I just can't believe how beautiful your property has become since you purchased it. It exudes all the care and love you two have poured into. Congratulations. Can't wait to see more renovations.
Y’all should be so proud of bringing your vision to life. I’ve been watching from the start and it turned out just exactly right. Can’t wait for the next phase
As always, I am in awe of your style and taste, both clothing- and interior-related. I wish I had that in me, but I am not even able to copy it somehow. It seems simple but is not easy.
Love love love it! A beautiful marble topped small round side table beside that couch would go so well to tie in with everything else and allow you a place to put down any tools !
Yes I may add a table in future but as always I don’t go and buy things for the sake of it so most spaces in the house aren’t completely finished because I haven’t found the right pieces x
Greetings from Bolton, tell your Mum Hi from Jane , she hasn't changed a bit and reminded me of Auntie Doreen. Your Grandma would be so proud of you and your beautiful house, you we're always the first she spoke about, our last conversation was about your doggie boutique. Only realised it was you when your mum popped up on a vid ha x
We do have a full home tour planned for July (I believe) although the pool room won't have been finished by then but the garden will be finished and we would love to include that so are holding off for the moment. 👍
It looks fantastic! Love the railings! So cool and contemporary, but still classic. Looks like The B’s approve! 😊 Amazing job, Emma and Simon, as always.
You two are perfectionists! I love your attention to detail and to things well done. Also, the video is very well filmed throughout the explanations. Keep it up!
So lovely, serene and restful on the eye. Love the black stair rails. I hadn't heard of the term colour drenching, but all of my favourite holiday let's I've stayed in i noticed employ this technique and being by the sea also make the whole house seem bright, airy and cohesive. I've started to do the same in my house ( small terrace ) and I absolutely love the transformation, I've used an off white in a hard wearing finish and everywhere looks so airy and restful. It helps my brain feel calm and less distracted ❤
Emma and Simon, this turned out wonderful. I love watching these Renos. I am looking forward to seeing what you two come up with for the exterior. Well done 🙌
Wow Emma, that’s beautiful! Had no idea you could clad stair posts, brilliant idea and will store that for future reference 😉. So much easier than stripping paint, especially if the other wood is going to be different. We are lucky to be moving to a bigger house shortly (so living in chaos and drowning in boxes currently 🤣) so been rewatching all your reno videos as got so many ideas from them thanks to you and Simon. For the first time I am realising the Joanna paint might be really good in our new place, especially with the tonal changes throughout the day. Your style is very different to ours, but I love the spacious clean calm aesthetic and this is the perfect time for a change for us. Huge love as always to you, Simon and the fur babies- lovely to see them in today’s video, Pippa xxx
Another beautiful and captivating project. Love to watch how you and Simon have worked on your beautiful home. It’s been a labor of love! You two are truly a dedicated team with outstanding results! I adore each and every project you two have undertaken. Perfection!😊💕
The pups coming upstairs to explore the new space ❤ another beautiful transformation, your landing looks peaceful and calming. I had no idea about the oak stair kits - will need to cover our existing posts, they may be the perfect option.
Mine respect for both of yours, so beautiful renovation and work........... Iam in love with your home, it have been so beautiful, chic, moderne, love the all items, furneture, everything, good good job, Emma 👏👏👏👏😘😍🥰
So bittersweet that this is the last indoor renovation of your house we're going to see!! I have found all these videos so inspiring as we, too, have spent the last 2 years renovating our home. While we can't get Little Greene here in Canada, I was able to find a colour dupe for Joanna at Sherwin Williams and have painted many of our spaces with it. I am sure it's such a relief to you and Simon to be done! Now you can relax and not be living in an unfinished space while you continue working elsewhere on your property. xx
You both make it look so easy! Having completed 2 renovations myself, I enjoy watching your videos because they are so inspiring. Sometimes a renovation project can feel overwhelming and daunting. But I know its labour of love and worth the years of investment. Investing financially, mentally and emotionally. Hats off to you both.😘
I've been loving all your reno vids... It would be lovely to have a complete tour of the house now that all indoor renovations have been finished? just to see how everything looks finished? hahaha 😍
We do have a finished home tour planned in the coming months but we have a few bits in the garden to finish first and wanted to include that - obviously the pool area won't have been finished but that's a project for another time 😆
Hi Emma. I've really been looking forward to watching this particular renovation project and it didn't disappoint! It's beautiful - gorgeous and everything looks so light and airy. I especially love the stairs. In a way I feel quite bereft as this is the last interior renovation project and I look forward to them so much. Still, as you say, there is still the pool house to come and the exteriors so will wait with anticipation for these. But many congratulations to you and Simon for creating such a wonderful home and carrying out so much of the work yourselves. Happy Sunday to you both and the Bs. X
Oh it won’t be the last interior project, we’ll have more to come as we work on smaller projects inside the house. No space is fully ‘finished’, it’s a work in progress 😘
Emma, I am always in aw of your home projects. We are also doing a pool house project. Could you share some of your plans in advance of a finished video? As it might help us with our project as well.
Hey Emma, I have been dying to redo our stairs and it's as if you plucked the exact aesthetic I could only dream of for my stairs and brought it to life - it looks beautiful. I am wondering whether you're planning on doing another cost rundown video for your projects, or if you would be willing to share how much a project like this would cost? Love watching your videos every week, they are my happy place! Take care :)
The largest costs for this project were the Velux and the new stairs. We did manage to get a good deal on the Velux (black Friday and then had it sat in the utility until we were ready to install it) as well as a money back offer that Velux were running at the time but the window (as it is so large) still come in about £1500 (inc fitting). The stairs (inc fitting) come in at just over £2000, but this included the landing banister which again is quite large and the majority of homes won't require. The stair website linked below is really good for estimating a price as they list all the prices and lengths. They were also really helpful when we come to ordering and helping us make sure we had everything we needed. The rest of the costs are obviously cosmetic and will depend on what you opt for, but again we purchased the carpet back in November (Black Friday sales) and had it in the lounge until we were ready to install it. Hope that helps ❤️
Super helpful, and to be honest I was expecting quite a lot more for the stairs so you've done really well on balancing price and finish and it's definitely more achievable than I thought! I'll check out the link you've left and will keep all this info tucked away til after we've done our bathrooms! (we've been in our house for 7 years and it's taken us this long!). Thanks Emma ❤
No it’s a more traditional look and we don’t have a period property so in my opinion it just wouldn’t suit. I also think that full carpet is the safest option for our babies and that’s the most important thing x
Your hallway as well as all of your home is just beautifully decorated with so much taste! I was curious to know if this was your forever home? Could you even bare to leave it?
We would still love to be able to build our own home (it's the dream) but finding suitable locations/land etc proved very difficult, which is why we went for this fixer upper. I doubt this will be our forever home but we have definitely found an area that we love so wouldn't be looking to go far - although if the right opportunity come up, who knows 😆
I wonder if you two have decor related differences of opinion as far as decor goes? I love what you've done, btw! Must be so nice to finally get things how you want them. We have a very similar colour to Joanna in our house, and after 17 years, it is getting close to needing a new coat (or two), no need to reinvent the wheel, we'll be going with the same colour! And yes, I love how it changes throughout the day, and that it suits north facing, as well as south facing rooms.
Oh yes we do. Simon by nature is a very colourful person but, and this is just my opinion, I don’t think he can make things look cohesive so that’s left to me. I am quite a strong personality though and an only child so whilst we talk things through, I usually get my own way 😬
@@EmmaHill sometimes I think, while most men aren't colourblind, they're not good at putting colours together! My husband is a case in point - I'm sure he has a secret motto "just add orange"! Our furniture is all neutrals, but we do add colour with don't furnishings (I say "we", but I mean "I"). I like a seasonal look, so as you know, accessories are easy to swap out. At one point we were looking for a new dining table, and stumbled across a walnut table (it wasn't something we were looking for, but we do have other walnut furniture), he wondered what it'd look like on our black rug - my reply was "erh, just look at our dog!" We have a rottie... The rest is history.
I just can't believe how beautiful your property has become since you purchased it. It exudes all the care and love you two have poured into. Congratulations. Can't wait to see more renovations.
Emma…having watched your Reno over the years, it is absolutely stunning. You and Simon have impeccable taste. Your home is lovely!
Thank you ❤️
With minimal upgrades (meaning not a tear down start over) you have completely transformed that space. It is stunning. ❤
Y’all should be so proud of bringing your vision to life. I’ve been watching from the start and it turned out just exactly right. Can’t wait for the next phase
The oak cladding is a genius idea and it all looks superb 👌
What a stupendous job (as usual) Emma and Simon! Such style you both have!!
What a calm and peaceful esthetic. Beautiful.
A beautiful home Emma, your taste is second to none, and the colour youve chosen throughout the house joanna , is beautiful.😄
Thank you ❤️
A labour of love! So much of yourselves has been put into this beautiful space, it has truly become your home.🧡
Awesome transformation - as always. I love everything you have done. 🩷
I like the black hardware throughout the house. It looks really chic.👍
Stunning transformation as usual, really love the tie in with the black staircase spindles to give a cohesive look. Another job ✔️ off the list! ❤️
As always, I am in awe of your style and taste, both clothing- and interior-related. I wish I had that in me, but I am not even able to copy it somehow. It seems simple but is not easy.

