Once again Blackpool triumph at home over their near neighbours Fleetwood Town but every credit to 'The Cods' they gave everything and almost pulled it back to a draw only minutes after Shane Lavery missed a penalty to seal the game but their goal was disallowed for offside and deep into injury time Blackpool keeper Daniel Grimshaw pulled off a wonder save to ensure Blackpool finished the game with a hard fought 3 points and thus keeping their slender play-off hopes alive.

Loved the fans comments before the game - but I’m a huge fan of Critch
We loved him first time round but I've been a bit disappointed he hasn't figured out how to set us up differently away from home this season. However, I still feel there's a path forwards with Critchley so I hope he cracks it

Blackpool v Wigan ? Personally, I would like Fleetwood (Cod Army) to stay up. As a Wigan fan, I like these away days at Fleetwood, Bolton and Blackpool ! Yes, we do like to be beside the seaside !

I'd forgotten how many attacks Fleetwood had in the last few minutes alone. More than we have in several away games this season. As the late Queen would describe this campaign "Season Horribilis."
Yes it did feel like the Alamo at the end but if the blatant foul on CJ had been correctly adjudged to be a red card as it should have none of that would have happened IMHO

Enjoyable video as always. Not too thrilled by the victory because playoffs are out of reach. Although our position in the league may be respectable there have too many poor performances. By the time next season starts expect renewed optimism.
I've still not totally given up hope no matter how impossible it seems but yeah if we don't and we do some good business in the summer and that is a BIG IF then sure I will be as optimistic as I always am at the start of the new season
You’re older than me Lee and have been following pool for longer than I have of course so maybe you’ll be able to cast your mind back and help me answer this question, but can you ever remember a season where with a record like this so far, on for 70+ points, still in with a shout (albeit a slim one) of play offs where the mood around the fan base has been so negative? Atmosphere so flat at games and just a general moody feel throughout the season?? We’ve already won 19 games, and Critch for all the criticism he’s received, when you think about it must have the highest win percentage as a Blackpool manager since god knows when I’d love to hear the stats on that. I wonder why all that is?? For the record I have been very mythed with the away form this season which has been our major let down, home form however has been absolutely magnificent
No I've never known it Edwin although we really never expected much under the O's and yes Critch has a fantastic record I think most including memyself thought that we would bounce straight back up and our inconsistency has driven us crazy
@@LeeCharlesTV yes it has, I also thought we’d go back up or at least be firmly in the play offs, 3rd/4th or 5th but when you think about it, it was always going to be hard to get in the top 2 when teams like Bolton, derby, Pompey, Barnsley and posh were all pretty much nailed on to be competitive as well and will all have similar or bigger budgets than us and one or two definitely have more pulling power when it comes to signing good players. I do agree though we should’ve been right in there amongst them instead of lagging behind

Two goals in six games: we are nowhere near good enough. Our rivalries have always been PNE and Burnley (less so now), and Bolton. It's only a 'local rivalry' and 'derby' in the minds of FT fans. Saying that, Cambridge brought more fans than they did!
I would think that considerable changes are to come at BFC in the summer. Lots of players will leave, some that we might not want/expect to, but we should try to keep Coulson and Byers. It'll cost the owner some serious wedge to adequately upgrade the squad; we'll have to see if he is willing/able to do so.
Yes time will tell Charlie but I've not been too convinced with the recruitment policies during the summers so far

I was kinda hoping Fleetwood won and Critchley getting sacked next day …..never mind we will not get promoted this year anyways …
I do tend to think it would be a miracle such a shame we played so poorly at Wigan we could have been so in the mix and even more so if we'd have won at Burton, Port Vale and the rest, our away form has cost us a great chance hope they fix it for next season 🙏
