It makes sense why 1 Carol lied to Ash about her husband Ed taking Sophia to France because she possible believed that Ash wouldn't help her because she is a Stranger to him and 2 I believe that the reason why Carol was having Hallucinations about Sophia walking out of possible Herschel's barn as a walker is because she knows that back in season 2 of The main show when Sophia was still missing Daryl never gave up looking for Sophia so carol seeing Sophia walking out of Herschel's barn as a walker will give her more confidence that she will find him no matter how big France is and no matter how long it takes her
even though lying about her daughter is really extreme, it totally fits carol. she has ALWAYS been a character who lies or plays a role to fit into any situation. it’s a big part of how she’s been able to survive this long. overall, i loved this episode and can’t wait for the rest of this season!
In s10 Daryl says it himself, theyve been suriving one fight to the next, so it makes sense that when the fighting DOES stop and it gets quiet the grief you didn't have time to proces and resolve will come back as it clearly did for Carol
I really hope Ash lasts longer than Nate did on TOWL…I like his character. I was also super shocked Carol lied about Sophia, makes me feel bad about Ash doing this crazy thing to help her. 😅
Me too. I wish she didn’t lie about that. Because they are becoming friends and I think they could had been there for each other because their store was so similar. With the way they lost there kids. I felt bad about her lying also.
An aspect of carol that’s unexplored is her guilt from losing many of her “kids,” not just Sophia but also Henry (and the girl from the jail she had to put down way back in S4). Would be cool if this show explored that
If Rick had returned home before Carol went looking for Daryl then Carol would’ve just went home because she would know about the CRM’s access to helicopters right? So either that’s a huge writing mistake or the person she was talking about over the radio in season 1 of Daryl Dixon wasn’t Rick
a total brilliant episode and that Sofia scene got me again bringing back memories from those times . Good to see a good indian character Ash also appear being from indian descent myself
I feel like Ash would’ve had a little bit more security to last this long in his complex. Genet disappearing like Batman was also a little corny. Overall though, pretty good episode and I’m excited to find out more about Losang’s intentions with Laurent.
for real!! he sets up booby traps and trip wires outside his property but can't put a chain around his gate to keep it locked for when the power goes out which he knows happens often
This was a tough watch. It had a lot of Fear TWD type of moments. The Daryl stuff was really good minus the Genet disappearing magician act. The Carol stuff is where they completely lost me. Carol meets a stranger and in one day he agrees to fly her to another country. And how did Ash make it this long? Seems like he should have invested in a padlock before a generator. Hoping it gets better but as a person who has watched TWDU since season 1, I'm feeling like it may not be for me anymore.
Ye I agree.. it’s funny how convenient things happen now.. like carol just found out Daryl is in France and suddenly a plane fly’s overhead lol.. the writing and storylines seems so forced now.
They are fixing cars bc clearly they are a major resource/tool in a world where travel by foot is basically a death sentence, especially if you're alone. I feel like if Carol told the truth Ash still would've helped. To say your dead daughter is alive to guilt a man who himself dealt w/ the death of a child is diabolical 😆. He clearly is clinging onto the hope he thinks Carol has.
I'm down with this. I was definitely engaged and that's saying a lot in this day and age. Looking forward to having a weekly series again and I'm here for the deets. Hi all!

