Besides all that you even have a growing scene of terrific Jazz and R&b musicians, artist that enrich the whole melodic and harmonic saga that was started 50 years ago. Sometimes too nostalgic but allot of times really progressive. Just adding to what was good about the 70's and losing what was a gimmick in the later years. Just good music.

check their bios and discogs and you'll know why. they're both musicians with various projects [especially Kody] on the go, both busy with their own stuff and lives. they indeed WERE in the same band long ago but apparently they needed a break and do/make/create something else/new
Yeah I know mate, I just get the impression that Kody hasn't been that active like Ruban has. I'm just curious about how it happened at this timing. I would need to find a segment where they're talking about the transition of their brothership :)
@@rikaokay Kody kind of never stopped with music though his wife Bic Runga had a lot of prominence with her music. Kody has been making music and playing shows under multiple different names for many years and also scoring films. At the time that Ruban and Kody broke up you have to remember they were known for burning their instruments on stage, destroying the stage with chainsaws and hanging on scaffolding 40 feet in the air upside down while performing and also having really bad fist fights on stage. They clashed like a mofo back then. They have changed a ton in 10 years.
