First, it's always recommended to use green automotive tape, not blue which is meant for walls. If you have any chips in the paint, the blue tape can actually peel the paint off your car. For better results, you want to use a headlight polish compound after you finish sanding to help clear up the headlights before you add the clear coat. Clear coat spray is better than wipes, but I understand that kit only gives you wipes. A pretty good result for a kit. A proper restoration takes more steps and technique.
