Anybody can go spend the money and buy a newer shiny and clean boat, but it won't have the craftsmanship or feel of a classic sailboat that you have worked on and brought it back up to better than new standards. As a American I have fallen in love with the foreign designed sailboats such as Dufour etc. They use space wisely and they're known to be built extremely tough
Ik heb een compleet set aluminium ramen over van mijn Dufour 31 die in de gaten passen van de kunststof originele ramen, eventueel ook een inbouwmal om op de plek van de originele Volvo een Vetus m3.29 in te bouwen
@@sailingsilverwind thanks! I’m going to look at a Dufour 31 today. I currently have a Catalina 22 that I am moving up from. The Dufour I’m looking at has been re-powered with a YanMar, so the engine should be solid. However, I’m far more familiar with outboards, and knowing that is an option gives me some comfort.
@@stelliform ah awesome! I have more videos also a short from the inside. 👍🏻👍🏻 Yes they replace the old engines regularly. Good luck! Have a double check at the deck, as it has many connections on it, who can fail and leak water.
@@sailingsilverwind yes it did. We took it on an awesome sail, the motor was solid, everything looked good. Hopefully, we will be finalizing the purchase Thursday!

How many horsepower was the outboard motor that you used?
The Yamaha F series outboard is a 8HP, high trust propeller
