- Running is more than just reaching out and pulling yourself forward. Don't make the same mistake I made when I became a pro runner and over stride!
Doing so can lead to injuries and pain, so make sure to monitor your strides and stay healthy while on the run!

First class content. Your shorts on running technique could easily replace hundreds of lengthy videos about running 😎👍
Indeed
I’m 5ft tall so when I first learned this and adjusted my stride I felt like I was taking little tiny baby steps. But, I got less tired and eventually got faster and can run more miles. “Lots of little steps” is my inner mantra!
Adorable little steps at the adorable range of 4'9 to 5'3, nice, that is a lot of heart stopping power as onlookers gush in adoring the littleness 😅
I'm highly impressed! You took great advice, used self-discipline, trust in yourself, and as a result, had major success!
Such a common mistake runner's make... brillaint video on how to run correctly!!.. top class once again Chari..
Literally fixed my running. Thank you very much
It always surprises me how many runners and even coaches know that there is an ideal form to every other sport but just act like you are born with perfect form in running. Thanks for educating us
I don’t even like running but I’m subscribed because she’s really good at teaching. All the body mechanics that she’s explaining makes so much sense. I’ve been doing exactly what she’s been saying about overstriding
Yes! Completely changed my running.
I really love channels with added value. And this one is a perfect example. You explain everything in such a beautiful way, and you show the proper way to do things. And you're excited when talking about running. I really appreciate you and what you do. Thank you!
Thank you 🙏 all your advice has helped me enjoy my runs more 😊
Thank you for your advice, I noticed an immediate and significant difference in comfort, speed and how long I could run for today ❤
Your stuff is so good and clarifying. Keep sharing pls. ❤
Thank you! Will do!
Your vids have helped me become a better runner 10 fold. Thank you!
Thank you for this!
I've found this helpful in my everyday life.
I run on roads mostly but your videos on technique are still helpful to me. Foot strike Armswing. Etc.
I wish you were my track coach when I competed! This is sound advice. Thank you for your tips. ❤
Literally fixed my running. Thank you🎉
You're welcome!
Amazing you make it seem so doable. I hate running, but you have reinvigorated my desire to try running 🏃♂️ again 😊
Awesome tip, Chari (as always), and thank YOU so much for sharing this! What an INCREDIBLE explanation (and demo) of over striding and negative foot strike! We are SO very fortunate to have YOU teaching us! YOU have an AMAZING day!
I love your tips.really enlightening!😎👍
When I start wachting your videos, I didntr like them, now after wacht many others. I just can said I was wrong, you are the best teacher, Congrads. I am 53, and learning to run Felicidades desde Mexico
Chari…👋🏻🇮🇹… great show as always n thank you for taking time to teach everyone how to run n become a successful runner….👊🏻🇮🇹
Seems this is your MAIN Message. Thank you !
Thank you so much. 💙👍
Would have helped a lot if someone was there to teach me when I was in school, I used to run well, but I didn't have any proper technique. Will definitely implement these for my leisure runs now.
I have an over stride problem! Video on negative foot strike with more of a side angle would be great!
Best channel I have subscribed this year in preparation to my first marathon.
Hyperion max 🔥🔥🔥
Also great content!!! 😊
This will make the lives of millions of people better
I gave up running years ago because of persistent knee and foot problems. You almost make me want to try again
I love that thank you so much!!!
I'm glad you like it
I joined a training camp for my upcoming State Sub Inspector physical exam. Today is 2nd day, an d my leg from thighs to foot is hurting so bad that i dont wanna walk.
Your videos are very helpful ❤
getting tips from a pro runner. Technology, what a time to be alive.
I'm a age group triathlete M70 and I watch your videos and shorts beside of Brad Kearns and I must confess that my running technic increases day by day and I run easy faster and without getting exhausted and injurid. It was hard to learn the A- and B-skips but now they become routine. Go on like that and thanks for your good work and advices...(Y)
That is precisely what people don't (want) to understand as overstriding is more aproachable for the lazy runner. This + stop buying heavy-heel cushioned-high drop shoes, and go for good cushioned but lighter and low drop ones, that would help you develop a good stride.
