I know tattoos aren't considered "taboo" anymore, and I know there are already tons of videos about them. However I think people (myself included) would be really interested to see yours, and the story behind them. I myself have a ton, but I still like to share the stories behind them with others, tattooed or not.

I like the way you read tarot I've always dabbled in it but I never memorized the books that came with it so it felt odd doing a spread then having to flip through a book. I'm going to try it your way it sounds way more organic, natural. Thank you!
With respect to both you and Allison both, I want to throw my two cents in...
I think there is value to the concept of *adding* your interpretation of the pictures meanings to the traditional meaning of the card- but I would definitely not take that advice about throwing away the book. If she means "booklet" (as in the little piece of paper that is stuck in the box, usually with just a sentence or a few words per card, then sure, that's just a quick reference and can be helpful if you already know the cards but need a quick reminder, but is often too short and glib to mean much). But there are book/card sets where the artist has worked very hard to incorporate the traditional meaning of the card, their own personal ideas on the topic, what they've learned through others and through self-reflection...and they try to show this pictorially and graphically on the card, yes, but often they go into great depth in the book, and often have good insights. The practitioners interpretations can vary quite a bit from deck to deck, but usually are generally based on the same themes - and part of the joy of it is learning from others and THEN putting your own spin on it...
For what its worth, my advice is to get a good book set that you resonate with and study that (like maybe Sacred Circle, or Wildwood, or something with art you connect with) that has a 150+ page book with it, and just practice with yourself for a while (and most people don't mind if you want to read to them out of a book, unless maybe you're trying to do it for money.) It just my opinion, and of course do what you think is right, but honestly I kind of cringed when she suggested just looking at the pictures and going with what you feel. Lots of people do that AFTER they have learned what the traditional meanings are, and are looking to meditate deeper on the topic (and I can tell that Allison has already looked at books on tarot) - I just don't feel like it's good advice for a beginner. I mean, I guess you could just look at the pictures and make up your own thing, and I'm sure it can have some value but... I wouldn't call what you'd be doing "reading tarot cards." I just feel like it would be a huge loss to not at least give a good, decent book on the topic a shot.
I hope this comes across as coming from a place of caring, not judging - I'm not always the best at tone... but I do wish you best of luck
Kelly Fishbeck I don't plan on throwing out anything, I wouldn't do that. I have a deck that I have connected with however the book that came with is very large and different from other decks I have used. I still look through the book when doing anything I merely wanted to try a different way of looking at the cards for my own personal study. In my many years of practicing I unfortunately have never had a deck that I clicked with until now so I haven't had the opportunity to dig deeper into more than reading books and dabbling here and there. A lot of the books I have read have not all said the same thing so on my journey I'm cant discount other ways of doing it until I have studied further. Thank you for your input.

In response to the idea of you doing a tattoo video I believe you should. I don't think people are interested because it's taboo or poorly thought of, but because most people with tattoos get ones that represent them or have personal meaning. So people learning about your tattoos is in a sense your subscribers leaning about you.

Funny enough, I was born in/ spent my summers with family in Oklahoma and in the video you sent of you doing my reading you said you felt like you knew me somehow. I think a video on your tattoos is a great idea. Most people get tattoos because they want to permanently memorialize something on their body, or because the theme of the tattoo has a very special meaning to them. Showing us your tattoos and telling us the backstory about them (the why, when, and how you got them) would be just another way to let us in on your life in general. I have six tattoos and every one of them has a very special meaning to me. If you decide to do the video, I would love to see your tattoos in the order you got them (first to last), hear the backstories, then let us know which one is your favourite of them all and why. So no need to feel "cringey", LOL. It would just be another way of letting us into your life like you've been doing since day one. :) So please share! :)

I do somewhat what you do with tarot. I keep the book and read it but then I throw my own interpretation in it, I read the picture as well though too
Hey I know you said that you wanted to move to Europe, but I wanted to suggest maybe moving to canada cause there are sections in each provinces where most homes are in the woods ( one of the things you wanted ) the further you go north or in provinces like alberta, British Columbia, ontario, etc....
But honestly its really up to you guys.
Imortal Queen Yeah, Canada would be cool! There's still a lot of unspoilt nature (compared to Europe) and the climate on the west coast is more pleasant than the climate here in Middle Europe. I also think Canadians are more open-minded and liberal than Europeans.
