Street racing in KC. In 1965 I drove to KC to visit a friend, and we joined a huge crowd watching street races down near the river. There were no barriers and no markings on the pavement. The lanes of the strip were actually formed by people in the crowd standing a few yards apart for the full quarter mile. As the cars raced down this narrow lane, door handle to door handle, you could actually see a ripple in the crowd on each side as people stepped back to make room for the cars to pass, and then stepped back in. Scariest thing I have ever seen at a a race. As far as I know, nobody was hurt that day.
Michael Montoya Spend some time in OKC and see what's real or fake. Just because it's edited for drama don't mean that the boys don't get down on real streets.
MW-15 , dude your high , that show is scripted completely, they run on permit roads that are street sweeped and prepped for the whole 660 feet , I have been to okc , look outlaw arm 2016 , see how many of your tv heroes that couldn't make it down the track cause their not street racers , their tv racers , period . take it with a grain of salt , it's for entertainment and I'm not saying it's not good tv , it's just not real . where I come from a street race car can drive anywhere , and real street racing to us is , pull up to a virgin road and do 1 burnout and get it on , that's it , no test passes no vht spread for 660 feet with Street sweepers and no discovery paid crews maintaining the road . don't believe everything you see on TV kid
Wow tell us how you really feel. I dont care about the show. What im saying is that these guys really do get down on random streets. And if you were trying to put that much power to the street youd need vht too.
MW-15 , yes, vht for a burnout , that's it , these guys take it much further than that , take this vid for instance. these cars in this race are half as powerful as okcs least powerful car and their slipping and sliding all over the place , that's because this is real street , with real street racers ,
Nice. Reminiscent of the early editing of 1320 video filming the Dallas vs OKC OG cash days. Thanks for keeping it real, and not cluttering it up.
That Firebird destroyed everyone! He's got the street setup figured out!
It's quite strong out of the whole!!
that little s-10 truck was quick as well.
Skinnies + Firebird+Beater bomb= good show! Make it happen!
