I love how Ciro is backing up Conte here. Very touching, especially when he has Conte killed at the end of the episode.
Ciro has always played chess and not checkers..he's not backing conte because he's for Conte, he's doing it because it's the best play for the moment and also because Ciro never lets his enemy know what he is thinking.
@@jesus4lyfe00 I know, my post was being sarcastic when I said it was touching. Anyone who saw the first season knows Ciro is the biggest SNAKE even if he is mine and nearly everyone else's favorite character.

@@jesus4lyfe00 It`s always funny when people realy belive that some of them have morals or empathy. They are all narcissists, sosiopaths,Machiavellians, killers, liars,theifs. And they all end up dead or in jail, or see all the people they count on like friends or family get murderd or injured. They all belive that they will " out smart the game", but they never do. And people who watch the show may project their fantasy of beeing a " bad boy " or a " hero" on them. But it`s all just a mirage. As you say they are all snakes

Have you noticed how Don Pietro started to attack the alliance only after Conte was killed? Although he'd probably rather have died of a cancer of the eyes than admit it, Pietro knew he had found his match in terms of leadership and charisma in Conte.
Yes. He knew that with Conte's leadership he had a problem because even if the people under him were angered towards his behaviour, they had no choice but defend him as he was the main supplier for drugs. Just after the death of Conte, Don Pietro knew that it was just a matter of feeding rage inside the leaders in the alliance (Divide Et Impera) which wasn't that hard, especially with Scianel that was the easiest one to go berserk.
@Indra Deus he did and sooner or later but he failed.. Btw it is impossible to get rid of Ciro as he is important character in the series given the title "The Immortal"
@Indra Deus you just knew when Ciro complied with Don Conte, Ciro was already planning Conte's murder. Ciro is way too methodical and brutal to pass up an opportunity like that.

@@daniel_007 They shared the most interesting rivalry. Both are calculating men and master tacticians. Don Pietro had a more brutal "scorched earth" strategy and Conte seemed to have a more disciplined and exploitative approach which made him so charismatic.
The woman in this clip was a great character.
Not really a smart one tho. Scianel was the easiest to go berserk, and was underestimating the consequences of her choices, like allowing her son Lelluccio to marry the wrong girl (that caused, directly or indirectly, the actions that led to both their deaths), and giving to her son the spot that was going to the Vicolo guys (which, of course, were very angered and plotted to kill both of them)
