They did say that there would be other ways of obtaining it and what you mentioned is what I said below is what I think will happen and the reason why is like I said below that this new two star is stronger than Fervent Fang and Grim Rhythm. So it makes logical sense that they add it to the battle pass and possibly remove one of the other gems. After this addition I think that players will not want to use Fervent Fang anymore unless it is the one that is removed from the battle pass and added to the drop tables, crafting and tradeable at the marketplace. I think that this new two star gem will be craftable like it said for the limited time event that is still four weeks. Then after that we will no doubt see it added to the battle pass as one of the gems to choose from. Since it is stronger than Fervent Fang or Grim Rhythm. Then it is possible that either Fervent Fang or Grim Rhythm will be removed from the gem choices and added into the drop tables, craftable, and tradeable in the marketplace. I don't think that it is likely that Blizz will keep Fervent Fang and Grim Rhythm forever as one of the gem choices in the battle pass. Or they could bring both Fervent Fang and Grim Rhythm out of the battle pass where the only choices left for the battle pass is the new two star and pearls.
The gem thing, Im guessing they are trying new ways to stimulate monetisation. As for the Immo changes, CLEAR AS MUD. How do these people get paid for such shoddy communication and writing skills? I guess we will figure it out this weekend. But yes, it's not really advantageous per se for the Immos to allegedly better facilitate Blessed reigns. LOL. Basically Immos need to always be able to win 6 roe battles, if I'm understanding that shitty description correctly. But at week 4, Shadows need to win 5 as it stands now. So weaker Immos will get shorter reigns, since the change is for 4 shadowwins at week 4,which makes it harder for Immos to progress. Or the leadership who make up teams need to better figure out WTF they are doing earlier in week 4. My Immo clan only won 6 battles in week 4, so if I am understanding this correctly, which is a huge if, that would have triggered the Challenge of the Immortal, and probably the end of the reign. No win trading BS on my server cluster, tho there is ample nepotism and favoritism within the Immo alliances. I've never seen it as bad as this particular reign before.

@MrGilfred game is a bit too old to add more time gated BP only gems and probably another bad decision from the devs.
They lowered that for Immos - on some servers it is impossible to get Blessed Reign now
The timeline they have to get the new gem to rank 10 is absolutely frustrating.
@@Chachamaru919 makes it bad for all players new and old
I think it's 43 copies for a max rank 10 2-star gem. Are they fucking nuts to only have it available for a couple of weeks?
yes.