Hey Merri! Agreed, it made me realize how much I missed Carol. Ash will either die early or if he finds out Carol lied he will be super pissed for sure.
When Daryl goes to see Lo Sang, he and the others are practicing the art of Aikido. That is likely the reason he doesn’t want Laurent killing, even walkers. I thought immediately about Morgan, his stick, and his book, “The Art Of Peace”, and now wonder if Morgan is the one that Carol said returned in s1. I still hope it’s Rick but with the obvious nod to Morgan, I can’t help but wonder.
I really think what they should have done for the story is if Rick is really back, he would have talked to Carol. He could have had the CRM hook her up with a helicopter or a plane or something. Hello everyone. I came from the future. And ive seen the entire second season of daryl dixon. If anyone would like proof of this. I will answer one question on the coming up episode. I am not lying because i don't believe in lying to people. So feel free to ask away.
This season is going to suck. The focus will now be on Carol reuniting with Daryl. The focus will now be less on the French characters, the origin of the virus, etc. And now they're going to kill off the French female lead from last season? Give me a break. This absolutely sucks. These writers destroy every storyline they touch. I'm tempted to abandon the show.
The French female lead is the best character on this show, and more they're going to kill her. I also liked the religious angle from last season. They'll likely abandon that, too.
I watched last night on AMC+….I even checked before midnight and it was already up. I’m in Alaska so I watched around 11-11:30pm my time when I saw it posted but not sure how long it was already up for. So next week, I know I’ll be able to watch it late Saturday night instead of later on Sunday
Such a terrible episode, lazy writing just bad all around. And of course dude lasts almost 20 years perfectly fine until Carol shows up and his house is overrun by walkers and in flames. So typical. End this show already. I only watch because I’ve watched for so long. It’s like background noise now
9/10 and Great Episode and strong start to the new season. Full of Action, drama, and emotion.💯💯🙌🏾🙌🏾 Daryl Dixon Season 2 Theory: I think Losang & the union as secret villains and he was spotted having secret conversations with one of his fellow Nest members, who seemed even more untrustworthy than him. Between them, they made it clear Laurent is a part of their great plan. While the spinoff hasn’t revealed the duo’s true intentions just yet, Daryl Dixon seems to be setting them up as potential villains based on the first episode. 💯💯💯
Maybe this show is just too much for me. How was it an 8/10? It’s so unrealistic. How can Carol go into a shop with 10+ guys and doesn’t get taken out? It makes no sense.
Carol is such an unlikable character and this episode really amplified that. A villain who knows how to play a victim but she's with the "good guys" in the show
I'm mot getting attached to this Ash chartacter not falling for it. Just another person in Carol's life who can and will die at any time. Carol is cursed.

Soon we will have the answer to the question "who came back?" and if it was really Rick, why didn't Carol ask the CRM to take her to France?
I think Ezekiel got SICK...he probably died
Because she didn't know he was in France until she went to Maine looking for him.
Exactly! How come everyone thinks she knew before she knew? Also, is it really any MORE probable that she could convince the CR to take her to France?
If Rick had returned home before Carol went looking for Daryl then Carol would’ve just went home because she would know about the CRM’s access to helicopters right? So either that’s a huge writing mistake or the person she was talking about over the radio in season 1 of Daryl Dixon wasn’t Rick

Isabelle dying is just speculation. We don't know if she is going to die this season. She is a very good character agreed.
Carol is literally going to France...this gripe makes zero sense
TWD UNIVERSE IS BACK
Carol still lying I can see
How did you see it already?
The same way most watch it early, AMC plus
I watched last night on AMC+….I even checked before midnight and it was already up. I’m in Alaska so I watched around 11-11:30pm my time when I saw it posted but not sure how long it was already up for. So next week, I know I’ll be able to watch it late Saturday night instead of later on Sunday
AMC+
I saw it months ago at the film festival and last week at the roof top in NYC.. I also saw episode 2.. I got to see episode 1 and 2.. 👍🏼
The tape in the car Is ash
I'll say it again: Carol is evil and has been the main cause for 1000ths of deaths.
But she's MF cool and I love her.
Such a terrible episode, lazy writing just bad all around. And of course dude lasts almost 20 years perfectly fine until Carol shows up and his house is overrun by walkers and in flames. So typical. End this show already. I only watch because I’ve watched for so long. It’s like background noise now
Nailed it
This episode was extremely boring. 3/10. Awful.
9/10 and Great Episode and strong start to the new season. Full of Action, drama, and emotion.💯💯🙌🏾🙌🏾
Daryl Dixon Season 2 Theory: I think Losang & the union as secret villains and he was spotted having secret conversations with one of his fellow Nest members, who seemed even more untrustworthy than him. Between them, they made it clear Laurent is a part of their great plan.
While the spinoff hasn’t revealed the duo’s true intentions just yet, Daryl Dixon seems to be setting them up as potential villains based on the first episode. 💯💯💯
Bro watch show called From
Way better than the Twd
Watch that then this feels amateur asf
Thought From S2 chit the bed. Loved s1 though.
i hope they stop all this twd stuff soon
Maybe this show is just too much for me. How was it an 8/10? It’s so unrealistic. How can Carol go into a shop with 10+ guys and doesn’t get taken out? It makes no sense.
Shes a meek appearing woman and the men take in workers
It aired? Didn't even know
Carol is such an unlikable character and this episode really amplified that. A villain who knows how to play a victim but she's with the "good guys" in the show
i cant find it on amc plus
Me either???
yay
I'm mot getting attached to this Ash chartacter not falling for it. Just another person in Carol's life who can and will die at any time. Carol is cursed.
