Very informative. Talk about GRE subject being mandatory. Biology was scrapped by ETS. 2. What's the probability of success having been called for interview?
Hi. It was a really helpful video. As you mentioned you were asked about organic chemistry and molecular biology, could you please tell me what in specific were you asked? Also, it is a formal or an informal discussion during lunch with staff and students, and is there anything, in particular, we should prepare for that.
Hi Ishita, You are asked about those topics in your Science Interview, which is a semi-formal conversation-style interview where you discuss these topics. It is not an oral exam by any means. It's hard to predict the style of the questions, though. You will also have an informal lunch with staff and students where you can ask them about the program, if they are enjoying it, etc. Thanks for your comment!
Can you please tell about masters in other life science majors also like I'm doing my bachelor's in microbiology. So I'm want to about the job market of microbiology. please do a video on that.
Hi, I think you should be able to study biotechnology after studying physics, but I would confirm this by contacting the program. You will need to know molecular biology in order to understand the content in the program. It is hard for me to make an accurate comment on the job opportunities, it depends on the company and the products in their portfolio. Thanks for your comment!
Hello, my name is Filip Gagacev and I am interested in applying for the mbiotech program at UtM. I am finding your videos on youtube very helpful and informative, thank you very much for sharing them. I have an additional question though. I am about to enter my 4th year of bachelor of medical science program at Western University, and have to decide between doing a thesis (that may be published) next year or not doing one. The upside of not doing one is that my courseload would be lighter allowing me to achieve higher grades. Do you think that the publication I would get from the thesis makes the thesis worth doing?
Hi Filip! I don't think that being published would make a significant impact on your eligiblity for this program, since this program is specifically intended for people with science backgrounds who want to go into business. I would say that your grades are more important for obtaining an interview and acceptance to the program. However, you have to consider all your other post-graduate options, as well, since I assume that M.Biotech is one of many options you might be looking at! Thanks for your comment!
Will a Skype interview be better or a proper in person interview for international applicants? Will international students be at a disadvantage if they choose to go for Skype interview?
@@paulstiles4022 Hi Michael, I do believe that virtual interviews are permitted for international applications. However, to be absolutely sure, I would recommend asking the program directly via email: mbiotech@utoronto.ca

There are scholarships that you can apply for, yes. I remember a few students from my class being awarded scholarships at the beginning of the program.
Hi Akram, I am not too knowledgable about civil engineering in Canada and so I am not confident in making a detailed video on the industry or its scope. Sorry about that!
I am an international student i am interested to study Masters in biotechnology in university of toronto. So can you know any full time scholarship or any stipend or any scholarship?
Hi Loga, I am not certain which scholarships or stipends are available for the program. To get the most accurate answer, I would email the program for more information!
