🤔 Guard shack? What are they guarding? Nice big parking area. I can definitely see the advantage to thousand trails when you full time. I actually had this weekend open up then completely forgot that the meetup was this weekend and told a friend I would drag the camper way back down a gravel road in the TN mountains this weekend.

That one really does look nice. The trees are great. Did you get to test out the solar system with all that shade. I think camping there would definitely be a bit more like a state park, with all the goodies of course. Good walking review. I could see it clearly.

Very thorough review of forest lake. We agree, the most “state park like” TT park, I’d say it was 90 percent annual residents, but most were in well maintained rigs. The nicest sites go to the annual people. We definitely would come back to forest lake, as long as William is not there, haha.
What's up Mr. Grimm? Thanks for watching buddy. Yeah this is one of the better TT parks so far. This is for sure one of the better maintained parks so far. Hope that stays that way. You are spot on. All the good sites get sold to long term. That is in all TT parks I think. We will be back at some point I think. Who knows. There are many more to see to. If we can get y'all back out of FL maybe we can all hook up out west.
Check out Snow Flower in Northern California, but it's an Encore if I remember correctly. It's VERY state park like.

Hey thanks for stopping by. We have heard this park is harder to get into. Larry and Alice got in though on their basic membership. I think a lot is based on timing. We do highly recommend anyone coming here. This place was nice and close to things to do. Hope y'all are enjoying your time on the road as well.
Looks like a great little doggie area. Do you ever see anyone play tennis when a campground has a court? I used to play tennis back before I was old LOL. Awesome arcade!!! Pool looks nice and clean. Hot tub doesn't look to good, though lol. Nice little lake! The cabins are super cute too. Showers looked pretty well maintained. I like that the sites aren't so close together in this one. Great review. So glad it wasn't like that last one.
The dog area is pretty nice. I never saw anyone using the tennis court and my fat butt was not going to. lol I use to as well. I like it but can't keep up now. The arcade was a blast. The pool was nice. We tend to not get in them though. Nothing on the pool just us. lol. Hot Tub was a let down. Might have tried that. So many good things about this park and yeah we needed it after the last park. lol Thanks for watching.

We really liked this one except for our broken window.
Yes. Ranger station is best way plus online to get your spot. I will never call the main number of TT ever again. What was cool was that they let us camp overnight in the parking lot because we came in around 1am. Darn Larry. Signal was pretty sweet. I took a pic in that cornfield across from the park 🤣. Larry had a hard time getting them out of the office to get an extra map 🤔 We never used any of the amenities. Only 3 washers? With tons of full timers? Weird. My favorite was the duck and geese pond. But don’t sit on the beach. Too much 💩 But with the trees and seeing deer, it was more like a state park compared to other TTs. They did mow when we were there but it was thick so I don’t think they mowed for a bit. You know you snuck in that ladies bathroom 🤣. That gravel sure makes noise when all those golf carts drive around. It was great hanging with you guys. Hope to see you again soon. And thanks for the the TT interview. You are the TT King 🤴 Alice
Thanks for watching Alice. Yeah the TT main number is awful. The ranger station is the way to go for sure. Larry want stop. lol. Smack him harder. hahaha. Just not in the head. He can't take much more there. Yes they did not want to come out about our window either. That was hard. If you road around the park they actually had more laundress around. We used a couple different one. The one thing we did notice is the one's in the full time areas are better for sure. Yep it did have its full timers. I am starting to see this theme at all private parks. I think they do that for money. Yeah the mowing I was told is an issue by several people living there. Ok did go into the ladies room. I have to look. lol. It was great hanging out with y'all as well. We will need to hook up again out west. The interview was fun. I really enjoyed doing it. Only the King of TT until Jessica gets me back in a house. After that with not being full time no more TT for me. lol

Love that they have a spot for people to park and wait before 12. So many people have started showing up earlier and earlier to get into a campground and it causes issues at times and then the guests get mad because they arrived early and we can’t put them in their spot since the other guests are still there. Looks like a nice park. So what was your high score on the punching game?!?
Hey y'all. I agree they even have a few spots to wait in with power and water if you need it. Having a good hold over spot I think helps a ton. On the punching game I think I got into the 8900's. So not even close. I am weak. lol. I love playing though. Look forward to seeing y'all later this week.

We stayed here a few years ago and really loved it, but our experience was a little different this time - not bad, just different. The first night we met up with you guys, that spot was horribly disgusting with the rotten persimmons (thanks Jess!) and gnats all over the site and then the whole night of them loudly dropping out of the tree was fun, lol. Last night's stay was a little better. The staff gestapo ensures that you check out at 11AM though, by the way. He stopped by the morning of (after y'all left telling us 'see you later') and we're literally hooked up and he's like, you're leaving, right? lol Anyway, overall it is one of the better ones for sure.
Well it is always different if you meet up with us. lol. I agree on your spot. Those persimmons are awful. Yeah the staff appears strict on check in/out times. I guess where so many people are coming in and out each day. That is funny on the guy thinking you are leaving when you are hooking up. lol. Maybe they where dropping a hint. lol. Anyway glad y'all are back with us now here.
While that place looks amazing. Once I get full time on the road I may have to check out 1000 trails

Is there a pet maximum I have quite a few dogs?
To my knowledge there is not. We had 3 and never heard anything about it. I think the biggest thing is just that a person picks up after them. I don’t think you will have an issue overall.
Any awesome restaurants nearby?
There are several mom and pops that are really good. Plus the food at the campground dinner was good as well. Hope this helps.

@@graceparsons5822 Hope y'all have a great time. It almost feels like a state park with full hookups. That was one of our favorite TT. There is an Encore just down the road called Lake Myers. That is not a good park. Just in case you are looking at it. I have a video on it as well. Wild place. Forest Lake however is one of the best.