Turned out great, love the little chair you put in there!❤😊
Simon is genuis, you’re very talented
How gorgeous this property has become. Well done guys. I bet you are so proud of what you have achieved x
Thank you ❤️
Love the new staircase!!l

Looks amazing!!! You both have done such a fantastic job with making this home so beautiful, Would love a full home tour♥️.
We do have a full home tour planned for July (I believe) although the pool room won't have been finished by then but the garden will be finished and we would love to include that so are holding off for the moment. 👍
YAY, all 4 of the B's!!! 😍🥰❤ Made my night! Also, great job on your house! Everything we do revolves around our dogs, too.
❤️ 🐾 🐶
It looks fantastic! Love the railings! So cool and contemporary, but still classic. Looks like The B’s approve! 😊 Amazing job, Emma and Simon, as always.
As always Emma it looks so beautiful, such a calm & tranquil space 🤍

The space looking beautiful. You and Simon have done a great job making your home beautiful
Oh WOW WOW WOW……it just looks amazing Emma. I LOVE it all.
What a gorgeous transformation i love it well done to you bothxx
Love it! You should add small side table & a plant by the chair.
I may add more, but for now I’m happy with how it looks. It’s purely to serve the purpose of me doing my hair 🙂
Your house is looking amazing! Can’t believe it’s 2.5 years already…well done both of you, you should be so proud 😊
This is a beautiful space now Emma. Love your taste
Looks fantastic! Agree on the carpeted stairs. Our dogs have done some damage to our old wood staircase. I foresee putting in a runner soon.
