Ok this explains why I was garbage at flares when I was growing up there was no UA-cam and nobody ever mentioned to me that I should be doing Bruce lee levels of working out my hip flexors.
@@bboyfada2295 I'm very far from the split at the moment but I can do the move, so you don't really need that, but increasing your pancake mobility a bit could still help :)
@@KaioFalcrow I just think that stradle position is the one not letting me do the flares. That lifting your legs transition to planche position is the one causing my problems.
Hi Dear. I'm trying to your workout moves. I have a question! Can I make this dance because I'm 40 years old? I'm making the moves everyday. I started the power practices 1 month ago. Thanks your arts.
This is a good beginner tutorial, but it doesn't help me. All of these help the front end of the flare, when my problem is pressing my hand down hard enough to lift my lower body while my legs go behind me. That one act of pressing the hand and lifting the hips is where I'm stuck. Everything else is easy.
thanks! yes exactly, this video is focusing more on the front part of the flare :) In this other video I specifically focus on the back part of the flare: ua-cam.com/video/KjBUZrImJoE/v-deo.htmlsi=J8ds8j9bU6h7zgmY I would also recommend to add some presses to handstand or even straddle to handstand if possible
It’s been about a month of doing ur flare workouts n Iam able to do one rough rotation but only while Iam wearing socks and Iam on a slippery floor .. my question is how long did it take for u to b able to do flares on the carpet bc wen I try to do them on the carpet it’s back to square one :(
It’s totally normal! :) ..For the first months I always practiced Flares on slippery floors, I never really practiced on carpets. But my Flare started becoming decent after around 3 months. It can be very subjective, everyone is different
Most of people who can do Flares, can hold an L-sit for at least 5 seconda or a bit more.. not a V-sit.. but if you learn these exercises the Flare would be a peace of cake 😋
If you need more help to learn the Flare, check out the guide I made about it: ko-fi.com/s/bc91caae00
In just three weeks I was able to start doing flares thank you.... From watching a lot of your videos
welcome! :) I'm happy to read that!
How much time per week did you spend learning it? Did you learn from scratch?
I practiced for a few years and never got past 3/4 rotation.
and another 2 years for a perfect 2nd round😂

Haha :)) yeah Flare relies a lot on hips flexors strength and shoulders strength as well
Sport specific exercises for breakdancing. I love it.

With consistency these workouts have helped me with my leg control, especially from windmills into flare
Amazing! I’m happy about that! :)

What about the back side? Any excercises for the glutes?
You don’t need them too much in Flares, these exercise are enough :)
i was needing these tips for these exercises! Any tips for building strength to lift the l sit or like the half straddle ect?
I will make a video about this :) anyways, I recommend checking out Sid Paulson videos about the L-sit, they are really well made :)
@@KaioFalcrow Appreciate the response and the information i will check it out and wait to see what more you post!
@@KaioFalcrow Kaio, why you don’t have a Calistenia playlist on your channel? 👊
Damn. This is no joke but I will start slow and never stop. Thanks for sharing.

How long should I rest between sets?
@@SeaniMonsta 2 to 3 minutes. If it’s too heavy, you can rest a little more, if it’s too easy you can rest less, even 1 minute :)
Can I do this if I can do straddle planche or full planche?
of course :)
How long can you make a Flare ?
It depends from person to person, it can take 1 day or 1 year :)
@@KaioFalcrow thanks so much 🤜🤛

Oh I forgot to ask you… about how many rotations would u do each day while u were training to do the flare before you were good at it?
i cant do it i cant lift my body
it's normal at first, I also made the beginner version for these exercises, the link is in the video description :)
It’s a given anyone with flares can do the L-sit and V-sit ones? Those look too advanced, even for people who have flares