Thank you for all your tips. It has been very helpful.
This is awesome 👌
I am currently only able to run in reverse because i find it very relaxing for my knees and feet. I started with reverse walks but i find it comfortable to even run very fast in reverse 😂. I am in so much knee pain if i do forward running. Hopefully your tip of striking mid foot and cushioning and pushing forward should help me run again without knee pain. Thank you
Keep up the great work!! 🙌🙌
🥰 Sound advice from a goddess
Which I had this info when I started running 17 years ago. I had a lot of injuries. But it does help now to not over stride
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Yes, I am proof of over striding. 2 meniscus tears in high school.
Thx young Michelle Pfeiffer!😊
Short but 100%, I ❤ it
Love it!
This chick is great. I have used her tips. I was over striding for my whole life and never knew any better.
Hearing this I’m a little more motivated to run. Different ways of exercising bring about different ways of thinking.
You are looking very so good.😘All the best for the next movement god bless you 🤍🔱
Thank you so much
You really helped to change my form while running I’m not there yet but now I try my best to strike Under my hips and land my midfoot thank you
6 decades and I am just hearing this.
I love running barefoot on grassy/ muddy terrain. The more soggy and difficult the terrain, I find the more it triggers high knee lift and proper push-off. I equally love track running because it's so clean but you have got to have variation.
Your video is very helpful 🎉
I honestly had no idea of this. I've never had a coach who pointed this out. Not once in many years of running.
Good info.
I need a demo of the difference. Especially what the negative foot strike looks like from the side. Links or part 2??
Great videos
I understand the concept but don't know how to practice, more tips on that please.
interesting channel; I almost discovered it
I run first marathon next month in Vienna (probably between 03:30:00-03:20:00) and after that i must try these tips
Thank you, I'll focus on that....
Today I learned how to run 🔥🔥🔥
High quality content. Thanks.
You keep saying this in your videos, would be helpful to share some exercises and drills that help with this. How does someone go about fixing it?
True that 👍🏻🙏🏻
Totally agree
NYC u r right ❤
You are so good, trying to learn the technique. I feel
Like because I am so
Short and slow runner is more difficult to execute… any tips. Thank you
Could you make a video on how to run more efficiently and efficiently on a gym treadmill. I don’t think most of us have the luxury to out door space like that. Thanks
Great idea!
OK. Noted with thanks. Nice
👌👌👌
Ooh. This is probably why I injured my achilles
... and it makes SOOOOOOOO much faster than heel striking!!
Good to know
I sid this in one of her other video i dont know what she means with not taking big steps like when u run u have to take big steps but when u jog run with ur paws it will be easy and jogging is half the speed of ur running speed for those who dont know
The best way to not overstrain while running is to not run. Swimming is much better for us. Or walking/hiking
Pretty sure I learned the stride from B skips. A long time ago, but I have very long extremities compared to my torso.
You Are good trainer and sooo beautiful as well❤
Please make a video about shoes you recommend!
Chari, I love your videos. Which kind of Brooks do you recommend? thanks and greetings from Spain
Brooks must be the sponsor 😅
I am from India. I watch your every video. I love you video and you infinitely. I heartily request you can you give me training
how your shoes looks new /clean always
THANKS 🙏 From me in Denmark
❤
I want to be a professional runner.
🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Nice video
Beldade ❤❤❤❤
Nice looking shoes...what are they called?
Ma'am please explain ABC EXCERCISE
I thought your stride was the distance between each foot landing as opposed to how far you travel with a foot on ground. Would thay not be your form? It maybe different walking as you have 2 feet on the ground.
I got my calf muscles stuck while running and skipping what to do
♥️♥️
How is that when accending and or decending most of the run? (Only way way to find out ;) )
😊❤🥇
Are you able to apply these skills to a treadmill?
I have a question I am a slim girl. I don't want to lose weight so will running benefit me getting stronger?
If it's right under you wouldn't you just be running on the spot?
I don't really know what the midfoot is, is it just some place between the ball and heel? Are you landing on both the ball and heel at the same time?
Hey can you suggest what shoes to use especially for people with shin splints
