„The more you love God, the more you going to overflow with love to others.“ Amen! Thank you for these great series. „Abide in my love“(John 15,9)

Thank you soo much for your precious time as you so excellently perform this "surgery" on the scripture! I will pray for you, your loved ones, your entire ministry & all those who love & obey OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST! "And so we know and rely on the love GOD has for us. GOD is love. Whoever lives in Love lives in GOD, and GOD in them."(1John 4:16)

I'm so disappointed. Initially I thought this was great. Then I saw vs 9 in context of 10 & 11 and it really sadly dawned on me that what Mr Lawson said is a fantastic general truth but doesn't appear to be what the verse is saying?

I'm so confused on why you're confused brother? Are you sure you read Phillipians 1:9-11? perhaps you read a seperate book, because exegetically Dr. Lawson pointed out Paul using Love as a centerpiece, and thats exactly whats happening. v10 and v11 explain the purpose of the love, and fruit coming from it.

@@RenewedFeed Like you, I initially thought it was brilliant. However, as I continued to think about it throughout that day I couldn’t reconcile what he said with verses 10-11 (thus assuring you that I did read the right book!). It seems to me that Paul wasn't so much referring to love towards others but perhaps (& please forgive me for maybe not agreeing with you) he was meaning our love for God. Because the result will be that we will be able to approve what is excellent (have renewed minds) & know what is the right thing to do in any given situation so that we might be pure and blameless.
I think what Mr Lawson said was excellent if you were just doing a word study and do as he did, just focused on verse 9. But, I just watched it again and there was no mention of verses 10-11, which I genuinely think would have been helpful, at least for me anyway.
I hooe this makes sense? Anyway, I don't feel so confused now. I think the following video by John Piper explains what I'm trying to say far better than my attempt just now. God bless.

I think I see what you are saying, they got off the scripture pretty far with the questions. Pray God give you the revelation you’re needing…
